I figured it was the best we were getting. It was far too late in the season with no building for them to do any sort of Kara/Lena romance. I also suspect they wanted to avoid doing another coming out story so late into the series.

Apparently they actually filmed something and cut it?!?

I also wouldn't be shocked if he thought the show sucked, because, well, it kinda does.

I mean, he and everyone had to know going in that this was the definition of a "keep gettin' them checks" type role. I know he holds the Coach Bombay character in high regard though, so who knows?

  3. I thought the Supergirl finale was fine enough. It was kinda symbolic of the show as a whole, in the parts I liked helped it rise above some of the more silly parts. I've just always enjoyed the positive, progressive tone of the show.  I can honestly say that over six seasons, I found way more things to like about it than not, and I can live with that.

The end was really sweet and it was great getting a last visit with everyone, even if I thought the season long arc was lame.

I did find it hilarious that Alex was deadass serious about Barry and Iris not being invited to the wedding, even if I wanted one more Barry/Kara duet. Kara and Lena only getting a hug was bullshit lol

  4. Dude, Jimmy and Haslem were barking from a safe distance for a reason. No way in hell I'm trying to catch smoke from the Jokic brothers, or anyone from the Eastern Bloc tbh. They grew up in a gd civil war. They smoke filterless cigarettes and drink straight vodka at age 10.  The Morris boys have had this coming for a long time.

It's amazing how often I tell The Wife "A few guys on the Driver have been talking it up so I thought I'd give it a try". So when I decided to give Ted Lasso a try (finally) she asked what it was and how I heard about because she is always trying to et me to watch showss with and I kind of zone out halfway thrlough the first episode of whatever she is trying to get me to watch. So when she asked about Mr. Lasso I said "It's about an American football coach hired to coach a professional soccer team in the UK" her response was "God, did  those nerds on that message board tell you to watch it?"

So good news boys, she has identified y'all as a group (also 3 episodes deep and I love  Ted Lasso)

  6. If you haven't watched already, the 100th episode of Legends was sooooo good. Was really great getting to see the old cast again, and seeing them do more "current" Legends type stuff.   Having Rip and Snart in there still being 100% themselves added a lot of weight to it, and I liked seeing how close the bond was between Rip and Gideon. Just really well done stuff, and I just smiled at the whole damn thing.

That rule change(?) is great.  Watching Harden and others jumping into guys has been painful to watch.  It definitely improves the game with that stuff being eliminated.  I'm sure it's just a coincidence that Harden is averaging 8 points fewer than last year.

He's also only averaging like 3 FT attempts per game now. Sorry, not sorry.

  8. I'm surprised(but shouldn't be) that there are people upset that James Harden can't foul bait anymore. I heard people saying that Trae Young or Luka would be "exposed" by the rule changes, and never even thought about the guy who made a living on exploiting fouls for almost a decade. I just hope the league and refs don't reverse course, because the games have been refreshing to watch with fewer BS whistles.

Mildly curious to get back into Flash, but I can't even remember where I stopped (Iris was trapped in a mirror or something???).

That was the season before the most recent one, and pal, you might just be best off skipping this most recent season. The only thing that was done well were the exits of Cisco and Wells.

  10. On a lighter note, I've actually really dug Legends in the early going of the new season. I didn't find a lot of things to like about the previous season, but I like the idea of the team trying to find their way out if a singular time.

I hated the idea of live-action Cowboy Bebop until about 120 seconds ago, but that trailer.... makes me think the idea can work.  My interest in the show just went from -5 to "Why is today not November 18?"

Honestly, when it was first announced, I was in the "they are gonna mess it up" camp. I slowly went into cautious optimism, and now I am at full blown excitement.

  12. Love love love it. I don't care man. I wanted something hyper stylized, and I'm getting it. Obviously the main show won't have all the meta panel breaking and stuff, but I think this is a good idea of what the action and cinematography will look like.

Fun fact: Kyrie will still get game checks for the road games, because the team is sitting him, so it's basically a DNP-CD.

Millions of dollars to do nothing. Good work if you can get it.

I mean, the last several years of Kyrie's career have lead to this, tbh.

I'm guessing it comes up if/when they rescue McNider and whenever Ted shows back up.

There is the obvious parallel with Mike, but I feel like they would have gone down that road already if that was the plan.
