The first was in 1989. The Minnesota Vikings beat the Los Angeles Rams 23-21 when Mike Merriweather blocked Dale Hatcher's punt and the ball rolled out of the end zone.

The second time was in 2004. Alex Brown (Chicago Bears) sacked Billy Volek (Tennessee Titans) in the end zone and knocked the ball loose. Tennessee tackle Fred Miller recovered the ball, but was tackled by Adewale Ogunleye for a safety to give the Bears a 19-17 overtime win over the Titans.

Even worse, Jones had two "runs" in WWE, first as a heel and then later as a face, totally ignoring the first run.  And apart from the totally botched spin kick, I can't remember a single thing Jones did.  He did, however, have a shockingly good match against Scott Steiner on one of those WWA PPV's.

All I remember is being told he lost his shit and ripped the door off his jail cell once. Other than that he could just as well be Mark Jindrak.

    Wasn't he Undertaker's 'protege' for a while?

Brandon Meriweather responded rather directly when asked about Brandon Marshall's comments he should be kicked out of the league.

"He feel like I need to be kicked out of the league? I feel like people who beat their girlfriends should be kicked out, too. You tell me who you’d rather have: Somebody who play aggressive on the field, or somebody who beat up their girlfriend?"

That case against Marshall was dismissed last September and Marshall was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Meriweather on tackling: “To be honest, man, you’ve just got to go low now, man. You’ve got to end people’s careers, you know? You’ve got to tear people’s ACLs and mess up people’s knees now. You can’t hit them high no more. You’ve just got to go low.

  4. JR said on his blog the other day

Heading to New York City in a few days to begin some potentially viable meetings that could impact what I will be doing in 2014 at least to some degree.

I'm excited to be meeting new people with fresh ideas who genuinely want to work with me in a relationship based on honesty, respect and professionalism

    Let the speculation begin

Previous reports on the upcoming Superman vs. Batman film have placed its production start as being early 2014 with the majority of shooting set to take place in Michigan, but apparently Zack Snyder is getting a headstart on filming this weekend. According to East Los Angeles College Campus News (via Latino Review) the production will be filming a few takes during halftime of their home football game this Saturday. It is reported that as ELAC goes into the locker room during their game, their stadium will turn into the Gotham City University home stadium for a game against their rival Metropolis State University. The site reports that "the first 2,000 people who sit in the filming area of the stadium will receive T-shirts designed by Snyder for those participating in the filming." Filming will be quick though, as production will be shooting just three takes of three plays and "capturing the actors and crowd’s reactions."
