  1. GIVE HOBBS AND TAKESHITA ALL THE THINGS.

RD Reynolds called Julia Hart "Evil Stevie Nicks" and now I'm never going to refer to her as anything else again.

Matt Hardy tapping immediately was totally intentional (if you didn't catch it, he smiled subtlety at the end.)

That was the one and only time I rooted for Toni, still can't stand Riho.

The Kingdom are just the worst and I don't understand why they're still employed. You could audibly hear the air being sucked out of that arena during their entrance (and pretty much every entrance of theirs.)

  2. I totally popped for Peter!

Ironically, at the time he showed up, I was having a convo with a co-worker. He mentioned that he's been intrested in AEW so far (he really likes OC) but doesn't have cable, I suggested he watch Dark Elevation and Dark. He mentioned he was weary due to perceiving that those shows featured lesser talents, I had said there's a lot of great up & comers on those shows, and you'll never know who will show up, one of the reasons I'm such a fan of their YT shows. Just as I said that, The Wingmen's music hit and I went "Speaking of!" but unfortunately it was not to be.

  3. Tonight's Dark was an amazing thrill ride. References to Tom Zenk and Duran Duran! Tazz calling Slim J a sketchy cat! Emi and Billie practically killing each other! Tazz being annoyed by large sodas! Sketchy math regarding Bear Boulder! And of course, lots of HIP THRUSTING

I love those way  more than I should. The commentary over Sid/HBK is great.

There was not a single "you know", which is a big miss. On the other hand, I could not tell AI Conrad apart from real life Conrad.

EDIT: I take it back, Meltzer in episode 10 is spot-on.

I might be out of the loop, what exactly are y'all talking about and where can I find it?

I understand if you're not from the East Coast but Slower Lower Delaware is very real. The outer, inner reaches of DelMarVa. Shorebillies.

I'm from Texas, so when I heard that I was like "....they do realize Delaware isn't in the South, right?"

  7. That CROWD SUCKED. There was tons of great stuff happening and they just sat there, worse then Dallas.

Toni's new heel make up was terrible, it's like they tried to make her look Russian.

Forgive my ignorance here for a second: I'm aware of the Briscoes, but since I was never an ROH guy, I'm not familiar with them. I'm slightly confused; their character(s) is that they're supposed to be rednecks, but they're from Delaware? I don't understand. Either way, that was a proper tribute and match, the correct main event for the evening. The cuts to Lethal crying just tore us up, though.

    Next week's episode is packed.

I'm calling it now: MJF already paid Cage, so Cage isn't gonna follow through. That's what you get for slapping a guy you still need something from. Dummy.

One of my friends had said "Why not (Cage) just beat up MJF and take his money?"

  9. In the middle of January, I have to give props to two wrestlers that have significantly improved in my eyes and have really made a difference in watching AEW programing:
    Brian Cage and Ethan Page

Both were just dreadful, unentertaining vacuums of charisma prior, I'd usually change the channel when they came on.

I'm totally digging the path (so far) they've made with Cage as far as having a longer, more entertaining and competitive match with local talent he's been doing lately. Coupled with Prince Nana who is absolutely great, he's improved so much since his Team Tazz days.

Ethan Page (like I mentioned in the Youtube thread) was just awful during the Men Of The Year/ATT days, as his stint there was very boring to me. I'm absolutely loving what he's been doing with Hardy Party, it really makes entertaining viewing during Dark Elevation and Dark, despite Cranky-Ass Isiah trying to stop him.

  10. I'm going to need a .gif of Avalon/Nemeth/Serpentico/Luther doing hip gyrations post-haste, that was possibly my favorite thing ever done in this company, ever.

    Edit:

Also, I know I've been critical of Ethan Page before, saying he was boring and such (to be fair, he was, the Men of The Year/ATT was just DREADFUL) but I'm all for this new character taking down the Hardy name a peg, absolutely am loving him singing the lyrics to their theme song, and the dancing, and him calling out Cranky-Ass Isiah, he's truly made me look forward to their matches, which is an impressive feat indeed.
