  1.

HHH losing his cool and forgetting for a sec that he isn't a rassler anymore was absolutely perfect. It's really such an amazing character. He wants you to think he is this purely corporate entity, telling The Shield about "best practices" and "opportunities not failures" but in the back of his mind all he is thinking is "I'm still the best. I could pedigree all three of these morons right now and pose down while listening to Motorhead and no one would say a goddamn word. I'm still the Game, baby".

    Character?

  2. My top 5, though in no particular order because I can't decide what the MOTY is:

Punk/Taker: Taker proves he can still have a great match without having to rely on a lot of smoke and mirrors.

Rhodes brothers/Shield: Dustin works like a man possessed. Cody looks like the star we always knew he could be. Wrestling matches rarely invoke that much genuine emotion in the viewer, but when they do, it's magical.

Lesnar/Punk: Punk manages to look like a credible threat to a guy who probably eats meals larger than him.

Bryan/Cena: Fuck anyone who still thinks Cena can't wrestle.

Zayne/Cesaro: That finish was bananas. Sami's gonna be a huge star when he hits TV.

  3. How does Jushin Liger look these days? NWA Houston is bringing him and Tenzan in on Friday for a match against Killer Elite Squad. I'm excited to be going because I've always liked Liger and I figure this is my only chance to see him live, but it's been a while since I've seen him work so I want to know if I need to keep my expectations low.

  4. Where is all the "turn The Shield" talk coming from? Why would that make sense or be a good idea?

It's a terrible idea now, but a while down they road when the act needs a little freshening up, it could be a lot of fun to watch. Though I don't know if Ambrose would really work out as a face at all.

  5. Barrett tends to work at the level of whoever his opponent is at the time. He's good enough that he doesn't need to be carried, but not so good that he can carry a lesser worker. Put him in a match with Miz and you're not getting anything special. But he had some pretty great TV matches with Sheamus last year.

  6. I love the crazy masks Muta started wearing. Remember a couple of years ago, when that picture of 'Taker with the short hair started circulating, months before he came back for the HHH rematch? I was hoping he'd steal the idea of wearing scary-ass masks in the ring to cover up the haircut. Instead he just came back with that terrible fauxhawk. Wasted opportunity, man.

  7. Can someone explain the argument being made here.Is it that 2000 was HHH's peak year for inring work?Is the argument that 2000 HHH was better than 2000 Kuroda, 97 DDP, 89 Luger, 92 Nikita, 2006 Booker T, 2001 Austin, 92 Dustin, etc?

92 Nikita? What the hell? When did that become a thing?
  8. I hope Goldust gets another run after that terrific match with Orton on Monday. I really hope that at some point in the coming weeks, Dusty gets involved in the storyline and cuts a good old fashioned American Dream promo on the McMahons. And I really, really want all of this to happen so we can get a Rhodes family vs Wyatt family feud someday.

  9. I still think Riley is just one great gimmick and an adult hair cut away from being a star. Dude's got raw skills, he just needs to figure out how to put it all together. No one would have given a shit about Steve Borden without the facepaint and neon pink tights.
