PWInsider has a story about Stan Lane and Lauren Boebert, his latest DNA Paternity test proved he isn't Lauren's biological father.

The news got me thinking… did Stan Lane ever wrestle for the WWF? (Not counting his stint as a color commentator of course.)

By the time WWF had their crossover with SMW, Jimmy Del Ray had already replaced Stan in the Heavenly Bodies. Did the Fabs ever have a one-off at MSG?

And seeing Kid Rock and his wife (or girlfriend?) almost licking each other's faces was gross. But I hate Kid Rock, so seeing him at all was going to grind away at me. I admit bias.

That was comedian Chelcie Lynn. She’s married to Officer Greg of YouTube/Facebook game.

  3. That giant swing on top of the cage was insane. Goes to show you how much trust Jericho has with Claudio.

What was the point of pulling up the ring apron and padding? I don’t recall anyone taking any bumps on the boards. Could that have been a planned Santana spot or were they possibly going to do a flaming ring spot with the rubbing alcohol?

I'll be honest, all this time I added VanDwnBytheRivr to the list and I had no idea it was you.  I thought it was just random person my wife knew.  But there's one mystery solved.

I only had two gifts from Da Crusher statue to share. Sorry!

  5. Wrestling as an art form is an illusion. The crowd is supposed to believe that the two competitors are destroying each other, when in reality they are working light as a feather. WALTER/Ilja was not this. That was two dudes beating the dog piss out of each other and I loved every second of it.

  6. I couldn’t find a separate thread for A&E’s Most Wanted Treasures show. Like all realty shows, you can tell that most of what happens is scripted/pre-arranged.

With that being said, the show is really enjoyable. It’s a little surprising that some of the legends have their memorabilia stored in totes in either their attics or a storage unit instead of being displayed in their home. Bob Backlund has been the highlight so far. The man is a lunatic, and at 71 years of age, is in far better shape than I am.

    A few scattered thoughts:

    - Those rain delay promos were hilariously bad. It's like no one knew what to do when they were off-script or things didn't go according to plan. Everyone looked super nervous and off their game.

Kevin Owens’ promo was really good and Bianca’s was just fine.

    1993 Memphis Alert!!!

Someone's posting all of 1993 Memphis TV which is the year WWF invaded and is well worth watching if you haven't seen it:

    https://www.youtube.com/user/sceduk/videos

I’m bumping this up because this user has uploaded tons of rare footage that I’ve never seen before.  Barnett’s WCW Australia from the 70s, lots of Wrestling at the Chase episodes, Hawaiian wrestling from the late 70s to mid-80s, Buddy Rose compilations, and multiple WWC videos.

Does anyone do the patreon for the Conrad podcatss (adfreeshows.com)? I'm curious if I were to sign up for it for a month or two, would I be able to save the shows on my hard drive as mp3 files so I can burn them to disc?

I have the exact same question. I am going on a long road trip next week and was looking into becoming a patron for Ron Fuller’s Studcast and Between the Sheets. Are these Patreon shows stream-only or can I download them?  I don’t know what type of phone reception I’m going to have.

    Fuck it, I'll post it:

It's not embedding, but rarely have I been more surprised. Who knew Randy Orton would have one of the most profound takes on what black lives matter means, not to mention the easiest way to explain why black lives matter is important to begin with.

Randy Orton... Man, 2020 is the weirdest timeline.

Also shocking was that Darren Young namedropped Randy Orton (amongst a couple others) as wrestlers who had his back and supported him when he came out of the closet.

A finish I never recall seeing in years is the one Ron and Rob Fuller did in the 70s.

rob would backflip the opponent and Ron would catch the guy and then piledrive him.

I remember Meng and The Barbarian doing the piledriver version once or twice. I think they switched to a similar setup, but Barbarian would catch the guy upside down and then deliver a power bomb.

So we are at the point where the Drake Maverick release is a work yeah? Him winning the CW title to 'keep his job' is just like Slater having to win the Tag Titles with Rhyno.

I don’t think there is any chance Drake wins next week. This whole tourney has been building up to Fantasma’s reveal as the mastermind behind the kidnappings.

yeah, the main story of somebody at SS92 being unable to perform is Davey Boy.. so Hawk also being similarly messed up was never really focused on

Allegedly Animal burned his leg prior to the match too. Hawk parked his cycle too close to Animal’s, and Animal had to dismount on the wrong side. Animal then burned his leg on the exhaust.
