Fenix had one of the best matches of the year. I put it at #2 for my Voices of Wrestling MOTY list but outside of that match the body of work compared to Rave, someone who I didn't think was among the most upper echelon wrestlers last year, is bare bones at best. Grave Consequences closes the gap a little bit but there's only so much one match can do in my opinion.

CMLL should give Hechicero some actual opportunities so I don't have to vote against him ever again.

Mike Bailey has nearly perfected a type of match that I will pop for 99% of the time. Shuji Ishikawa has not quite done that though he is a beefy lad which I do appreciate.

Baffled by the sheer amount of support of Drago over someone who actually showed the ability to be more than just "pretty good" throughout the period.

This should easily be better than last year's tournament ESPECIALLY if they eliminate some deadweight in R1. Granted I'm still concerned that we see BWO make it to R2 cause ECW NOSTALGIA RUNNIN' WILD ON YA BABY! Non-Chikky teams are better than last year and teams like DevCorp, Snake/Dragon/King, Team WICKED, and Dasher's "2 out of 3 Ain't Bad" could really help this tournament feel like something worth watching. Kinda disappointing that despite wrestlers I liked back in 2012 they haven't been able to make any cards that seem to reflect any of that talent. Hopefully King of Trios can be a lil' bit of a window into a bygone era of Chikara.

w/AR Fox vs. Unholy Alliance from 2CW '14 Rich Swann is probably among the best of those "flippy black dudes" because he comes off as someone who can be more than that. Also, I am always in favor of the wrestler who can bust his ass in a 7-15 minute sprint and give me something real good. Doesn't have the awe inspiring stuff that you come to expect from the style but puts together matches better than most of them as well.

Harper made me vote once against lucha. BUT NOT TWICE! GO VIRUS GO! I think this would be an easier matchup if the Titan match had happened in the voting period but even without it I think he had a pretty strong resume of stuff with the other 3(WOW!) title matches against Stigma, Fuego, and Dragon Lee. Unless I'm misremembering those matches entirely.

Gulak had a good run and now he shall be vanquished by NXT's golden boy. I think Drew Gulak had a period head and shoulders above Zayn but I know that won't be close to a popular opinion. And then you have something like the Zayn/Rose vs Kalisto/Sin Cara match linked where he doesn't stand out to me in any way despite not being in there with top tier talents(though admittedly they all brought it). I will say I love a good underdog in the voting process and Gulak is as good as guy as any to hope for. Despite that probably not meaning much in the grand scheme of things.

Voting against Cavernario here should be an absolute crime. Owens is fine. Was real good in that Zayn match. Cavernario is world class great. This one is gonna hurt.

Someone woo me. This is hard. Like, terribly difficult. Not voting now. Will watch these matches later to confirm FEELINGS! Cause everytime I watch Rush with Casas in there, it doesn't matter, he's lights out great. Problem is when he's not in there with Casas I always feel a wee bit off. Rusev was your outta left field Hoss of the Year.

This match happened yesterday and it was a real hoot live so I hope that sorta comes across here. Young Bucks vs Dudleys in an American Legion with 400+ people up in there getting rowdy for it.

Couldn't give a flock about Orton. Not a big Owens guy but he's got enough to pass THE VIPER!

Hechicero vs Cavernario's En Busca de un Idolo final is probably the match that best shows his case for BEST GOSH DARN WORKER IN THE WORLD IN 2014. Takes a match that could have easily fallen apart and turned it into something even more awesome.

Don't hop over to DVDVR all too often but SHOCKED to see the incredible love for Neville. Between Pentagon's wild spotfests and his dirty fights in someone's garage he is an easy vote.

My top 2 workers are going to be ousted by the notables. Makes me weep at the pairing of WEAKLINGS! Thatcher was amazing in the time frame. You have his matches against Busick and Gulak. Then he has EVOLVE matches with Ricochet, Roderick Strong, and ZSJ with the latter being one of the best matches in 2014. DANG YOU NAKAMURA!

Hechicero is about to get victimized by this random draw.I like Sami Zayn just fine but Hechicero was simply the best. *SIGH*
