Makes sense. No one was coming to trade for him and his contract so it was time.
They're supposedly actively looking for a landing spot for Tyreek, but he may end up getting cut too.
Tua... That's the $95 million dollar question. Cut him now and the dead cap is one time and it's massive. Cut him 6/1, it spreads over 2 seasons. And a trade comes with a near $25m cap hit too. Everyone knows that they won't get more than a 6 if they're extremely lucky and find someone stupid like... Arizona.
At least to the public, there's been no decision yet. But that's going to be decided very soon. Especially if grabbing Malik is in the plans.
