So Rollins took a powerbomb? That's how it reads to me.

The spoilers on PWInsider are even more confusing:

H then brought out Damien Sandow.  He was not happy at what Sandow did at Raw.  Sandow apologize.  He had to fight Seth Rollins, who destroyed him.  After the match, Rollins tried to leave and the rest of the Shield destroyed him too.

The rest of the Shield destroyed Rollins? Is that what happened?

Are those people sending in reports to dirtsheets not able to form a coherent sentence?

Hard to believe WWE creative would choose SmackDown! for such a major storyline event...

  2. My biggest issue is that for all intents and purposes, these characters are dead. I assume there will never be a cure, there will never be a safe haven, any refuge they find will eventually get all fucked up, they'll wander some more, there will be tension, a black guy or woman will die, a new one will come along, etc., etc. That's all the show is and that's all it will ever be. The only possible end is that a majority of these people die and then the rest keep moving on. To where? Who knows! That really isn't satisfying at all.

  3. This has been the crux of the problems with voting for years now. As objective as I try to be, subjectivity sneaks it's way in and shit turns into a popularity contest or a way to troll others on the board, in a good mannered way. However, in Jae's example, he's breaking down performance quality based on what he's seen, instead of voting on who is cooler.

It is a reboot, whoever is going back in time and whatever they're doing is going to change the events of T1 + T2. It's supposed to be the start of a new trilogy and a television series.

WHAT WAS UP WITH SHIRLEY MANSON?????  YOU TELL ME RIGHT NOW LIGER!!! YOU TELL ME BEFORE YOU GET ANOTHER T>V> SHOW!!!

The T1000s were created by Skynet but were uncontrollable because of the way they were made. They allied themselves with the humans to take down Skynet.

Are you being serious here? The non-liquid metal Terminators (T800s, HKs, etc.) were obviously part of a hive mind, but the T1000s were not? Or did they simply ascend from their stasis to sentience? If that's the case, why would they then align with humans and not just see humans as an irrelevant species that should be terminated? Not just that, but how would Skynet stop an army of T1000s?

  5. There's a few hyperbolic statements in here, all in favour of Mr. Wyatt.

I'm voting Cena. Wyatt's better on promos, but Cena's in-ring stuff is better. I'm sure he's going to lose this round, but he shouldn't.

I wouldn't be so sure about Cena losing. It's really close. Both guys have positives and negatives that seem to equal out. It's a coin flip, I think.

  6. That's something else about Bray! That dude is REALLY committed to the character. I love that. You can look at the guy and clearly see that he has put a lot of time, effort, and dare I say "love" into crafting this twisted individual who stands out more than just about anyone since the Undertaker debuted.

Ok, that may be a hyperbolic statement.

  7. It really is amazing. Javy Baez is making nearly everyone on the main roster look stupid. It sucks that Theo is going to keep Javy in AAA until he dominates the pitching there, but I get it. Hopefully he beats AAA into submission.

And I've been paying a lot of attention to the Cubs in Spring Training this year and I'm starting to think that they had a sneaky good offseason. We'll see, but their starting pitching still isn't good or consistent enough to get the team over the .500 hump for this season.

  8. This is going to be a very interesting vote. I think that Bray as of late has really turned things up a notch and now his work in the ring is getting up there with his work on the mic. The addition of the flash/running Sister Abigail has been great as well.

Cena feels like he's been coasting for most of this year and while he's been coasting, he has at times used Daniel Bryan's popularity as a way to get himself over. He's still the same old Cena in the ring, FWIW, but the most notable part about this past year for Cena, the Orton/Cena "feud," was very lackluster. I certainly don't think it comes close to touch Bray Wyatt's role in the feud with The Shield, Daniel Bryan, or anyone else.

  9. Do you ever think Punk does anything wrong?

Well, to start, this isn't about whether or not Punk did something wrong, but more strawmen please.

Getting my shit in before this motherfucker is locked...

It isn't apples to apples, and it isn't relevant to this matchup, but the best Brock/Taker match is better than Punk/Taker.

Well, for starters, this is factually incorrect. It's even more retarded if you think a re-match that hasn't even taken place yet is already better than an already excellent match.

    That's what I was figuring/hoping for.

Voting for Brock because I would be much more upset if he walked away than I was when Punk actually did walk away.

And I don't care if that's fair or not; this is the internet after all.

You do realize that Brock fucking walks away all the Goddamn time, right? Like, he's going to have this Wrestlemania match, and then he'll be gone for another 4 months or whatever the fuck.

Do any of you think before posting?

  11. I think people are underselling Punk's year a bit, to be honest. There are very few matches of Punk's where I outright thought he seemed burnt out or lazy.  I think his quality this year was pretty comparable to his quality last. I'm still sort of torn on this but I think the votes against Punk might be more against his fans than against the guy himself.

I'm with you. If you want to purely go match for match, you have Punk vs...

    - Undertaker

    - Jericho

    - Brock

    - One of the Punk vs Shield matches, whether if that was one of the singles or handicap matches

    - Any number of Punk matches after that

    And then there's Brock vs...

    - HHH at Wrestlemania

    - HHH again

    - Punk

    - Big Show

Again, the Wrestlemania match was...weird and the Big Show match was nearly a throwaway match. Folks, folks, Gonzalez is gone. There is no need for the anti-Punk fan vote.

  12. I feel bad for all of the families involved, but all I can ever think of when I see stories like this is LOST.

And now I just realized that the LOST title used Arial for its font.

Anyway, moving on, this also reminds me a lot of the flight that was bound for France or departed from France that was lost for awhile.

  13. I voted for Punk. I didn't see him stop giving a shit like some people here did and I thought his match against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania was a breath of fresh air. In fact, the entire build to that match was amazing. After that, he took his time off, came back and had the great match against Jericho at Payback, then came his program against Paul Heyman that had a satisfying end, which included the Punk vs Brock match. After that, Punk had the great series against the Shield, putting on great matches with most of those guys, except for the one match with Reigns. He was a little directionless during that period and after though. At times it seemed like he and Bryan would be a force together, but that didn't turn out to be the case. Then it seemed like it would be HHH against Punk, but that didn't turn out to be the case for the most part. He had the nifty Royal Rumble run, and then he left.

Brock on the other hand had a few matches that were all pretty good, he destroyed Mark Henry, and he had the nothing match against Big Show where he beat the shit of Big Show with a bunch of chair shots.

I love Brock Lesnar, but I don't see how his resume from this past year compares to Punk's. Casting my bias for Punk aside and looking at this objectively, it looks like people are voting against Punk more than they're voting for Brock.
