It doesn’t take the place if a 50% sale, if that’s your concern.

Ashino’s TC dreams circle the drain.

Dropped by the new location of The Bodybar tonight. Literally, almost precisely, a 5 minute walk from the place I work on Tuesdays. Had a beer and some beans without oil or salt (Bodysnacking). Then some of Bodyguard's (very friendly and apparently filthy rich) friends dropped in, bought champagne for everyone, sang karaoke with us (I absolutely wailed out Whole Lotta Love), then INSISTED on picking up our tab without knowing how long we'd been there or what we'd ordered. Good times!
Is it possible they thought you were Bodyguard?

That top six-man is about as stacked as you can make it. Seems likely Aoyagi eats the pin.

absolutely amazing that Ashino dedicated his win to all the short kids out there. -
What can you fine people tell me about the films in this set?
-
This fucking sucks.
RIP to a real one. Glad the family got to witness the outpouring of love, which sure will continue.
And I’m so sorry to everyone suffering through this loss. I know many of you have known him personally for decades.

Champion Carnival finals are set:
SpoilerIt’s Ashino vs T-Hawk
Gotta assume an Ashino victory, as Nagata vs T-Hawk would be outsider vs outsider.

For the rich and sleazy among us:

Speedball!
Otherwise, this is the same lineup as the last five years, right?
-
Anyone watching the Champion Carnival? I’m curious if there have been any standout matches.

Ishikawa and Sato will face Onita and Yoshitatsu at FMW-E for the All Asia tags.
Which Sato? Kohei?

T-Hawk is 0-2 in the CC, but he just won the GLEAT title ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let me tell you: ChatGPT has turned grading university assignments into an even bigger shitshow.

Bob Hoskins does a better job acting against special effects characters than anyone in the cast of LOTR.

Yuma beat Kento in what looks to have been an under-attended first day of the CC.
-
Kea was tag team champ 7 times with 7 different partners, which is kind of neat. His best team, imo, was with Jamal, who had a really great run in AJPW.

This question prompted me to refresh my memory about D-lo and Buchanan’s completely forgettable and almost decade-long run in Japan.
Did y’all know they were Noah tag champs? Cuz I must have memory-holed that.

Honor Among Thieves was ridiculous fun. If you are straddling the fence and are a D&D nerd, let me push you over by saying that:
It is set in the Forgotten Realms. Chris Pine's character is an ex-Harper, Justice Smith's character is a descendant of Elminster the Sage, the villains in the movie are members of the Red Wizards of Thay and yes, they mention Mordenkainen by name at one point.
Embrace the absurdity.
I enjoyed it.
If they do a Drizzt film, do they cast a Black actor … and put him in blackface? Dark elves are like ebony black, right?

Fun-looking card, with the rarely seen attraction of a full-force GOA and Evolution. Think Ishida is GLEAT champ, so he’ll probably eat kickboy Inoue alive. The six man will suck due to Voodoo Murders shenanigans and the Saitos’ overall crumminess, but it’s nice to see Kento tag with Shuji.

AJPW is having Ryuki Honda and T-Hawk battle it out to be #1 contender.
Gotta assume that Nagata is retaining on the 29th, though either of those potential challengers winning would be a real surprise and possibly shake things up a bit.
