  1. That feels like a planted story considering he's been shown working out in the PC looking about as in shape as when he left, and possibly starting angles on Twitter. He was "almost ready to return" a month or two ago, now he's indefinitely out. Seems like the set up to a shocking heel return to me.
  2. They're basically the worst of post-2005 Kurt Angle, anytime RVD, and 2002 ROH combined into one tiny package of shit. Davey Richards is like...the textbook example of indie shithead. Neck and neck with AR Fox.
  3. NXT already had a bland, interchangeable white tag team that was tall enough to ride roller coasters with Blake and Murphy. The Wolves would have added nothing to NXT. I'm genuinely surprised they got a look at all considering how tiny they are and their terrible habits that you probably couldn't literally beat out of them at this point. TNA going from not interested to immediately signing them and making them a focal point of the company after two appearances on NXT is about the most TNA thing possible, though.
  4. Tried to watch for AJ, but an hour in and a Chris Jericho talk segment made me tap out. I'm sure the match is online somewhere.
  5. LU would be perfect if the wrestling was shot and edited like the vignettes.
  6. Saturn and Vampiro would powerbomb him 3 times in a match just to prove a point in 2000.
  7. I would sa Bliss has more character, promo ability, and upside than Lana due to being able to wrestle, too. I would agree no one will care if she's gone, since no one seemed to care about her at all since the dolph Debacle
  8. Rusev and Lana as an on screen couple lost everything in that feud, but Rusev gained so much entertainment value and personality from it that in the most round about of ways, it worked out for the best.
  9. AJ rarely ever hit that properly even as a youngster. I'm sure doing it 3-4 nights a week while pushing 40 isn't the best of ideas for him. Or his opponents. If he can hit the clash on Joe and Abyss, he should be fine doing it to Curtis Axel and Chris Jericho.
  10. I believe he was like...throwing shit in a lobby during WM weekend with a lot of higher ups and sponsors in view or something.
  11. Again, calling Lana the character a whore on a scripted television show is not at all the same thing as calling CJ Perry a whore in real life. Allegedly punishing her by calling her character is weird, for sure, but if anyone watches that and thinks the real person behind the character is being called a whore (including those involved in the segment), then I have to assume they have similar thoughts when a character is called a whore on something like The Sopranos or Mad Men. Which is bizarre. This is all based on Meltzer conjecture, which was 400 words to say "Something might have been said somewhere maybe, but I don't know, but people are talking about it, maybe, I can't say for sure though."
  12. Has anyone been able to figure out why Riley is still employed despite being bad at wrestling, bad at talking, harmful and unprofessional as a color guy, and injured for most of the past 4 years? And seemingly unprofessional in general, frequently lashing out at fans and shitting on his co-workers. What secrets could he have on Vince that are so bad Vince keeps paying him to do nothing?
  13. I think that's his gimmick. . . . . I love GFII, though. I just love Michael a whole lot more than Vito.
  14. I dunno, that's just how they update things. They don't update in order. 1998 Nitro is almost complete in the last day. I'd expect it to be done in the next day or two at the pace they're going. 1999 has double what it had two days ago. My bigger question is why do they wait so long to do any updates, and then not promote them when they do.
  15. I take issue that anyone wants to see Del Rio at all. He had the HIAC crowd that popped huge for his return silent about a minute in when he was pulling rest holds in a 7 minute match. I would agree with most of the rest, although I don't think it matters how much they cool on Rusev, because he's going to be entertaining as fuck no matter what he's doing.
  16. He does have a lot of charisma, yet also has the personality of a dingy sock that's been stuck under the dryer for 3 years. It's really odd.
  17. If that's true, I really hope the monitor Rusev stole from ringside is there It is true. They use it every week. It's really pretty wonderful.
  18. And they've still got Crews, Aries, Corbin, a presumably soon to return Itami, Bullet Club, Mojo.
  19. I don't understand what you're complaining about. It's perfectly consistent to believe that the Styles Clash shouldn't be restricted but that if it was going to be, there should've been a much better payoff. I mean...it's his finisher. Did you really expect him to go a month of winning matches without his finisher? It was teased because guys tease their finishers in the Rumble, and on Raw the match didn't have a super decisive finish so a Jericho/AJ series could happen if they chose.
  20. It was such shit. Earl running down to say the heel cheated while conveniently not telling Marella that Razor had cheated first? The match should have been thrown out all together. IRS wasn't even TOLD THE MATCH WAS RESTARTED. The Rhode Island Rim Job. Wait. Rhode Island Racket. Ramon cheating did not change the finish. Ramon cheated hitting Schyster with a briefcase IRS brought into play. That makes a big difference. He also got another visual pinfall from a super belly to back suplex. So if Earl had informed the acting referee of Ramon's cheating, Ramon keeps the belt by DQ. Most likely the restart happened because a completely unrelated third party (not a manager or tag partner) interfered. Which for the time period was rare for title matches. If Earl was going to run down there to change the finish, it should have been to disqualify Razor. Obviously he was watching, which meant he saw Razor cheat, but elected to not even mention that part and instead go after the heel who wasn't actually even involved in the cheating. 1994 used a weird theme that never got used on any other PPV to my knowledge. https://clyp.it/vjr3jzwe
  21. Vince Russo is actually making more sense on his podcast than WWE's booking, which is really scary. Like, I saw where he was talking about Kevin Owens and figured it would be a typical "Russo hates indie darlings" rant, but his idea for pushing Owens made more sense than what WWE has done so far. I think they've done a pretty good job with KO, considering the vast majority had no clue who he was before last Summer and now he's a featured player who can be plugged into any spot on the card, get great reactions, selling a ton of merch, and feuding with pretty much everyone on the roster. The only way he could have been booked any better was an immediate hot shot to the championship.
