Crazy how the AL East just keeps somehow getting stronger. It's war over here and I love it.

Cohh is a nice guy but I'm going to wait for an opinion not formed by a guy that has directly worked as a paid shill for the studio at every given opportunity, personally.

I cannot fucking wait to experience what Skull & Bones has to offer kekw

Still no Bloodborne on PC, still no Elden Ring DLC, what is the point of life? Why do we suffer so needlessly?

Does anyone here play the Total Warhammer games? I've got them and I've been fooling around in the tutorial Kislev campaign for 3, but I really haven't the foggiest idea who I'd want to dive into the giant supermap campaign with.

One very minor thing that strikes me as weird in hindsight is how in Fallout 4, a fucked up post aplocalyptic universe, you could rarely find little minigames you could play on the pip boy and as far as I know there isn't a single equivilant anywhere in the Starfield universe.

I tend to prefer games where I can play a mass murdering wizard but having said that, who is to say molotov cocktails aren't just a fireball spell, perhaps I will join you all
Even I've given up on Twitter. I knew it would be bad when a drug abusing billionaire took over but I just can't condone continuing to use that platform anymore. It makes me so sad inside.

In fairness I don't think there was any realistic vision of 2024 for me.

I'm going to have to assume all that dialogue was a fan service thing? Because I've never played a Dragon Age game weirdly enough and that trailer told me literally nothing that I understood other than the date.

Heads up that there's now a version 2 of America Rising out which is the Enclave focussed mod, I'm not that deep into it yet but it's even more fleshed out than the original and feels good.
I'm far enough into this now that I'm pretty comfortable calling it one of the two absolutely essential mods for adding content, along with Sim Settlements 2. The first version of the mod was fine but this is just a much more refined and better version with improved custom graphics as opposed to using existing assets, new unique locations, etc. If you're looking to do an evil playthrouhgh this is the one. The Enclave as always are the "ends justify the means" faction with the added bonus of having clear goals instead of the Institute's "we're building synths because... uh, we're building synths". An oil rig base, new Enclave equipment, a really well done mission chain including proper integration with the main story so you can't progress past certain points until it's lore appropriate, solid voice actors, the opporunity to do just enough scummy shit to remind you that you're not the heroes without beating you over the head with it every second, this is just great.
I just do my Fallout 4 modding through the in game menu but if you're a Nexus person here is the link you have no excuses: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/75767

Career Mode releaseing for Undisputed has been pushed to "early 2024" whatever that ends up meaning.

I enjoy the game but I also think there's a ton of valid criticisms of it. I think it says a lot that I'm enjoying Fallout 4 thanks to all the Creation Kit made add ons a lot more.
I still think Starfield will be awesome post-creation kit but I've basically done everything I can possibly want to do for now. There are a ton of systems and ideas that, on the surface, are great, but they lack the depth the creation kit is going to add.
It doesn't help that portions of the main story might be the worst part of the game. All of the dialogue involving working out a puzzle around which planet the Pilgrim went to is just absolute pure nonsense of the bad kind. It doesn't help that Matteo and Noel are two of the most boring characters possible.
The side factions are definitely better.

I know I have a rep as a Fromsoftware Apologist, but that touches on one of the many reasons I love their games. They rely more on environmental storytelling and "the lore is in random item descriptions" than any other modern games I know. It's pure.

All the crap we get remade and letting people play the one good Star Wars thing is in development hell.

I've seen some cash grabs in my time but remastering a game that is like 4 years old or whatever is definitely one of them.

All the luck stuff that boosts criticals in VATS is so gloriously broken. 1% to hit normally? lol

Man, I only use XBOX knockoffs on PC, maybe it's a hand size thing but they are the only controllers I feel are actually comfortable for long sessions.

The only one on the list that bugs me is Resident Evil 4 because it feels a lot like if you nominated the 5th version of Skyrim or whatever

Play Subnautica which is not at all scary in any way and won't get into your head at all. Large bodies of open water don't bother me one bit.

Honestly I'm just glad someone else dived in on this so I don't feel crazy for repeatedly saying "for God's sake try the mod menu, this game is actually incredible a few years on".
