I had missed this but Ed sent it my wife because he knows I would be bemused

Also approved - a team now needs to just win one instant replay challenge to get a third one (it used to be you had to win both to earn the third)

Peter Angelos has passed away at the age of 94

Really not surprising but GTA VI is most likely getting delayed to 2026

Not that I think it would happen but if he is gonna get parked for a year, this is the year to do so

Rangers beat the Bruins for the third time this season which is nice. Would mean more if I wasn't positive they will be bounced in the first round.
Anyway - Jonathan Quick notched his 391 Career Victory which ties him with Ryan Miller for most by an American goalie

JD Martinez to the Mets for 1 year, $13 million
Because its the Mets and this is the new hotness anyway - a ton of it is deferred
QuoteNew York will pay Martinez just $4.5 million this season, a source said. He then will receive $1.5 million deferred per year from 2034 through 2038. The Mets, long rumored to have interest in Martinez, were waiting for his price to drop enough to their liking to mitigate the luxury tax penalty for this season. New York is projected to have the highest payroll in the majors for the second consecutive year.

I haven't read the linked article, but I'm curious whether this was actually Larian's choice or Hasbro's (Hasbro being WotC's parent company).
My understanding was that Baldur's Gate 3 was pretty successful, so it would surprise me if Larian deliberately chose not to do follow-ups.
They way they are talking it sounds very much like they are tired of working in the D&D Universe and want to other things
QuoteA Larian Studios representative corroborated IGN’s report in an email to Kotaku, sending over the following quote from Vincke’s talk that “sums [the situation] up” pretty well:
I told you at the beginning that we were a company of big ideas. We are not a company that’s made to create DLCs [or] expansions. We tried that actually, a few times, and it failed every single time. It’s not our thing. Life is too short, our ambitions are very large. And so, like Gustav [the codename for BG3, taken from Swen’s dog who recently passed away], Baldur’s Gate will always have a warm spot in our hearts. We’ll forever be proud of it, but we’re not going to continue in it.
We’re not going to make new expansions, which everybody is expecting us to do. We’re not going to make Baldur’s Gate 4, which everybody is expecting us to do. We’re going to move on. We’re going to move away from D&D, and we’re going to start making a new thing. I’m saying it here because I have a forum and [we’re getting] bombarded by people that expect us to do these things, but that’s not for us. It’s going to be up to Wizards of the Coast, because it’s their IP, to find somebody to take over the torch. We think we did our job and so, for us, it’s time to get a new puppy.

The Lions have released Cameron Sutton
This comes one day after comes out that Sutton is wanted by the police over his alleged involvement in a domestic violence case.
It should be noted that the police have been "unable" to locate Sutton since March 7 and apparently Sutton's attorney is also MIA

HUMANE (dir. Caitlin Cronenberg)
So yeah I guess another kid went into the family business. Looks funny! (Who thought one would ever say that about a picture by a Cronenberg...)
It is labelled as “a chilling dystopian satire,” so take that for what it is worth

This is probably "big" enough to mention here and not just in the BG3 thread
QuoteAt a Game Developers Conference (GDC) panel today, Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke dropped something of a bombshell by revealing that the developer isn't planning to release any expansions or DLC for Baldur's Gate 3, nor a Baldur's Gate 4.
Instead, Vincke said at the panel, Larian plans to move away from Dungeons & Dragons entirely and do something new, leaving the IP in Wizards of the Coast's hands.

I’m sure it’s been addressed somewhere but I’m guessing the Korea games are at the Gocheok Sky Dome (16744 seats) instead of a larger stadium like Jamsil Baseball Stadium (25000 seats) due to the roof and not wanting to get rained on?
They just completely overhauled the stadium so that number might not be accurate
QuoteOver 100,000 spectators are anticipated to visit the venue, according to the metropolitan government.

More insight into the revolt inside MLBPA (which seems to be hinting at Tony Clark getting thrown out)

The Yoshinobu Yamamoto experience didn't start off well.
But to be fair to him - no pitcher is doing well in this game

I am sure I will play it but per the official description you play as all four characters from the trailer at different points which doesn’t exactly thrill me

In A Violent Nature
For those who haven't heard about this one basically think of it as an entire movie where you watch from Jason's perspective (I am using that as a analogy - the movie has nothing to do with the franchise)
