Super heated match tonight. Doesn't get any better when Arena Mexico is rockin' and the guys are just brawling all over.

If it were like a regular TV show wouldn't they return in October/November anyways? Not many TV series I know of start, do a season & then randomly wait 6+ months to start again. Rough show this week. Any show is going to be rough when Sexy Star is working twice, Killshot is in action & Daivari is on my screen. Something real awful must have happened in that Bengala/Daivari match because they did an immediate edit and then 3 more in under 30 seconds. LOL It was pretty jarring. Excellent point by Naimark re: Pentagon/Sexy Star. Never looked at it that way but dead on. Was 100% not a fan of Pentagon getting laid out here. Won't rant or anything but I think he should have countered & laid out Pentagon. The whole idea going in should be Vampiro doesn't have it & he's the underdog. Now they are playing it like Vampiro unleashed his inner demon and can hang with Pentagon which is really not at all how it should be. But whatever. I kinda expect a certain match is coming and you gotta figure Pentagon wins but Vamp really wins if you know what I mean. The ending segment was really good though. In fact all the hype for Ultima Lucha has been great. I liked Striker's hard sell mid-show of the entire lineup. Curious to see what fills the next 2 weeks as everything seems to be in place at this very moment.

I like Mortal Kombat style stories so in my mind Dragon Azteca saw forward in time and knew Lotus would go after Dario's monster so he sent Puma to Konnan knowing it would get him in the Temple. Now Puma acts as Azteca's eyes and ears. Why? Because Dragon Azteca isn't allowed in the Temple. Dario all but said so. JUST LIKE HOW RAIDEN COULDN'T GO INTO SHANG TSUNG'S ALTERNATE DIMENSION YOU FUCKERS! I love this show. Except for Daivari. He really doesn't fit in anywhere.

Yet. Would be a great storyline for the show (or comic?) to see how Puma went from that to being indebted to Konnan.

Hey, the build to Vampiro vs Pentagon Jr has been tremendous. But in the end I think this will be just like Lost. Superb build-up to a finish that falls off a cliff and satisfies nobody making the journey useless in hindsight.

The Tuesday shows only have two more weeks left. Friday's will go until August 21.

What bothers me with this thing is Ricochet is said to be the second highest paid guy there behind Alberto. They jumped through hoops to get him. He has no incentive to jeopardize his spot unless he knows things aren't good. He's also not going to NJPW and risking having to cancel a tour if LU suddenly announces new taping dates. We'll see how it plays out but bottom line is as an LU fan this is an awful sign. Not to mention the other LU guys taking/inquiring about other work.

Ricochet showed up in New Japan today... I know the usual suspects will be in denial mode saying guys can work where they want when LU isn't taping but probably not a good sign the top LU guy is trying to get back in with NJPW. Especially since they appear to be building a long term match with him vs Omega rather than just a one-off appearence. :/

BOLA tickets haven't gone on sale yet. It was the July show that sold out in 3 minutes. BOLA tickets will go faster.

A lot of people get mad at PWG for not doing iPPV or having the show up for download the day after but if it were effecting their bottom line, don't you think they'd have changed long ago? I think PWG is in the perfect spot. Limited seating + huge demand = they have carte blanche to charge what they want for upcoming shows. PWG is running a successful profitable wrestling company. How many other groups can they say that these days?

I think it was. Chavo came off really bad there with the odds being stacked and he gets hurt, does nothing, loses. But who cares, it's Chavo. Alberto's promo was so great. Probably has a lot to do with the demographics but I'd like to think it's just a more educated crowd since every insult in Spanish gets a bigger pop than one in English. The build to Puma/Muertes is great so far. Ultima Lucha shaping up quite nicely.

Refreshing today to see the guys finally break from the format and not do 4-5 minutes of useless matwork to waste time. Both matches were just okay with Maya/Esfinge being slightly better. Both had upset wins. In the case of Delta that's pretty much it for him in this tournament and he seems to be okay with that. Referee fucked up the finish because as usual it's CMLL. Shocker's run of actually appearing came to an end so the two guest judges were Atlantis & Felino.

I think AJ is booked in Europe that weekend so he won't be there. Willie Mack was bitching on twitter about being excluded. Who knows. Such an amazing fucking lineup. Forget the tourney, imagine the non-tourney match possibilites! Aero Star/Fenix/Jack/Angelico vs Ricochet/Swann/Everett/Lee! I am so beyond hyped. This tourney is like wrestling heaven for me aside from Thatcher.

That match with Flyer/Boby was everything this tournament should be. Young guys doing wacky shit, some works, some doesn't. But at the end of the day they're trying to impress & the crowd is into the match. This should be the template of all matches. Props to both for coming up with a spot so Flyer could get dropkicked into the boobs of the chicks at ringside. That is professional wrestling to me. Blue Panther Jr./Canelo Casas was awful. Both are abysmal. Canelo's finisher is weaker than parents putting their newborn to sleep in a crib. Best part of the night was during judging (which is dumb & Tirantes is being exposed as an idiot) - Blue Panther is guest judge and REFUSES TO SCORE HIS OWN SON because you know... not fair or whatnot. JCR yells out "If you don't score him, he'll get a 0." Blue Panther doesn't budge. HIS OWN SON GETS A FUCKING ZERO BECAUSE NOBODY IN CMLL BOTHERED TO ASK HIM IF HE WAS GOING TO RATE HIS SON OR NOT. Good thing he deserved the 0. I still think CMLL will end up with some story saying Panther Jr. got scored backstage and give him a 5 or something. Or 15. Who knows. This tournament scoring is beyond stupid.

For those living under a rock - PWG announced AERO STAR, JACK EVANS, ANGELICO, PENTAGON JR., FENIX & DRAGO for this year's BOLA tournament. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHmazing!

You guys are nuts. That skit was great. Show was pretty bleh aside from Aero Star kicking tons of ass. Was a bit of a bummer Drago's story arc went so quickly & now he's in a feud with Hernandez. In the amount of time between Jack Evans appearences they had the big Drago sendoff, the big Drago return, the big Drago win & the Drago loss of his big win. Seemed rushed. The New & Improved Mil Muertes is pretty great though. Marty The Moth is hilarious and anyone who disagrees is clearly out to lunch! Sexy Star vs Super Fly was finally the inevitable match you knew had to come at some point to challenge Demon Jr. vs Chavo Jr. for worst match in the short history of the company. Super Fly was trying... but ugh... that woman. She's lucky he caught her on that dive where she slipped.

I hope the brother ends up being special effects. Not joking. Curious to see how that goes over with the audience.

The last thing Lucha Underground needs is that headcase. Unless it's for voiceover work. His act gets old fast no matter where he works and he's another guy who packs up as soon as he doesn't like his direction (I.e. You tell him it's time to lose).

Aero Star's dive. AMAZING. Hard enough to jump one rope to another but right before that he did the never before done 2nd rope to top rope springboard which is so beyond complicated. Easy dive of the year. And he made it look so easy few probably appreciate the difficulty.
