There's a rumor circulating that an off duty cop had his gun discharge. As if the Sox weren't a big enough shit show this year. This is going going to feed a certain demographics hysteria about big cities being crime cesspools.

I think that SMU and possibly Stanford playing a dangerous game of forgoing money to join the ACC will end up having a negative effect with the MACs, Sun Belts and Mountain Wests of the world.
If the pseudo big boys are turning down TV money, then why in the hell are ESPN going to offer the MAC or Sun Belt any money, much less anything close to what they're getting now?

More White Sox drama came across today. Keynan Middleton gave an interview where he mentioned the White Sox had no organizational control, including rookie bullpen pitchers sleeping during meetings and players missing practices with no repercussions.
The other scandalous story apparently is between Tim Anderson and Yasmani Grandal. The day before the All Star break, Grandal was not in the lineup and wanting to head home early. Apparently, Tim Anderson found out and said, "Fuck him. If he wants to leave early, I'll pay for his flight." To this, Grandal came up to Anderson and slapped him.

It's a minor miracle Chris Jones is still employed at Edmonton.

To add more salt in the wound of the Mexico/Qatar fiasco, there’s video circulating of a fan being stabbed with a knife inside Levi’s Stadium during a fight as that match was going on.

It's because they suck. And CONCACAF tried to refball to help Mexico and it still didn't work.
Jimenez should have got a red card for striking the Qatari player in the face around the 70th minute. Seemingly every other Qatari player had a yellow card while Mexico kept getting away with BS. The ref never stopped the match after multiple PUTO chants. And he gave 10 minutes stoppage time in the 2nd half.

Diego Cocca is out as Mexico manager. The FMF must have been PISSED the 3rd place game vs Panama drew flies. Although to be fair to him, he wasn’t the biggest problem. There’s no real talent pool in Mexico compared to USMNT, and the FMF is corrupt as hell and plays favorites, which explains Memo Ochoa’s corpse constantly trotted out at GK.

End the game ref, I dare you. If you're not going to call the puto chants, you're not ever going to stop it.
The same ref was a gutless coward in the ConcaChampions with Atlas and Philadelphia Union.
Futbol Picante is going to be a spicy meatball with all the Mexican commentators seething after this.

This ref has been horrible and is deserving of that chant in its non-homophonic usage.
The TUDN commentators want Diego Cocca fired.

I'm more amazed that theoretically-reputable sports leagues thought the dude who stripped down and went peace-out on his team literally DURING a game might be stable enough to run one of their franchises.
It goes to show how much of an outlaw mud show a lot of these indoor leagues really are.

Russell Martin has verbally agreed to become Southampton's new boss. Mixed feelings on this as he was the former Swansea boss. Possession style football and got the double double vs Cardiff. However the club was very inconsistent under his reign.

I don’t think the world is quite ready for Millwall in the PL.
I wasn’t prepared for the curb stomping Manchester City gave Real Madrid, but I’m here for it. Julian Alvarez is a beast.

Not much more I can say that hasn’t already been echoed my so many others. But one of my lasting memories of DEAN’s enthusiasm for wrestling was his unabashed fandom for WOW’s Riot and her hot pants. I was in high school during WOW 1.0 and while it was campy and kind of bad, I still watched. It was kind of cool to see someone so excited about WOW.

The White Sox are so bad now that after no-hitting the best team in baseball for 6 innings, they give up 10 runs in the 7th to effectively extend their losing streak to 10 games.
