Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Mariners asked Lou Piniella to return as manager but Piniella passed
God that would have been a disaster. This team is so stuck in the past it's pathetic. Look at the 3 most recent names they've been linked to for manager: Piniella, Bryan Price (popular pitching coach here from 01-06) and Joey Cora (popular 2B here from 95-98ish). It's like they think constantly reminding the fan base of the two successful seasons the franchise has ever had will get them to overlook the shitty product that they're trotting out now.

i agree. Dalton.

If you do switch to Dish be prepared for years of junk mail and phone calls from Direct TV begging you to come back. I cancelled their service almost 4 years ago and still get some sort of mail from them at least every 3-4 weeks. They called a couple times a week for almost a year before I finally got them to stop that at least.

Is Keenan Allen (Chargers rookie WR) available? If he is, grab him, his role has been increasing lately.
-
1) Nicks. Eli will throw 3 picks in the game but should still be able to toss for 300+ yards. I think this week is going to be a "back down to earth" whupping for the Raiders.
2) Given that Flacco seems to have remembered who Ray Rice is, I would suggest him. Schaub shouldn't start anywhere and the Geno matchup is a tempting one but I think the Ravens are coming back to life.
3) Pettis. Neither one is really appealing though. Anyone on waivers you can get?

Today would have been his birthday. RIP.

Morris practiced fully on monday (dunno about yesterday yet) so he seems good to go.

Among the rumored targets for the Mariners job: Chip Hale of the As, Ron Wotus of the Giants and Pete Mackanin of the Phillies. I don't know anything about these guys, anyone got some info on them?

Who should I go with this week? I have 2 flex spots to fill. 1 RB/WR and 1 QB/RB/WR/TE
My choices:
Philip Rivers vs Colts
Alfred Morris vs Cowboys
Tavon Austin vs Texans
Justin Blackmon vs Broncos
Eddie Royal vs Colts
Steve Smith vs Vikings
Jermichael Finlay vs Ravens
Currently I have Rivers/Morris in those 2 slots. I don't really trust Smith given how shitty Cam Newton's been playing. I'm tempted to slot Blackmon into one of them but I just don't trust the Jags offense. I have Gates starting at TE so I'd like to keep Rivers in there too. I guess it boils down to Morris vs Blackmon.
Here's how my lineup looks so far:
QB Stafford vs Browns
RB Rice vs Packers
WR Megatron vs Browns
WR Welker vs Jags
TE Gates vs Colts
RB/WR Morris
QB/RB/WR/TE Rivers
also should I drop the Bucs D/ST for the Colts? I also have the Rams.

Okay, so with Michael Vick out for at least the next couple weeks, I'm left with Andy Dalton at QB, which I'm pretty sure isn't going to cut it. Luckily, there are a number of solid choices available to me:
Nick Foles
Alex Smith
Terrelle Pryor
Matt Cassel/Josh Freeman (Whoever gets to start while Ponder is out)
Sam Bradford
So, who should I go with? Or do y'all think Dalton can get the job done in the next couple weeks?
Thanks!
I agree with pip. Go with Pryor if you can get him.

I don't think any of those guys are any better than who you have now. Smith's not much of a fantasy QB, Tannehill is stil pretty unproven IMO and Palmer is your best bet for yards and TDs but will also throw a good amount of INTs. If INTs aren't penalized too heavily in your league I would consider Palmer, otherwise MAYBE drop Dalton for Flacco.

How many episdes of Lucky 7 even aired? I only remember seeing a commercial for it once.
-
Yeesh those are 2 awful choices. Houston stifled Russell Wilson pretty good (and hes pretty comparable to Squidwa... I mean Kapernick), so I would say Dalton
-
I've been offered CJ Spiller and Darren Sproles for Wes Welker. Leaning towards refusing. At WR I also have Megatron, Steve Smith, Justin Blackmon, Eddie Royal and Tavon Austin. At RB I currently have Alfred Morris, Ray Rice, Daniel Thomas and Rashard Mendenhall. Should I take it?

Anyone else having a hell of a time getting up to 150 million to buy the golf course?
I've invested the entirety of Michael's take from the gold heist a few times in the stock market but every time I invest in a hot stock it starts trending downward

The Colin Farrell Fright Night is awesome because Colin Farrell just steals the entire thing effortlessly.
The only thing I wanted when I saw the previews for that movie was to see McLovin die. Not that I have anything against the guy, I actually think he's a pretty decent actor, but still... you put McLovin in a monster movie I want to see bad things happen to him. Plus, yeah, Farrell carries the thing easily.

Leslie Nielsen's last role:
Try asking for a ticket for that at the box office.
I'm guessing that was supposed to be a link for An American Carol. It wasn't the Zucker's best parody, but it was certainly better than most of the other paordy films that have come out lately. Of course that isn't saying much.
It's a movie called Stonerville starring Pauley Shore.

True. I can't help but imagine that it's gotta be cool every time he gets a call to put on the eyepatch.
I'd bet money he wears the thing around his house when he's alone

Leslie Nielsen's last role:
-
Scotty Goldman
Not just him but the other new job guys they brought in at that time too. I forget what names they used and don't care enough to look it up but didn't Jay Bradley and K.C. James both show up around the same time as Colt?
-
Man, I want Bob Armstrong to drag Scott into the ring by his ear and make him tell the WWE Universe the truth about the fast count. Then I want him to punch Brad Maddox in the head and put on a clip-on tie and an airbrushed baseball cap that says "General Manager" on it.
I'm real surprised they didn't have Road Dogg come on TV to try and plead for his brother's job back just to get the "you have to beat Randy Orton" thing.

Ah I see. Note to fat female comedians: making a bunch of "wacky" faces and stupid antics do not make you funny. Rosanne Barr was funny. Melissa McCarthy and Rebel Wilson (who I also hate just because of her name)... not so much.

Who should I go with for my RB/WR flex spot?
Choices are:
Keenan Allen vs Jags
Alfred Morris vs Bears
Megatron vs Bengals
Steve Smith vs Rams
Andre Ellington vs Seahawks (not likely - Hawks D is tough)
Willis McGahee vs Packers
Tavon Austin vs Panthers
Daniel Thomas vs Bills
The rest of my lineup:
QB Philip Rivers vs Jags
RB Ray Rice vs Steelers
WR Wes Welker vs Colts
WR Justin Blackmon vs Chargers (a little worried that he didn't practice today)
TE Antonio Gates vs Jags (other option is Jermichael Finley vs Browns)
Flex 1 Matt Stafford vs Bengals
Flex 2 ???
