a school that's been a source of talent for the WWE over the past few years, no less.

And how long did he have this job?  Definitely less than a year, right?

Well come on.  People complain about why do people go to WWE all the time.  Lance worked there before.  He knows that it can be volatile and he weighed his options and chose the WWE over his school.  He's a grown man that made a choice.  There is no way they gave him a lifetime job guarantee.  We have all made bad career choices.  Lance may just be a layoff for all we know until events can start happening again.  If live events aren't happening and you are just doing TV how many producers are required right now.  Besides with the way the economy is in Alberta now a wrestling school would be on shaky ground.  And closed due to pandemic.

To the best of my knowledge, there's no clear statement about Almas being released? He has an ambiguous "pray" emoji on his twitter and Charlotte posted a broken heart emoji followed by a photo of her and Finlay. Is there a statement somewhere?

I don't know.  It can't be fun watching people losing their jobs.  This day was coming for WWE for awhile since they had a bloated roster, Eric Young was still getting paid unbelievable, but its at such a rotten time with uncertainty in the industry.  We have a time with so much talent available but who knows where anybody will be able to work

I don’t think they’d dare to, because if the options are take a pay cut, or there’s the door I’m sure he’d choose the later. Especially as he’d still make a fortune working for some combination of AEW/New Japan/Any promotions in the UK that survive this.

But what promotions would hire when you are facing this much uncertainty

  4. Unfortunately you had to figure this day was coming.  It's only a matter of time before Fox and USA kill or drastically rework their TV contracts because they will be crying poor.  With people saying no live events with fans attending until 2022.  It is time for a lot wrestlers to look into training for a new career.  All those people who have been working out forever at the Performance Centre.

I know it's not the old Deadspin, but here's a pretty on point article about Jameis and where he stands after 5 years (and I'm not the biggest Jamie's fan)

    https://deadspin.com/you-know-who-jameis-winston-looks-like-after-five-seaso-1842526841

Article isn't that on point.  Trying to make statistical comparisons on 5 year bunches except the other QB's trended upwards or were at the downside of their careers Jameis is trending the wrong way in protecting the ball.  If they want to talk about the Arians effect that offense is a big reason he threw for all those yards.  Bruce Arians is the biggest reason he isn't the starting QB in Tampa anymore since Bruce didn't look exactly thrilled with the prospect of having him there next year. Beginning of the season Arians said in a quote 70% of Jameis issues are his decision making.  By end of season Arians probably figured out it was 100% of his issues.  Then of course throw in the obviously they hate him cause he's Black stuff too.  I've watched enough football in my lifetime a QB can throw for video game yards and TD's but the biggest job for the QB is too make the team believe they can win and inspire them.  Brett Favre is probably a good comperable for Winston.  Brett should have won a few SB's but his dumbfuckery got in the way.  Tampa could keep Winston for another 10 years and he isn't the guy that will get them over the hump because he will find a way to hit that DB in between the number for a pick 6 in the most back brakeingest time of the game

So how is this not a Donald Sterling situation?

Hugh Culverhouse the original Tampa Bay owner was a Donald Sterling situation.  Good thing he died off before the Twitterverse came into being

Those creamsicle uniforms are among the best in any sport. Such a rad colour combination. NFL has some wonderful colours you don't often see in other North American sports leagues.

I casually watched the NFL this past year. People say the Bucs have offensive weapons for Brady to work with. What are they?

Jameis did thrown for over 5000 yards.  The wideouts are good to great.  Mike Evans is a huge target.  OJ Howard needs to step up this year.  Unbalanced offense though since there wasn't great production from the running game

Tampa's OL doesn't look to be very good at all, based on last year's 47 sacks allowed. Bad news for Tom Terrific.

Fun fact New England's O-Line frankly blew last year.  I guess they are banking on Brady being more decisive back there and not holding on to the ball too long.  And being safe with the ball.  They figure they easily would have been a playoff team if the INTs were cut in half

  9. Mariota to the Raiders.  Back when he was drafted Gruden  the announcer said on ESPN the team that takes him needs to adjust their offense to maximize his strengths.  I am sure Gruden the coach will do no such thing

And to go back to stupid blackouts again

All Blue Jays games will be blacked out on MLB.TV in Canada now

You have to Sportsnet NOW since Rogers Media doesn't have enough money yet

That's MLB's decision but I am sure the team brass aren't shedding tears over it

Let's drop this idea of Tyson Fury as a great boxer right now. He's not, he's a decent fighter in a horribly lackluster division. Prime Lennox Lewis would have him for breakfast, As far as being a piece of shit? I'm more surprised when a fighter turns out to be a decent person (see: Klitchkos, Lewis, etc.) than I am when they turn out to be be an obnoxious lout. After all, hitting people in the head for a living is not a choice that most sane people make.

BTW: Anyone else think that Tyson's remarks sound suspiciously like what you might hear from a closet case?

Lennox would run into the same issue others do with Fury.  His pure size and ability is a tough puzzle to solve.  Tall fighters that suddenly find themselves in a ring with a taller guy throws a lot them off.  Wilder is 6'7 and 235 and was dwarfed and bullied.  Klitschko looked befuddled all night against Fury in a dreary fight.  I would pick Lewis in a head to head probably but ole Lunchbox didn't always show up in prime shape himself.  Fury is more clever than I ever gave him credit for.  I can see him wrestling Lewis to the point where he's sucking all the oxygen out of the arena and then walking into something like he did twice before to worse fighters than Fury and what was going to happen if they didn't stop the Klitschko fight due to that cut

  12. Deontay is going for his rematch claiming his 40 pound ring gear weakened his legs and caused his demise.  Not getting dummied about the head and torso by a better fighter.  May as well take the match since dance cards will be full for awhile if he doesn't.  On the level of lame excuses for losses this ranks up there with Vinny Pazienza saying he lost to Roy Jones because he suffered a caffeine crash from drinking too many cappucinos during the day of the fight and Bobby Czyz when he lost to Charles Williams the first time because his side hurt from really bad gas
