Is the Legit Boss higher than the Big Boss Man on the corporate hierarchy? Are we talking c-suite or middle management here? Cleary, just The Boss was a front line guy, really junior.

SD has turned a bit of a corner after Roman’s return and the Role Models split, and isn’t too bad of a show right now. There’s some good stuff here.
Roman Reigns is going to annihilate Jey Uso in about 3 minutes at the PPV, right? I’m talking full blown Undertaker on David Flair. I know WWE rarely does color, but if there ever was a time, here’s one.

I got the biggest grin on my face when I remembered that next week we are going to see Darby Allin playing Ricky Morton, giving a hot tag to Will Hobbs so Ricky Starks can pinball, in the main event of a major TV wrestling promotion

Man I love how AEW books these lower card feud enders as TV mains. I expect Allin/Starks might get a similar opportunity in a few weeks.
They also seem to be listening about focusing on the native talent. This show had no Daniels, Spears, Cardona and 10 seconds of Hardy, yet set up Allin, Starks and Will fucking Hobbs for a main event match.

This show was so fucking good with an excellent mix of styles (including pulling “hard hitting stiff as shit four star match with Hangman and Kaz” out of thin air) and commentary was on point all night, including JR who I thought did very well in the Watts logical analyst role.
They killed it tonight IMO. That six man! Will Hobbs!

Like there’s that one very early episode of Dynamite where Dark Order ended the show on top way before the act was ready. Maybe that’s one. Uh, The Ascension were super jobbery but were never a threat.

Wardlow is a guy that I often forget about because he doesn't wrestle much right now but he also has a ton of potential. Big dude.. good wrestler.. kind of has the Roman look going for him.. his turn on MJF is shaping up like Batista on Hunter.. but I wouldn't mind if they played this out for another 6 months or even a year down the road. They have plenty of time. I can't believe WWE missed on him.
All of this, and it’s why I made that post about house cleaning. The roster is ridiculously deep, and you can have that same “this is the future of the company” reaction to any of Allin/Sammy/MJF/Starks/JB/Fenix. Even Hangman isn’t exactly old (6 years younger than Keith Lee, to put that in perspective).
Im with you that Starks is my guy. But the young talent is just stupid. It’s why I struggle to understand why Matt Hardy is cutting 5+ minute promos on the same show.

Also I kinda feel like low key (or maybe not so low key) the thing I’m looking forward to most right now in AEW is Allin/Starks. Their eventual brawl will be absolutely amazing and should main event a Dynamite.
Best Friends / Santana and Ortiz has also been built extremely well.

It’s true and it was, and on a night of amazing promos it didn’t crack the top 5. But the guy is so God damned lovable and charming that I couldn’t help but smile even if I was getting a circa 2011 Impact Zone ‘we know who that is’ promo

Is it time to trim the roster? There were so many talented guys that either weren’t on this show (Sammy, Scorp, Darby, Thunder Rosa, Abadon, Cage, and Cody and Pac will be back) or were on for less than two minutes each (Bucks, Page, Omega, Shida, several others).
Ignoring what they might be contributing off screen, I’m not sure what value Hardy, Daniels, Kaz, QT, Gunn Club, Hybrid 2, Kip Sabian (we’ll see where this goes with Miro though), Janela and a few others add to this show.
I guess my suggestions are Miro is the last person I’d sign for a while, trim the talent base and develop Dark into a vehicle that actually materially moves stories forward.
