Mogilny belongs.  Pierre Turgeon too.  He was a LOT better than Mike Modano, who's already in, to name just one.  Not sure how I feel about Barasso and Vernon.  Fine, put them in, but Chris Osgood should already have been in.  3 Cups, 400+ wins, a Jennings trophy, career 2.09 GAA in the playoffs...

Pierre Turgeon didn't get in for a long time.  A lot of people pointed to the fact that he was the one guy that didn't leave the bench during the 1987 bench clearing brawl with the Soviet Union during the World Juniors as a reason since he broke the "hockey code".  I don't know about that but I have heard stupider things

It’s all funny money, but it’s stuff like this makes it ridiculous to think that the Senators are worth anything

Funny how people will find other things to watch when the games aren't remotely competitive. Most watched game of the playoffs was Florida Boston Game 7. Very few needle moving teams out there. Typical Facebook comments are Gary loves having Las Vegas in the final when really the league would rather one of Boston Chicago or the Rangers.

But yeah the Senators are a meh franchise. Like the NJ Devils of Canada without the success. The move downtown when it happens should be a plus

There are dozens of theories and speculations on twitter (ranging from "mad Josh Allen has a new girlfriend" to "mad the Bills were considering signing Hopkins"), I'm sure one of them is true but probably only a really small number of people know what is eating at Diggs. But hopefully they are getting it sorted out. If the end result means Dorsey getting more creative with his playcalling, I won't complain.

Or Diggs has forced a trade in the past when he had a point to make. Maybe Diggs isn't seeing a way for Buffalo to get over KC and is angling for a new situation. He needs to be careful if that's his play because he may find himself in a worse situation. Probably he just wasn't feeling like doing mini camp right now

It's a number that is completely meaningless in our end stage capitalism world where money has spiralled totally out of control, but when the Sens joined the NHL the expansion fee they paid in 1990 was $50 million lol

I don't understand how the least valuable franchise in Canada is worth nearly a billion but hey it only takes one idiot with more money than sense, I suppose.

This is what happens when you have multiple suitors for a team.  When no one wanted the Senators and it looked like they were moving Melnyk got the team and the building for 130 million CANADIAN dollars. Now these new modern billionaires want to own sports franchises and get celebrities involved so they can hang out with them. At least Andlauer seems like a hockey nut and will calm people down about the team moving.  Although I would prefer the Senators being in Quebec City

Yeah, the Maverick Center is great, but its not a major league arena, they'll have to play with the Jazz or have their own place.

They were talking a new big building if SLC gets the Winter Olympics again but then you wait a day or two and viola Stan Kronke is supposedly getting a new building put up in San Diego so who knows

Gary Bettman continues his quixotic quest to keep the Coyotes in Arizona in his State of the Union Address.

That's just talk now since no one likes talking about franchise instability during the finals. Best case scenario for the Coyotes would be for the NHL to talk the new Suns owner into buying them and then leaning on the state for a new building but I don't think they can even put ice in the Suns arena anymore so that's a dead issue. Now Salt Lake City is out there and they may scoop them up since they are talking new building and the Jazz owner says he's already working on it. Most likely the Rockets owner buys them for cheap and moves them to Houston

  7. I only felt Loma was fading due to him taking rounds off. And fighting in small spurts but I should give him the benefit of the doubt since he had the bum shoulder against Teo. Haney really needed to make a statement last night. He is very good since most Lightweights would have lost last night but from the eye test he is behind Shakur and Tank to me. Haney is off to 140 now. Wonder how long Loma sticks around

Raps fired Nurse, who was supposedly going to the Rockets, with Udoka supposedly going to the Raps.

    Rockets sign Udoka.

So what happens to Nurse and what happens to the Raps?

Crazy times. I thought Masai had Udoka locked down.

People listen and take rumours seriously too often. Ujiri and Udoka know each other and Nurse was on the hotseat so someone wrote some clickbait. People in the know say bringing in Udoka probably wouldn't have been approved by the ownership board. Jerry Stackhouse is the guy a lot of people are wanting to come in

Lamar has looked slightly worse every year since his MVP year and ended the last two years injured. I wouldn't want to give him a six year fully guaranteed contract for $50 mil+ a year either. (yes I made up that contract number but from various leaks I wouldn't be surprised if that ballpark what he wanted). The offense wasn't functional because they never invested in a real backup, we can assume if Lamar is gone they won't roll with Huntley (probably).

Either a team is going to go crazy with a contract and the Ravens get two first round draft picks they can use to trade up and get any QB they want for much cheaper, or they get Lamar for another year at $32 mil and he gets a chance to show off. Feels like a win-win, if Lamar is right he'll get his money, if the Ravens are right they'll play it back for another year.

Basically.  Lamar is getting to the point of his career where he is going to have to rely more on his arm than his legs and he hasn't shown elite level passing yet.  Hopefully Lamar and his people come down a bit in their demands and work something out because Baltimore is the ideal situation for him and they are going to find it is a very soft market for his services out there if a team has to dedicate in the neighbourhood of 20% of their cap for him.  Fully guaranteed. And cough up 2 first rounders. If he wants to play chicken he may wind up finding himself on a one year deal and getting hurt again this year then winding up signing a short term deal for even less money on a team like the Jets or Raiders and being turned into a human tackling dummy

Is it likely the only reason? Probably not.

Is it likely a contributing factor? Yes.

Or he can be like LeSean McCoy said. Not a guy that has a HC personality or even a guy that does what other OCs do. People want to talk about elephants in the room. Andy Reid is quite the elephant and Bienemy needs to prove that he isn't just the guy that radios in the plays Andy Reid calls. During Offence meetings in KC Bienemy runs the projector and Andy Reid comes up with the game plan. And that's from a guy that has sat in the room. Don't think that isn't a well known fact around the league. Not a shock multiple teams wanted DeMeco Ryans but are lukewarm about Eric Bienemy

That's why I feel zero sympathy for the Bengals or their fans, they went from fun underdog to cocky and annoying this year with how they reacted to the scheduling changes and then how they acted after the Bills game. Then the whole "Burrowhead" nonsense, they just were awfully full of themselves for a team with zero SB wins. I don't love KC either but it just felt like the right result this year.

Still hurt your team got trounced by Cincy eh
