    - The Varsity Blondes adding Julia Hart as head cheerleader (who is only 19 so they are all for sure a really young act to feature) is a money move. Like, they're all such good babyfaces but once they get more experience I could see that being a fun heel act.

This was such a great, logical move. And I like that they don't position Hart as the manager. Like she, herself, is a varsity blonde.

  2. My thing is, they debuted Archer, Cage and Lee more or less identically, which was as monsters of the week for the world champ to slay.

They should be *applauded* for doing something with Miro.

And y'all are sleeping on The Accountant, which has what might be the greatest music montage of any action movie ever. You know the one.

  3. Not buying that at all. Regardless of the extent to which the EVP's aren't communicating, it has shown no impact on the company's general bias of letting the talent (especially the veteran talent) run with their own creative. Why would Daniel Bryan give two shits if Cody and Matt have beef, so long as he gets to do his thing?

8-0 #1 ranked Page falling to 8-1 #5 ranked below Cage and Moxley is absurd. Anyone who takes the rankings too seriously is opening themselves up to abuse, full stop. If they're not going to sweat the details too much, nobody else should. Let them book whatever they want and don't think too much about TK's mental masturbation.

Bring back the BCS computers. This selection committee stuff just isn’t working.

  5. It's quite fascinating that, arguably, 18 months into the promotion's existence Cody, the Bucks, Omega, JR and Jericho are the *worst* parts of the program (with the Bucks definitely on the upswing now, and Omega maybe stabilizing a bit).

As for that Cody promo, woo boy. An all timer of Babyface Promo Cliche Bingo: pandering to the town, pandering to the owner, mention your kid, mention America, foreign menace, mention stars of the past....

  6. Fair to say Darby is the best American pro wrestler right now, right? Or at minimum the best babyface, with consideration for Roman Reigns as the best heel.

Shit I want to see that match...

Allin is in that next-level zone right now where he's so locked in he's doing these little things like switching hands on a sleeper hold to sell his arm last night.

Lost in the rest of Cody's promo, I'm sure part of him saw the money being thrown around on licensed music and is trying to get Tony to gift him some Willie Nelson.

Gonna be hilarious when this backfires and Adam Page gets Silver Stallion.

Ok, I luv ya AEW, but I’m going to need two things from you.

    1. No more Cody “announcements”. Why not just an angle or something to set up the PPV match with Ogogo? Do we need to hype it as a “big announcement”? No.

    2. From this point forward, if you are going to do some big stunt or anything that involves some sort of machinery, please test it beforehand to see how it will look on television. That hose was some weak ass shit. The Pinnacle had to all gather in the close corner because of not, it wouldn’t have hit any of them.

Other than that, we’re good, AEW.  Darby took a king-sized beating. Glad to see Miro finally look dominant.

I'd throw toning down the juice to that list. 3 month moratorium starting today.

  9. I thought the first hour was fantastic, then things got ground to a halt a bit with the (legit? It felt ad libbed) OC injury angle and never really picked up again until the main event, which had a little too much Darby offense but had the right result.

Yeah, that just made immediate sense to me. I don't know if she's actually doing a cheerleader gimmick, but she's always seemed kind of cheerleadery. (It's a word.)

She's a shoot cheerleader based on commentary. Agree that the pairing just made good sense as did the letter jackets. Now they just need to add an overweight offensive linemen type and the coach.

Man, if Curt Hennig were still alive, what a great fit that'd be. GIVE ME 100, GARRISON.
