  1. PWTorch reports that Kevin Kelly has been let go by AEW. His recent social media comments against Ian Riccaboni over the weekend led to his termination.
Additionally, Kelly's on-air performances were deemed below par within AEW, with Tony Schiavone stepping in to assume the lead play-by-play role a few months into Collision's run, a move reportedly supported by Tony Khan.

I don't know if there's anyone in AEW I give less of a fuck about than Hook and his stupid anime fuckboy haircut. Tazz being like "HE HAS A LACROSSE BACKGROUND" isn't helping. Fuck Hook and his one match.

I can't agree. Much like (despite them trying constantly) I'm never going to boo the BCC, and I'm never not going to love Hook.

I wouldn't go that far, but I will fully admit thay my jaw legitmately dropped when Okada grabbed Kingston and hit the Rainmaker.

I mean, it took him a long time to actually hit it, that was a bit strange.

One thing I forgot to bring up, was Excalibur getting upset about Kenny Omega being fired from The Elite - he kept getting upset and saying that Omega was fired (from the company, not The Elite) was this just him not paying attention or being obtuse or what exactly? Boy, I sure hope someone got fired for that.

Okada will hear some boos if he acts like the Asian wrestling stereotype, pretends he doesn't understand English; ceremonial salt, Asian mist.

Remember the rules for Asian (Japanese) wrestlers: either sneaky and EVIL or WACKY.

Comment from my wife during the Elite/Bucks/Okada promo:
"AEW is more for the hardcore fans, I have no idea who this guy is (Okada) but everyone else seems to know him and whomever else new they bring out, I like that. WWE is more for the casual fans, their stories are duuuuuuuuuumb."

Speaking of which, time for the Buck's Jerk-Ass Hat Watch, this week's choice: TRILBY

There are two big problems with that program:

-Deonna showed up, won like two squashes, and was booked as the challenger.  She did a few promos but really there's nothing to latch on to there.  Why should we be interested in this chase when we barely know her?

-People like Toni's character.  Deonna showing up and saying "I want the real Toni Storm, not this character" goes against that.  It would be like Drew Gulak showing up, immediately getting at shot at the International title, and demanding he face Fire Ant, not this Orange Cassidy person.

More importantly: Deonna is BORING. I don't see any difference between her and Deeb, they both (may) be technically sound, but both of their personalities are super stale and I've got no reason to care about her.

  6. That was one of the best episodes of television wrestling in a long time!

First two matches were just beyond amazing, both very entertaining!

Also, HUGE PROPS to that CROWD. They were hot for the right times and dead for the right times also. One of the best crowds I've seen in a while. Y'all made Texas very proud, making up for some lackluster crowds we've seen in the past (looking at you, Arlington)

Things I remember from this week's edition of AEW Dynamite:

Hook just casually suplexing security guys

Toni and Deonna have matching tattoos, the camera work was solid

Swerve beat Jeff Hardy without us feeling too sad that Jeff Hardy is old and slow

    The Bucks were WATCHING~! backstage

    1. They were STAFF, not Security.
    2. Man, Deonna is BORING. I've never seen her before she came to AEW and she's just not doing anything for me. And who said she was the best technical wrestler? They LIED. As much as I hate Soccer Mom Deeb, she's at least done technical stuff (both are just dreadful, though.) BRAVO FOR THE SPLIT SCREEN.
    3. I was initially confused as to why that crowd (awful one, by the way) was SUPER cheering for Jeff Hardy, whereas most crowds are nuclear for Swerve, but he eventually won them over.
3a. Also something I found interesting about this particular crowd was the fact that there was WAY more Savannah Bananas merch/t-shirts in the crowd then wrestling related items, I don't think I've seen that in a long time.
    4. They really don't have to do all this acting to get people to boo The Bucks. Again, they're naturally super unlikable, just have them be their natural, awful selves.

My only complaint about tonight's Collision is The Righteous being apart of the FTGarcia-HOB pull apart. Why would they care about order? Splendid show otherwise.

More importantly THE OUTRUNNERS went out there and they got no mention whatsoever!

Also, are The Acclaimed members of Bullet Club Gold now, or are we considering Bang Bang Scissor Gang a separate thing?

Maybe she's had 26 matches, but she lost almost all of her matches on Dark & Elevation.

Now why you gotta bring up the great Dark and Dark Elevation days? I used to love keeping track of all of the wacky local talents that they used to use, especially when one would finally win a match!

I wonder what Baron Black, Tony Donati and FABOO ANDRE are up to these days?

    Spoiler

"It feels like we’re getting close to that point. I do expect some big revelations and big moments at Worlds End. It’s its own idea, and it’s something that I’m excited about. I do feel like it’s coming close to the culmination and it does feel like the secrets will be revealed at Worlds End, and I’m looking forward to it. It’s been very different than the other aspects of AEW. One aspect of it has been really interesting and it’s been something to keep people hooked and those people that want to see that kind of episodic story is really something that has a lot of people talking and built a lot of interest for Worlds End is the identity of the Devil.”
