  1. I'm wondering g what benefit at all wasting 15 minutes of TV time will provide?  No one watching is going to change their minds about anyone involved, it's not gonna get Punk fired, you can't actually pay it off.  Just makes Tony and the Bucks look more fragile.  Put it on a podcast or YouTube, don't waste airtime you already have not enough of on it.

  2. Shush, those ungrateful Tates should've been paying Tony to work the dates they didn't deserve!  Because people used to drive 1000 miles for a possibility, they should've walked to the appearance!.

Now, hush while I go yell about Hunter taking swipes at the easier schedule.!

All billionaires are policy failures and fodder, but HHH pulling the boomer grindset for his rapist billionaire father-in-law while TK provides a family-friendly schedule sure is some shit.

    If you're a top guy.

Otherwise, you have to risk getting fired for getting injured working indy's to suppliment the maybe one show you work.

  4. Nice to see AEW's official policy is "If you get hurt working on an indy because you need extra dates because we only book you maybe one night a week, you're fired".  That's a great look to debut after all the other things going on this week.

  5. After actually figuring out how to play, I started Showcase mode again and this time I'm making progress.  I like the way it's presented, and I laughed at some of Hogan's Hoganing the Andre and Savage match (but he didn't do anything for Warrior).  I'm up to Bret/Austin.  Haven't rolled back into Universe or Rise mode as Superstar Universe mode is kinda repetitive and I HATE that Rise mode sticks you with "shit you have to do" in matches.

Kinda annoyed that they didn't do anything for Warrior/Savage in Showcase mode, and only put Savage from that in and not Warrior (his Mania 6 gear was probably his best gear).

  6. The only times I remember it coming up I think during Luger's US reign Flair was throwing people at him for the US belt to avoid defending the World against him, and Rude actively trying to jump up to a World (he was actively chasing Chono's NWA belt while making it clear as day he's going after Simmons once he's past Cactus' lackeys, then once Ron cleared Barbarian, Rude was fully chasing him) but Watts fucking with him in the Watts/DA feud by making him defending the US belt so he couldn't get a clear shot.

I am in the exact opposite camp.  🤣

Also, that "#2 title holder, like US or IC, is automatically the #1 contender to the world title" thing...has any company ever actually stated this or is that just some Apter mag bullshit based on the secondary guy always being ranked #1 in their ratings for every company?  Because it makes no sense.  The #2 title is not the "top contenders trophy."  If it was, wouldn't the #2 title holder get unlimited shots?  Or wouldn't it make sense if he had to give up his belt if he lost to the world champ?  I always took it as "the #2 champion is the automatic #1 contender if there is no other logical #1."  That or you have actual world title contender ratings (which never really works) and the #2 champ gets an automatic spot somewhere in the top 5 and can move even higher with successful defenses.  Or, one more option, just come out and acknowledge your #2 as a midcard belt and have guys who think they're good, but not yet world title level, shoot for it.  Aside from those three options, secondary belts make no sense in kayfabe.

And if you want more than two singles belts, the rest have to be gimmick titles.

Early WCW (post Crocket buyout until the Bischoff era) actually did this, complete with a "This weeks Top 10" segment, where the US champ was always #1 Contender (the TV Champ usually floated in the 6-8 range).  They always handwaved the US champ never chasing the World champ because they were too busy with defending their own belt, until Starrcade 92 where Rude finally was taking the jump after holding the US belt for over a year to take a shot at Simmons, then blew his back out.

Then there was the time in WWF where IC Champ Warrior took the shot at Hogan and won, then vacated the IC belt the next week.  Holding a mid-card *and* the World Title at the same time is a relatively recent thing (as in the last 25ish years).

What happens to the retirement funds if the investment is a loss?

The people with said fund have to work for another 10 years while the guys that made the investment move on to the next one without a thought, care, or consequence.

  9. Man,  I really want to love this game.  But I'm like, 75 hours is, and maybe? at the end of Chapter 11.  This game is crushing itself under it's own weight.  It's too big.  And given how some of these fights went in Chapter 11, It's gotta suck for people that just went for story and didn't do everything leading up to it.   It's not even that everything looks teh same, it's that... EVERYTHING IS THE SAME, for 75 hours?  If you veer off to the side stuff, you lose track of the story because the story beats are too short and far apart. Especially with rolling back to the Zack side to advance what the hell is going on there.   It really needs to be tighter, and about 50% of the side shit cut out wouldn't hurt.  I'm hoping they correct for Part 3, because This game went from sucking me in to now I just really want to be fucking through it but I know I got at least 3-4 more chapters left.

Oh, also the NFL did *not* ban the Tush Push.

I'm sure they will once someone gets injured, but til then...

Well, the other problem is without Kelce playing Center, the play's not going to work near as well as it did.

Oh I don't doubt you. But they also closed the Cruise port in 2011 and it's hasn't been touched since.

But looking, they'll land it in Norfolk since they'd have to go right past it on the way into the Harbor anyway.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Maryland sees if they can't get Federal money to make the whole thing a tunnel like the other two Bay crossings.  Has the added benefit of this never happening again.

They can't.  The bridge was for all the Hazmat stuff to stay out of the Tunnels by going over 695.  You'd have to take 695 all the way around the north side of the city now to stay on highways.

In the "this is why you don't take Cruises" category, a ship *just* left Baltimore on Sunday, it now currently can't get back to the dock.  Next closest Cruise port I think is either Bayonne NJ or Norfolk VA.

  13. Use Lvl 1 spells or the elemental abilties, they don't hit that hard damage wise but do enough pressure wise.  Roll back weapons to your weakest attack ones and swap out lower level materia.  I ended up having to do that to get the pressure and stagger with the special fiend fights in Grasslands/Junon because I way overleveled before cleaning them out.

As someone who only knows the live action movies and only watched Kenobi of the TV shows, where does The Acolyte place? I'd be classed as a casual fan probably. Thanks.

Couple hundred years before Phantom Menace.  This is High Republic era, which Disney seems hell bent on worldbuilding, mostly because it wouldn't be affected by anything that happened in the current story era.

Why are people so out to get Disney, Star Wars, etc.  What have we become?  Nobody hates Star Wars as much as Star Wars fans.  We're all armchair bookers who get pissed when they don't do the thing we made them do in our heads.

It's less about Star Wars fans, and more about what media they spend their other time consuming (YouTube, social media, Cable News, websites, etc).
