As not mentioned lately, I have occasionally been streaming GG 2000 and TR 4 on my twitch account.

I can't get either game to work on my Dreamcast. I've got the Gameshark Lite as a boot disc and neither works. I might just have to make my own boot disc, I guess.

I still have my copy of Giant Gram 2000 but I doubt I can figure out how to play it and be good. I also had the Saturn version way back in the day. I might have to try firing it up with my newly purchased Gameshark and see if I can get GG 2000 to work. You're supposed to be able to play imports with the GS but when I tried Toukon Restuden 4 the other day, it didn't boot up.

VPW 2, released on this day 22 years ago.

I just dug my copy out this week and I'm loving it. I created one guy and a bunch of belts. I've got the TKO championships. First, I made a belt with matches that could only be won by submission or knockout. Then, I created a second version that could only be won by knockout. I've also currently got Scott Norton as my main World champ and I think my CAW guy Abispa and Norton as my tag champs. I couldn't think of what to name my guy so I just thought of that name that came from WCW vs. the World for Liger.

  4. I'm planning on subbing to Peacock for Macgruber, so I figured I'd watch some of the WWE content while I have it. I'm out of the loop but what are the best documentaries they have, specifically with behind the scenes stuff? I saw a preview of the new RA2 season and that looked fun.

  5. I'm going through editing my book for shopping it to the publishers. I had my mentor at my alma mater read through it and it's so amazing to realize that we all live in a bubble as wrestling fans. I'm using some wrestling terminology and she doesn't get what they mean. Plus, she seemed to think that the WON might have been some wrestling scholarly journal that the business has going for it. It's trippy to go through and read her notes and to realize this stuff.

  6. Cultural impact? Like, wrestling culture, or American culture? What does that mean? I'm saying the same thing I say whenever they do a list like this, the Demos should be higher. Jesus, if it's just WWE stuff, Demos should be higher than LOD, IMO. Who the hells makes these?

Anyways, I did a thing today. I spent $400 on 100 issues of the Observer from 1988 and 1989. Did I do a stupid thing? Some guy on Reddit summarizes some of these but I'm hoping there's more in them than that stuff. I'm not sure they'll ever be on the F4W site, or at least not until they get past 2007 or so.

  7. I don't know where else to post this but I've been thinking about collecting Observers, specifically older ones that aren't digital. Does anyone here do that and do you feel it's worth it, in terms of finding shit out for research, etc.? I know sometimes on Reddit they summarize old issues and I'm wondering if those are enough or if there's more cool stuff in them.
