  1. True, but I don't think Bryan was carrying Wyatt. He was holding up his end of the match pretty well. And there have been guys with reputations for being great workers whose matches with Bryan weren't as good as the Rumble match. Orton, for example.

  2. That Shelton Benjamin story always sounded suspect to me.

Under Armour doesn't veer very much outside the All-Star/MVP types for their products. (i.e. Tom Brady, Ray Lewis, etc.) I would find it hard to believe that they would want a 2nd-tier WWE talent to hawk their products.

It sounds like a made up story (which if I recall came from Chavo) about how WWE keeps mid-carders in their place.

Depends on what kind of marketing they wanted to use Benjamin for. No, they're not going to use him for a commercial during a nationally broadcast football game, but maybe they would for a print ad in a lesser-known fitness magazine or something.

  3. Okay I've given people shit here about not knowing what a photo is, in jest, but come on dude that's a fucking drawing on the shirt.

The shirt exists in the photo, so while he should have mentioned the shirt so as to specify it as the object in his sentence, it is not entirely an inaccurate statement.

  4. TNA was for sale and Jarrett through his connections with the Nashville music industry and Keith in particular, tried to put together a bid to buy the company. The deal was very close at one point. Bob Carter came to Keith to finalize the deal and the two sides were close on a price, although they were not quite there. The belief is they were going to hash it out, but Carter only had one request in selling, which was that Dixie Carter would remain with her title, have some power in the company and remain a television character. Keith said he wasn’t going to buy the company with any creative limitations, so the deal actually fell apart because Bob Carter in the end was going to protect his daughter.

    from the observer.

At least Carter didn't ask Keith to rehire Hogan and Bischoff.

If he was serious about selling, making Dixie a dealbreaker is an odd move.

Not surprising though. He's kept the company alive this long SOLELY for her.

He just doesn't want to have to give her a job at Panda where she could do some real damage.

  5. Has there ever been a punishment for being a shitty base on a big dive? I can see if the guy overshoots his dive, but if you don't make an effort to catch a guy who is coming right at you, you should get fined or suspended or something.

Didn't Snuka's kid get fired after failing to catch Taker on a dive at Wrestlemania a few years back? Or was he fired for being a shitty wrestler?

  6. Why put over Triple H? Is he coming out of retirement to wrestle full time again? Is the WWE Universe © dying for one last, dominant run from him? Is he in danger of losing his spot in the company? Punk should have put over someone on his way out--Bryan, Reigns, Wyatt, Langston, or anyone else who needs the rub. But not Triple H.

Triple H beats Punk, loses to Bryan?

Better to just let Bryan beat Punk and Triple H seperately. Putting Triple H over does no one any good at this point.

  8. Yeah, I don't think KVE was ever quite that big.

And WCW guys weren't treated that badly by WWE really. Booker T got a World title run and a Hall of Fame ring; Flair got a great run to close out his career; Hogan was treated like a huge deal; Nash and Steiner got main event pushes; Lance Storm had a successful run in the midcard for a few years (even though some of the writing for his character was awful); Stacy Keibler got famous enough to hook up with George Clooney; Chavo, Shannon Moore, and Hurricane made good money for a while... yeah, DDP and Mike Awesome deserved better, but most of the WCW guys that flamed out weren't good enough to hang in WWE anyhow (Stasiak, Kronik, Buff).
