Was the Savage/Tito the only time a ref wore khakis in the WWF/E? Danny Davis looks so....odd.I

He's not wearing the bowtie, either.

Danny was always a little different.  I just got a bunch of WWF 1983 TV shows and Danny is reffing in a black sweatsuit in all the TV matches

  2. I love Nashville.  Been there twice.  Have only hung around the main drag but it seems everything is there on Broadway.  The hockey rink, the football field, loads of bars, and they are not all honky tonks and places to stuff your face.  Maybe avoid Jack's BBQ though.  It wasnt all that great and I had heartburn driving through the rest of Tennessee and two other states

  3. The Argos have signed a lease with the Rogers Centre until 2017 except the lease can be terminated by either side at any time.  David Braley says he wants to sell both the Argos and Lions in the next 3 years and supposedly MLSE is kicking the tires and looking into the cost to expand BMO Field.  The Blue Jays are supposedly looking to the end of the 2015 baseball season to bust up the floor of the Dome and put natural grass in there.  Now you can almost see a timeline of what is going to happen here but since it is Toronto you know none of these things are going to happen.  Other than grass in the Dome.

Cant IR a guy that is going on suspension

    You can.

Teams are eligible to receive cap relief when a player is considered to have a "bona-fide long-term injury" — injuries that cause a player to miss at least 10 games or 24 days. In such cases, the team can place the player on long-term injured reserve (LTIR).

    #boom

In the old CBA you could pull that one.  In the new CBA if a player say David Clarkson sustains an injury and will miss 20 games the 10 game suspension he is serving will still count against the cap.  Then you could put him on LTIR.  #doubleboom.  And I am not talking out my ass since this very scenario was brought up on the radio today many times.

  5. So Clarkson is only suspended 10 regular season games & can still play 3 pre-season games this week including tonight. I wonder what happens if he gets "injured" tonight and the Leafs are "forced" to put him on the IR which in turn would free up much needed cap space...

  6. It's forgotten by history what a BMF Ruddock was leading into the two fights with Tyson, but he was never the same after that (it happens) and then Lewis polished off his career a year later.

Dont know if he was a BMF.  All he had done up till that point was dust off a couple of worn out guys.  Michael Dokes left whatever fight he had left in the ring against Holyfield.

  7. Also, Tyson's camp was laughable in that fight, and he came in there out of shape himself.

All of Tyson's camps post Spinks and a few before that were laughable.  Buster for one night proved that anything could happen. I watched Buster fight Tony Tucker and he buckled like a belt and all but quit that night.

  8. Mayweather is the only fighter I can think of that has never had an opponent who was considered worthy of being mentioned as a rival.  He beats everyone so soundly that there isn't even a question about whether or not there will be a rematch.  He just straight clowns on these fools and moves on with his life.  No rematches, no rubber matches, just solemn lefts and sanctified rights.

Mayweather is out of luck in this era that he doesnt have a guy like Tommy Hearns to challenge him or a Duran.  You can only beat the guys they put in front of you and Floyd can still beat them with his eyes closed in fact I cant even think of a guy that can take Floyd down unless he decides to take on someone way too big for him but you wish you could see Floyd try and solve the puzzle that was Hearns being freakishly tall with incredible power or a Ray Leonard with that speed.  Floyd would have Duran quitting by round 10 or so.

  9. Just heard, myself.  I always wonder where he would've ended up if not for his illness.  I thought he showed flashes of being really good.

He would have wound up as a stepping stone.  Exciting guy to watch at times but that chin was far from world class.  Nevertheless he made an incredible amount of money in his career

  10. With the Jays being the Jays, I'm glad my home away from home (Pittsburgh) is smack dab in the middle of an amazing race. Next week's 5 game series against the Cards is gonna be HUGE. And I'm going to my first doubleheader on Tuesday...should be fun.I

Pisses you off that even if the starting pitching was middle of the pack they would be right in the mix. Who'd have thought the Esmil Rogers trade would be ten times better than the Dickey and Marlins deals
