  1. I liked that little time period where Arn Anderson got wins over Flair and Hogan. It was about 10 years too late, but still.

Didn't he beat Hogan twice? I felt like he beat Hogan by DQ one week and then the women's shoe to the face the next week. Or maybe I'm thinking that Hogan took the women's shoe to the eye in consecutive weeks and lost to Arn and Flair.
He beat Hogan two weeks in a row, I believe.
  2. I know people are getting tired of the "turn the Shield/Wyatts" face fantasy booking, but I get the sense Wyatts are being groomed as HHH's new enforcers, or at a minimum, will be sent after the Rhodes once the Shield loses their rematch.

    Why?
At this point, it is probably just coincidence, but they've just happened to come out after a couple of the fringe guys who have stood up against the Authority (Kofi, now Miz). Given that HHH and Steph were bitching out the Shield even before losing the titles, it would be easy to spin it as HHH has been using them all this time.

  4. Wasn't all the recent talk that Hogan was trying to get back to WWE for WM 30?It'll be a fantastic pay day for everyone involved so I'd think a fair few legends would want in.Can we get a Hogan/Warrior moment? Have 3MB try to 'steal the show' Hogan comes down and gets near the ring, stops and points to the ramp and heeeeeere cooooomes thaaaaa waaaaaaariooor!!!Legends clear the ring, pose down and hand shake.Mania moment created for those there live, we get all nostalgic at home and Hogan and Warrior get their paydays.

Only if the finish to the rumored Bryan-HHH match is Warrior then running down to the ring and squashing HHH for the save to relive another classic WM moment.

  5. My main problem with this whole storyline remains Stephanie.  I think at this point it's clear that IF she gets her's (and that's a massive if), it will come at the hands of a Diva.  But after a couple of months of semi-feuding with AJ, she's all of the sudden doing her favors by tossing her opponents to the wolves?  Her lack of focus is killing me.

Her lack of focus on the Divas is one of the most realistic parts of this angle.

    3. Why was the fiancee screaming behind the closed door even though it appeared that Randy Orton wasn't even in the room when Bryan entered?

    4. How does Shawn Michaels figure into the upcoming match? Has he been established as overwhelmingly favouring Orton over Bryan, or are we just supposed to suspect that he might because HHH is his buddy?

I noticed #3 too.  Bryan bursts through the door, Brie is screaming, Bryan asks "Where is he?!?" and she's all like "Eh, I dunno..."

As for #4, I get the impression we're supposed to be shocked when HBK turns on Bryan, just like we were supposed to be shocked each time Dusty turned on someone to help Cody after lecturing Cody about his evil ways.

  6. On Talking Dead, the new showrunner talked about how this episode was basically setting up where things were now, so you got a sense of how nice things were before it all went bad, pretty much starting at the end.

Hardwick also pointed out how the super nerd coughed into their water supply before dying.

  7.

I never understood why anyone cared about ratings. Do you all own WWE stock? Then that would make sense. I don't own WWE stock. All I do is watch the programming. It's been the best and most exciting stretch of wrestling in years. That's all I care about -- great storylines and action. That's what they're giving us right now.

WCW's demise and TNA's soon-to-be demise (???) are why fans should care at least a bit about ratings.

Monday Nitro was still one of the highest rated cable shows on TV when it was cancelled.  Money Marks > Ratings.

  8. I said this over on PWO, but I could see them doing a holds-based, low impact match between Cena and ADR, have Cena win, have ADR snap and use a chair or something to work over the injury post match, have Sandow cash in, and then have Cena take a few more months. It'd pop a buyrate, set up a revenge feud for Cena for when he's really healed up, get heat on the heels, and be pretty much the best possible transition from Del Rio to Sandow possible.

Sandow can take credit for putting John Cena on the shelf too, which will be fun.

  9. Maybe it was done on purpose but MVP debut match being on a PPV against Marty Garner (Cham Pain) was severly lackluster to the point it took the heel announcer JBL a couple months to stop making fun of him.

    MVP was definitely deliberate.

The best part was how JBL only changed his mind on MVP after he took him out for a fancy dinner.

  10.

I mean, they have to make his return to save Bryan, right? It really almost writes itself and that pop will be glorious.

Wouldn't really make sense to do it that way with the way he was put out (The Wyatts).

Unless the Wyatts are attacking Bryan... which completely goes against my "Wyatts are going to turn face against HHH" theory... so maybe Kane comes back a heel?

  11. Not only that, but the absolutely horrible Brock-Angle Iron Man match on a Smackdown had Brock willing get DQed a few times through the use of a chair, so he could then rack up several quick wins over Angle.

  12. Renee is awesome. She's the new #1 in my diva power poll. Kaitlyn has dropped from the rankings...sadly due to inactivity.

At this point, I expect Kaitlyn to come to AJ's help against the Total Divas.

  13. I need to point out that it was pretty damn low budget of WWE to have RVD show his highlights off a youtube page. That's some bush league shit I expect out of an indy that can't afford an actual highlights package or modern day ROH.

Except it was a gimmick they were pushing throughout the show to hype their YouTube Channel. Your name is appropriate here.
