So if they don't wan't their push to go away they sort of have to work?  Like, they are being sort of forced? I mean, no one has a gun to their head and is  marching them to the performance center. I guess it depends on what "forced" means in this context.

Different than any job in what way?  I now report to a guy with 5 years less senority, not a better work or attendance record than me, less education than me but he is a smoker like the top manager and they hung out everyday on the smoking deck.  When the requirement came up for someone to oversee our shift came up who was asked?  I'm not saying this will kill anyones push.  I am explaining a potential mindset a segment of the talent may have right now.  A bit of I am doing this now to help you so don't forget who bailed you out when times are better.  Besides no one likes sitting around the house.  The talent wants to do what they do because it is what drives them.

  2. Wrestlers are people.  People need to make income.  People generally can be wasteful with money and run short and don't have something to cover their asses if a disruption happens no matter what they make.  I have not missed a day of work since this started since we are considered an essential service and were told we could take an unpaid leave of absence or a furlough and try to apply for EI or the CERB the government is offering.  1 person took it because they have child care to worry about.  The rest of us are washing our hands like mental patients, have people taking tempratures doing what we can to be safe and working because we want income.  Wrestlers are no different.  Highly unlikely anyone is being forced to work now.  Thing is most are probably scared too because they fear a lack of push after or being a victim of out of sight out of mind

How about Jesse Sorensen's getting screwed over by TNA? Breaks his neck on their watch, they promise to pay his medical bills then don't, give him a job to keep him from suing, then release him once the statute of limitations is up.

Or they could do a more general TNA show with that, Jeff Hardy in no condition to perform, etc.

Probably could be a good story made from this as the whole ordeal drove his mother to bankruptcy

He was fine as the mouthpiece for Bobby Lashley.

Should have kept as that but they never have patience if something doesn't pop the quarter hour right away.  Lio is a guy I could see in AEW since he doesn't have the long time WWE employee stink on him.  AEW doesn't need and shouldn't sign too many more talents or else you will just have a glut.  If Ryder is really Cody's bud I could see him.  Maybe Spud because of the video as a feel good.  Everyone else mehhhh.  EC3 maybe since by physique alone he would stand out.  I just have never been a fan

The thing with Lio isn’t so much about Lio himself but about the inexhaustible patience they’ve had historically for certain guys and their behaviors/baggage, and how it’s weird none of them looked like Lio in a few different ways.

People would have patience with Lio if he wasn't the size of me when I was in the 3rd grade.  In an era with a lot less hosses he looks fucking tiny and you really got to match him carefully.. As loathe as anyone here is to agree with him I actually agree with Cornettes assessment about him.  Make him the smart ass mouthpiece for a meathead that can be his protection.  And have him work in tag team matches so he can do the work and make the rest look good

So with what they've covered in Season 1 and what we've gotten so far in Season 2 (and what's announced to come).... if there's a Season 3, what would people want to see covered?

That's tough.  What could you get a compelling hour out of?  Eddie Gilbert maybe since I heard his last few years were chaotic at points.  I'm interested in the end of USWA and the manager of the TV station telling them to never tape wrestling there again after guys with guns showed up to deliver summons.  But that would be mostly legal stuff.  Or just do a show on general Memphis wackiness and sleaze.  Give Jaime Dundee a bag of weed and a 30 pack of Coors and let him rip

That's a point I was making in another discussion with a person complaining about hoarding talent.  I more or less said the same thing.  What would happen if WWE cut the roster in half.  You would have wrestlers scrambling for indy work and if they got desperate enough start demanding lower paydays to undercut others then the young  wrestlers looking to break in have lost spots.  Next couple of years will be fascinating for sure.  Except for Facebook wrestling groups where people are all AEW needs to sign them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Longtime Toronto 2B Dámaso García has died.

    He was 63.

Damo had some good years in Toronto.  He will be remembered for lighting his uniform on fire in the locker room in Oakland after a late game error cost the Jays the game.

TicketMaster is in a tough situation.  Their parent company Live Nation took on so much long term debt refunding mass cancellations will torpedo them.  Some events will be refunded but they are going to drag out the postponement reschedules as long as they can as it is the concert business is going to be totally different when people feel safe to go to shows again

Talking about releases due to drugs reminds me of Big Vis getting dumped after Michaels caught him doing a big rail of coke off the roof of a limo and ratted him out to Vince. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Stuff like that was worse than today.  You have 99% of the room altering their senses doing something and you turf certain guys for it and not others thats being douchey

And not a great look to release one of the few women in that room.  I remember watching someone's shoot and they said there's not many women writers and that's why the writing for the women often sucks.. well, all the writing sucks but you get the point.

Most of these are layoffs for now.  A big shoe regarding the TV slots is going to drop soon.  If the shows get dumped or reduced the necessity for a gang of writers male or female are hardly required then the layoffs will be something else.  TV stations need content but ad sales at previous rates will be tough in the immediate time.  A lot of negotiating going on right now to lighten financial deals
