I get a "99/00 ECW midcarder" vibe from Amore.

This week's match was the first time I'm ever seen Rusev. Ye Gods, what a beast. Is it worth going back and looking for some of his previous matches?

Really? A Batmobile?
Don't act like you wouldn't want one too.

92 Nikita? What the hell? When did that become a thing? Can someone explain the argument being made here.Is it that 2000 was HHH's peak year for inring work?Is the argument that 2000 HHH was better than 2000 Kuroda, 97 DDP, 89 Luger, 92 Nikita, 2006 Booker T, 2001 Austin, 92 Dustin, etc?

I hope Goldust gets another run after that terrific match with Orton on Monday. I really hope that at some point in the coming weeks, Dusty gets involved in the storyline and cuts a good old fashioned American Dream promo on the McMahons. And I really, really want all of this to happen so we can get a Rhodes family vs Wyatt family feud someday.

I wonder what that means for Jim Ross? Think he'll do a shoot interview or Austin's podcast maybe? Would love to hear him talk about old school non-WWF stuff.
Five bucks says he writes an autobiography.

I still think Riley is just one great gimmick and an adult hair cut away from being a star. Dude's got raw skills, he just needs to figure out how to put it all together. No one would have given a shit about Steve Borden without the facepaint and neon pink tights.

It would be hard to see what's happening in the ring through all the cigarette smoke.I wonder what a Warren Ellis TNA would be like. Other than the most fucking awesometacular .8 rated wrestling show EVAR!!!

They're just trying to reach that cross-section of fans that are both marks and Bronies. Bronies love fedoras.

Who the fuck are the Dream Warriors? And who the fuck wears a bolo tie and a skinny tie at the same time?

Could the case be made for the /Flair/Arn/Sid/Windham horsemen to be possibly the best drawing configuration?
In hindsight it seems like a supergroup with relatively little downside.
This was the Horsemen line-up when I first started watching WCW, so they've always been my favorite version.

Has anybody bought the new ECW DVD? Is the Taz vs Bigelow vs Sabu match complete?
Yes, and it is an awesome match.

3) Don't slag on Philly too much. We have a well-deserved reputation. But we also have a huge gay presence in town. There's a neighborhood downtown called The Gayborhood. There was an attempt to rebrand it as something more generic but people -- and not just gays -- refused to let that happen. There might be some mooks who say something awful to Darren Young but I guarantee they'll be met with a bad reaction and will also get kicked out -- and maybe their asses kicked. That stuff doesn't fly here too much anymore.
How would Philly wrestling fans have reacted to, say, a tag team with a flamboyantly gay gimmick in ECW?
Considering the way women were treated in ECW, I shudder to think at how Heyman would have booked a gay character.

The first wrestler to be a fucking moron about this goes to..... Shannon Moore! Who just compared discrimination against gay people to discrimination against people with tattoos.
Still probably the smartest member of the Hardy posse.

Last Saturday, Kahagas wrestled on Booker T's Reality Of Wrestling card. This was the second time I'd seen him wrestle here in Houston, with the first being this past April at the Paul Boesch tribute show. Both times I thought he was pretty awful. He wasn't working with name guys (Saturday may have been his opponent's first pro match, in fact, since most of the guys on the ROW cards are Booker's students), so I don't know if he's better with skilled opponents, or just a shit wrestler. Has anyone else seen much of his work?

Funk sold the Double Cross Ranch a few years ago.

If Magnum T.A. doesn't have his car accident in 86, what terrible occupation-themed gimmick do you think Vince would have given him when he inevitably signed for a brief run in the late-80s/early-90s? Or would they have just gone all the way with the Magnum P.I. gimmick and given him Hawaiian shirts and a British manservant?

With the releases of D'Lo and DOC TNA should have King Mo return on the 8/14 Impact turning heel costing Sabin the title joining the Ace's and Eights then cut a promo about being slighted not being asked to join the Main Event Mafia how hes better then Rampage and how Bully Ray is the future of wrestling. A&8's need a shot in the arm and a new member and it would be cool to see them actually use King Mo and have him fued with Rampage would be cool. and they can hid his and Rampages limitations utting them in multi man tag matches.
Or they could finally just end the fucking storyline.

Lance Hoyt is a bit more convincing these days in Japan now he's been putting on weight. But yeah, Rock n Rave Infection era Lance Hoyt wasn't intimidating at all.
Yeah, I bought a t-shirt from him at the Boesch tribute show back in April. He's not as tall as I thought he would be, but he's a lot beefier than I expected.

Scrubber on a stick and his adventures at Home Depot are my favorite so far.
The Home Depot one is pretty great, especially when you consider nothing interesting actually happened, it's just the way he tells the story that's so entertaining.

I would say that Kurt Angle vs Shawn at WrestleMania is Kurt's best match. And I imagine there won't be many to agree with me, but I think the Ironman match is Bret's best match.
For me that's not even the best Angle vs. HBK match. I prefer their Raw match a few weeks later.

Seeing as how all his non-Goldust work has been awful since 95, I hope he keeps the gimmick.
