I didn't pre-order it but I am allowed to download the beta for division 2. I'm all about playing early versions of games I couldn't give a shit about lately.

Well, I'm about to play this apex game.
Two hours later: It's ok. I don't give a shit about these overwatch battle royal games. I lived 22 minutes and was in the final 2 teams hiding in a bush then died as soon as I saw a badguy. Needs a basic deathmatch mode so I actually get a feel for the shooting. I fired zero bullets 'til the last 2 seconds. I didn't immediately uninstall it so it's already drinking Anthem's milkshake. Why anyone would play that over this is mindboggling. Hobbled their own bigass game right before it came out. It was already wounded.
It was nice being in on a gaming event before all the children master the thing within 7 hours.

Played it with ps4 controller. You can actually fly without crashing into the side of a mountain. Still just a shooter where bad guys have shields and take 11 seconds to kill. Also ran out of ammo a lot, but you have unlimited missiles and grenades on cooldown? weird. The enemies seem as bored as I was. Travesal seemed lame. Do I actually need to look around for secrets or are there just going to be laptops sitting around that I hold the B button near? This is going to be like that Fuse game on PS3 that nobody remembers in the future.

Microsoft game pass was $1 for a month so I'm playing a shitload of this forza horizon game. Pretty good. One thing I don't like is the drag racing. Seems lame. The other is the lack of custom mp3 soundtracks in game. Fuck you. Bring that shit back. The music selection is anemic.
I also downloaded gears of war 4. So I'll beat that game in like, two sittings. Then by the end of the subscription I'll be sick of the forza game and then I can cancel.
I think I might try that ea premier thing and play some of that anthem game. I barely played 20 hours of Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 3,4,1...... so a month seems like more than I'll ever use on some of these online bullshit games.
I beat celeste. It was okay.
I beat Deus Ex Mankind Divided (finally) seemed like there should have been more stuff after the last level. I never really understood how the hacking worked even though I did it all the fucking time.
Since October I've mostly been playing my own goddamned Houdini pinball machine in the living room. You can drink beer and play for three hours straight at 3 in the morning.

You've got to go into that one with the mindset of 1997 Sega 3D arcade fighting game. It's on a 2d plane and yer not going to just start whipping out special moves by running through fireball motions. It's a lot of button combos and single direction input.

I was trying to finally get into XTC and they're pretty good, I've only listened up to Mummer BUT these Dukes of the Stratosphear albums kick all leagues of ass. This is as good as when I first got into that Cocteau Twins Victorialand album.

It's a big dragon head that spits out infinite bad guys because you need full super meter to initiate the QTE that does damage and there's no chance you can die. Game took me 6 years over three different PCs to beat.

Dude, I finally got all the wizard goals on Ghostbusters pinball on nintendo. We're Ready to Believe You mode ended up sucking because I was into my second mass hysteria so I couldn't really savor it. It only took me nine months to get 6.3 billion.

The only reason I didn't get all 7 seasons of pinball arcade on switch was because when I added all to cart it wouldn't let me do more than 200 bucks in a single purchase. Then the motherfucker was gone six hours later.

The depths of my depravity was Fire N Ice on NES with the manual for 200 bucks on ebay. The only other nintendo game I bought that was even close was Whomp 'em for 40. Moai Kun was 30. All my other good stuff I either had as a kid or was from before this most recent boom. Like shatterhand for 15, Jackie Chan for 10 and all other sorts of shit that'll make you cry. I only go for the actual good shit and not the dumb rare shit like Swamp Thing.

What is an arm and a leg in this case? I got a bundle with a HyperX Cloud II and Rainbow 6 Siege 3 years ago and it was 70 bucks. I never used the microphone and never installed siege. Pretty much just use it as a headphone set for home recording. The 7.1 stuff seems pointless. Seems to hover around 80-90 now. The aluminum frame means yer really going to have to stomp on it to destroy it.
The best headphones I ever had are koss portapros. But the foam covering one of the ears got ripped and I don't know what I need to order a replacement. I bought them used so I don't have that lifetime warranty. Maybe I should get drunk on the internet and order a new set. Amazing headphones. They just look like old shitty walkman headphones but they ain't.
