At some point recently we were talking about Bruiser Brody and if he would play ball with Vince and Hogan if he came in for a run. The conversation happened. Here's some second hand confirmation from someone who has no reason to lie about it:

I remember hearing a fellow wrestler (for the life of me, I can't remember who) who was close to Brody saying he would never turn down this match. If the money was right, Brody would have definitely jobbed to Hogan.

It's just so simple! Breach your contract in protest! The media will surely shame TKO into treating everyone better and nobody will ever be retaliated against!

No they won't. The media doesn't care. How many years have there been scuzzy stories about wrestling, and most of them are tantamount to 1) hey, those scuzzy dudes are scuzzy again or 2) those fakers are fake! This is just another story for them that they'll report for two or three days, but it's the circus in town and they literally don't care.

This is going to take either years and years of systemic change (which starts with a willingness to change, which seemed like it was going to happen in 2022 until Vince power played himself back in), or literally the entire company's going to have to walk out. And that's the other kicker; everyone on the roster may disagree, but the performer's drug inside of them may not let them because of the twisted belief that they don't want to let the fans down.

But of course, there will be people who blame the talent for getting locked up in a contract for years on end with literally no way out on their end and no other discernible skills other than putting on the performance of a fight. The machine has taken advantage of these people for decades, and it's very idealistic to say that they should throw themselves at the mercy of the employer who will 100% retaliate against them and just not put on a show.

I'm just saying I feel bad for the people who are in a no-win situation through no fault of their own, because they're the ones who are going to get hit the worst on this, not... y'know... the human trafficker/rapist/sexual abuser(s).

I generally agree with this for 95% of the roster. But then there's the 5 % who have enough pull to do something (Cena, Cody, Punk, Roman, Becky maybe) but won't. I don't expect Liv Morgan or Chad Gable not to show. But Punk or Cody? I don't see why they at least can't threaten to no show.

That would be nice, and I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong, but if he had any character, he wouldn't have gone back to "the place that made him sick" in the first place.

I'll be honest, he'll be there wearing a "Believe All Women " shirt or something and think that's all he needs to do. But I'll be far more disappointed if AJ Lee shows up

    That's another one.

I would also add the Glaube Feitosa question mark kick. Hell people don't do it enough in MMA/kickboxing let alone wrestling. Someone needs to take up the mantle since Arisa Hoshiki is retired.

I've seen Shida bust out the Question Mark kick. Hers isn't bad

To me what he said about Cabana and his mother was pretty garbage thing to say and he had no right to say that. Even if Cabana was at fault for their falling out, that was a despicable thing to say, and it was basically doxing of Cabana's mom. Did he even ever apologize for that? He had no right to say and it's also exposing private financial info.

This right here is what he should of been ,at least, punished for. The second that crap came out of his mouth, Khan should've covered up his mic, said "this interview is over", and gotten Punk out of there.

  6. At this point, the thing that would make the most sense is if it turns out Jey is actually still a member of The Bloodline as well, and this whole thing has been an orchestrated ruse cooked up by Heyman and Roman so no other contenders for the title would want to get involved with the family drama.

I had that thought too yesterday chatting w Curt about it, but I just felt like it runs the risk of being 'already treaded land' with them just having touched on a lot of the same beats in the build to the Forbidden Door 8 man last month - though I will say, I do like the idea of Mox/Kingston being in this sort of never-ending, Sami/KO-type state of intertwinedness. If there's a way to make it work logically, I'm fully onboard.

My second choice would be Hero, if he can be convinced to get back in the ring

JAS should blow up any minute now. If they start doing that to BCC I'ma be PISSED. Zakk's ideas are on the money.

If -- and this is a BIG IF from me -- they decide to break up BCC they need a real divisive figure to be initiated into the club and cause a rift. For the life of me I can't think of who that would/should be.

Adam Cole will actually get over as a sympathetic babyface when MJF eventually turns on him. Though that got me to thinking...what if they're going to pull a swerve and have Cole to be the one to turn?

This is actually what I'm thinking. Especially if White/Juice win the belts.

I dreamt last night that Roman Reigns finally lost his Undisputed WWE Universal Title to... Eddie Kingston. WWE and AEW had done some sort of mutual cooperation/exchange thing, but I can't remember who AEW got out of the deal. I don't hate that booking though.

Now I want to hear Kingston roast Reigns on the mic.

Per PWInsider, Brian Pillman Jr. is gone from AEW. At the time, I think Pillman was a good signing by the company, but I don't think he ever truly came out of his shell. Not sure where he lands next, but I think playing the field can do him some good. I think he needs to find his own niche and identity outside of having his father's name.

I'm half expecting him to show up on Dynamite, rant about not having a contract, and start acting crazy. Maybe call TK "bookerman".

Claudio and Yuta had started to interfere in the match before Kingston came out.

No they didn't. They hovered over Ishii, but they never laid a hand on him.

The BCC have always been presented as overly violent tough guys, not conniving heels who have to cheat to win. That's really my point.
