  1. You know, I outgrew the complete hatred of Hogan that I had in my late teens/early 20's. (Although I will probably never fully forgive him for coming into WCW and destroying the greatest run of a wrestling company even in 1994...) I actually think Hogan from 84 until 87 or so was a vastly underrated in-ring performer, and was still fairly decent up into the mid 90's.But good lord do I not have any use for current day Hogan

I feel the same way. I hated him in WCW, because I'm a huge mark for Vader and Flair and I hated seeing them have to put Hogan over. But I can watch Hogan matches more objectively now, and while he certainly adhered to the same match formula way too religiously, I have a greater appreciation for his athleticism and charisma. He really is sort of a pure distillation of pro wrestling.
  2. For under-used moves, I sort of like ring-assisted moves as long as they aren't too contrived. I remember being a kid and totally buying the Stun Gun getting an insta-three, but maybe that's because I have a bit of a choking/suffocating phobia.Still, someone on weekly TV should be using the Stun Gun as a finisher.

Speaking of ring-assisted moves, I wish someone would bust out Bret's old figure four around the ring post. That always looked excruciating, which might be why it isn't used anymore. Maybe no one wants to take it.As far as overused, I'm pretty sure there's a Houston City Ordinance that states every area indy show must feature no fewer than two Falcon Arrows per show.
  3. Triple H is a 13-time champion, but all anyone ever talks about when they bring that up is "The only reason you are a top star is because you are married to a McMahon".

But how often do people say that Randy's position at the top is because of his father? Almost never, right? The difference is there's an element of truth to the Triple H statement. No one honestly believes Randy is a 10-time world champion because his dad has that much stroke. It was a silly thing for Bryan to say, but it's not the message anyone is going to take away from that video because it isn't true.

(And for the record, no, I don't think Triple H is where he is solely because of his marriage... but it certainly didn't hurt his career trajectory.)

  4. Didn't quite follow what he was saying about the sponsored rehab... they won't send him for being just all around messed up, or he wants a prescription maintenance plan or something?

I think he needs some surgeries or something done, too. I vaguely remember hearing something about his ankles being shot to hell. Guess he was trying to see if they'll spring for that, too.

  5. When our little brother Bret was one of the greatets of all time, and your even smaller brother was a super worker. When Dynamite Kid is hanging around your family and the Bulldog marries into it, I imagine a douche bag like Smith Hart, a known conman, liar and sack of shit laid at night thinkking to himself about how ashamed your legendary Father Stu must have been of him...

I doubt anyone in that family loses any sleep over the consequences of their actions.
