Sadly, this. I'm surprised that WWE is even entertaining the idea of taking him back, especially considering the fight he had with Sammy Guevara. Of course, they took CM Punk back, but all those aspects - the complaining, lack of draw, injury prone, dude sounds like he ate a bag of marbles when he's on the mic - are against him.

Roderick Strong's gimmick should be he wears a neck brace and glasses everywhere. Even though his neck is fine. Since he was The Devil's Goon, have him wear a black neck brace. He can repeat Randy Orton's early gimmick where he talks about how his neck is 99.9999% healed and he'll be ready to be back in the ring any time now.

MJF did indicate that he doesn't know what the future holds for him after tonight's main event. It doesn't necessarily mean he'll be signed right away to WWE but if there were a way to write off MJF from AEW and he then signs with WWE, this would be it. Tony Khan is not necessarily known for his World champions have more than 2 matches against the same opponent for the title.
I think Mania would be too soon now that I think about it. Maybe towards the end of next year / Royal Rumble 2025 would be a safer bet.

Server shutdown announcements:
- The Crew is shutting down on March 31, 2024. I'm trying to Platinum it now.
- Rocket Arena is shutting down on March 21, 2024. I already got the Platinum on PS4.
- Warface Breakout is shutting down on April 30, 2024. I Platinum'ed it back in September.
- Dark Souls II on PS3/Xbox 360 got announced as shutting down on March 31, 2024. I got the Platinum on it. Armored Core Verdict Day on PS3/Xbox 360 also got announced as shutting down on March 31, 2024. After The Crew, I'll be working on that.
- F1 2011/F1 2012/F1 2013/F1 2014/F1 Race Stars for PS3/Xbox 360 and Micro Machines World Tour on PS4/Xbox One are shutting down their servers on March 21, 2024. I don't have any of those games so it doesn't matter to me.
Not to mention the earlier announcement for January 31, 2024 that Gran Turismo Sport's servers are shutting down. I won't even bother with that due to the sweatiest of the sweatlords playing that game.

(and if you’re wondering why they’re pivoting to being a Marvel studio - internal docs show that Ratchet & Clank didn’t turn a profit. The new game in 2029 is probably their send-off, seemingly a sequel to A Crack in Time)
I wonder if Venom will be a standalone game a la Spider-Man Miles Morales or Uncharted: Lost Legacy or if it'll be expansion pass DLC for Spider-Man 2.
Sucks that Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart didn't sell even though it's a visual showcase for the PS5. Not everything on every system has to break even or have a profit. At least Sony is putting out games vs what Microsoft is doing where they say a game is coming but who knows if it's actually going to be out.
By the time 2030 rolls around, I'll be 49 (!). I'm getting too old for this sh*t.

Honestly, Naughty Dog could have passed development to a different studio and let them finish up instead of cancelling it. The way the announcement described it made it seem like it would be a decade long commitment. But oh well. I'm hoping we'll see The Last of Us Part III next year or the new IP they've been working on next year.

Thanks. Compared to a lot of my PSN friends, I'm actually slower at getting platinums. I'm at 313 platinums now. I have no intention of being a professionial gamer or on Twitch. I'm pretty fucking boring.

What's worse is: 1) there's unskippable cutscenes and 2) no checkpoints for the whole boss fight and 3) you beat the boss but there's second (and/or third/final) form that reups the lifebar/HP of the boss. In addition to the mooks that join the fight.

Technically, I've been on night duty only a week, but the other week I was on day shift at Chitose AFB in Japan, so it may as well have been night duty as far as the effect it has had on my body clock goes now that I am back stateside.
I'm also old so I understand. I almost said FMW instead of FMV. Why the hell would FMW make video games I don't know.
When GTAVII is out, I may be having to take arthritis medicine and use dentures.

I bought Baldur's Gate 3 to add it to the pile of games that can be seen from space.
Also yesterday - the servers for Battlefield Bad Company 1 & 2 shut down. Pour one out for the OG kings of multiplayer. I managed to Platinum them both, but even then it's crazy that it's over.

I'm rather disappointed we didn't get a Death Stranding 2 trailer. OD completely underwhelmed me and looked like a FMV game. With it being on Xbox, it may not come out given Microsoft's track record of announcing games with a lot of hype and you then hearing nothing for years. I'm still waiting on Everwild, Perfect Dark, Contraband, Clockwork Revolution, Fable, South of Midnight, and Stalker 2 to get more trailers and a release date. But Microsoft will have them on GamePass.
Based on what I saw with Hellblade II, I'm highly doubtful it's coming in 2024. Just "2024" as a release year doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
Also, I didn't know Satoshi Kojima did video games! Including elbowing CM Punk in the dick, he makes video games! What a talented guy!

Although Rockstar Games will never do this after the stupid money they've made with GTA V Online, I hope we get standalone single player campaign DLC based in Atlanta (or whatever Rockstar calls Atlanta) for GTA VI. There's at least a dozen stories on Atlanta news that are Florida Man-esque in their craziness and stupidity. They have to have the Marta bus driver stupidly blocking the camera feed of the demolition of the Georgia Dome.

Having driven through Florida recently.....it was like everywhere I saw in Florida in one game based on that trailer. They even had the car meetups (which I thought was an Atlanta thing). Convenience store signs written out? Check. Apple Pay logo? Check.
All it needs is The Villages equivalent and Florida's ridiculous toll system. I saw a guy pushing an airport luggage carrier train on the sidewalk too there.
I'm hoping Rockstar Games actually has single player campaign non online DLC that's set in the GTA version of Atlanta.
By the time it's presumably out....I'll be 44. Holy shit.

Mars Williams of Psychedelic Furs died on November 20. I managed to catch Psychedelic Furs and Squeeze when they came to Atlanta about two months ago. Crazy that was one of his last shows.

I'm not saying Punk's opinions will have changed, he just won't be able to vocalize those opinions on WWE shows or capitalize on those opinions through merchandise sales. It's kinda like indie bands that go to major labels - everything that made them unique is changed to fit in with the major labels.

This time, I think it's different. He lost his title and I don't think he signed a new deal. It makes too much sense. I can't really see him 'wrestling without a contract' once he's healed up to chase after the AEW World title in 2024. Unless he's doing a one last chance at the title and if he loses, he leaves AEW forever.
No, I don't think he'll be on Raw tonight or on Day 1 PPV or even at the Royal Rumble. I'm far from the biggest MJF fan (my post history should tell you that) but I think he should go to the WWE while he has a chance. At the start of 2023, I would have said no. But he at least has a chance to be in the main event for WWE. It just goes down to timing if he is leaving AEW.
