Even by game company standards, those names are stupid.

i did not enjoy that jets game
I did. Colorado losing is always glorious.
It's crazy to me that Winnipeg is averaging 6 goals a game against Colorado this year.

Well damn... well done Detroit:
They're very popular with the fan base but I don't like 'em. I do, however, like the new versions of the home and road jerseys. I'll be getting one of the road ones for sure.

The Colorado Rockies are now currently under Federal Investigation
It looks and sounds to me like the Rockies and the coach aren't in trouble here but that United will be. It's their job to keep him out of the cockpit and he clearly didn't force his way in.

My brain only saw the word runs and its cold outside and there are wolves after me
That's a lot of words for "I'm old."

Yes because you said runs
If its RBIs then nevermind
"drove in 100+ runs" - that's RBI

I dunno what you're looking at. Paul Molitor had 113 RBI in 1996. Herr had 110 in 1985.
Are you looking at runs and not RBI?

Tommy is in rare company - guys who drove in 100+ runs while hitting less than 10 homers. Pretty sure he and Paul Molitor are the only ones to do it since 1950.

Don't feel like digging up a WNBA thread so I'll put this story here.
Gregg Doyel, supposedly a professional journalist, decided that Caitlin Clark's intro press conference was the perfect time to..........hit on her. And somehow he hasn't been fired yet.

Fucker hit one OVER that monster scoreboard in right. Sweet baby Jebus.
Imagine how far that ball would have gone with one those late 90s juiced bats. Good lord.

Jack Edwards announced that he will retire after the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals
Followed by some kind of announcement about his health, I suspect. He's been very obviously "off" all season.

lol stfu Michael
Good lord, the effort on that play was ridiculous. And to not get the tag......

Detroit needed to win and needed Philly to not lose in regulation. Detroit handled their business with another miracle - tying with 3.3 seconds, killing a penalty in OT, and winning in a shootout. Alas, Philly couldn't handle theirs so Detroit was eliminated.
Detroit threw away the playoffs, bottom line.

Oh please. The Caps are going to choke tonight and not make it to the playoffs.
I'm OK with that.

Rangers clinched the President's Trophy
I am going to be doubly pissed when they lose to the Capitals in the first round
There's still hope for you - they didn't get to 119 points*.
* - no President's Trophy winner with 119+ points has won the Cup.

Michigan staffer and former QB Denard Robinson busted for drunk driving:
He's the second Michigan guy busted for drink driving in the last couple months.

Detroit with a miracle comeback to beat Montreal in OT and stay alive in the playoffs.

I like the Golden Eagles, the former minor league team, we'll see.
With there already being one "Golden" team, I can't see this being the pick.

I've only been once when I was 15/16 and I was bored that there wasn't much to do but sit by the water. Now I'm 42 and cannot wait to go and not do much but sit by the water.
When my wife & I went to Hawaii, one of my best days there was the day I just sat on the beach drinking Coke and reading a book about the 1992 Dream Team.

Fan base seems pissed over this and I can't say I blame them. Pope may well turn out to be the guy, but it doesn’t seem like he was on anyone’s radar earlier in hiring season and it’s quite a turnaround in 24 hrs. UK fans started the day thinking they would probsbly get Scott Drew. At lunchtime, it was rumored UK was offering Dan Harley $100 mil for eight years. Nope. Dinneritme talk was Billy Donovan. Nothing came of that. So they end the day hiring Pope and his 0 NCAA tourney wins and one season in a power conference.
Clearly Kentucky was impressed with his 1-8 record against Gonzaga.

Yeah I have no idea what happened when the calendar flipped from February to March but it's dispiriting after spending most of the season pretty optimistic the Wings were finally moving back upwards.
A decent part of it is Larkin getting injured against Florida on March 2nd and missing 8 games where Detroit went 2-6. But that doesn't explain DeBrincat absolutely disappearing. Or most of the rest of the offense.
-
The Wings continue their slide as their offense has just evaporated. Alex DeBrincat hasn't scored since I was in high school. Every player other than Raymond and Larkin has turned into Val Filppula and is passing the puck instead of shooting. Our waiting for somebody to be available to block before shooting. They also all seem to be allergic to one-timers, preferring instead to stop the puck and give the goalie time to get across.
Brutal.

During last night's game, Wings forward Andrew Copp was high-sticked in full view of at least one ref and linesman with no call. The refs got together and determined there would be no review because there was no injury on the play.
Copp suffered a broken cheekbone on the play.

Connor McDavid did Connor McDavid things last night. 5 assists and just completely dominant. He had an end-to-end rush that ended in a spinorama that led to a goal that was just... wow.
