Other thing I didn't really like. The "I don't know if the bell rang, I don't think he cashed" line from Cole, and obvious Braun keeping his briefcase aspect to it all.
Makes the Shield look like idiots for not waiting another 30 seconds for the bell to ring. Also, I think it adds a great layer of heat if the Shield have screwed him out of the briefcase, and necessitating a chase to get his rightful shot at Roman.
Instead, with the way Braun's been booked, he's going to look weak if he doesn't dispose of Ambrose and Rollins and gets his fair shot at Roman in under a month. -
Think it could be a cool little storyline for Roman to keep to his word and constantly be defending the title, just with the Shield either at ringside or running interference. Also with the Heyman segment earlier, going to set up a monster pop when Lesnar returns and takes them out at some point.

In ring was fine. The story telling was terrible and where they're going doesn't exactly fill me with hope.
Why have Ricochet go over Cole? Does he need the title? Has Cole defended the title at all? Where to now for Ricochet? Is he a guy that can be the defending champ half as good as the guy chasing it? Why build up the NUMBERS GAME and have it be a non factor?
Tag title match was poorly laid out. Lot of dangerous sloppiness for little payoff with a confusing story about the tag ropes and throwing in the towel that had continuity as an adversary. The team the audience are less familiar with got jobbed out on two separate PPVs and their big finish kicked out of to a makeshift team. Hopefully the War Raiders works out.
Didn't really get the Dream EC3 stuff and really smacked of a hamfisted we need these guys on the show attempt.
Why build up Baszler as such a dominant champ if not to either eventually turn on Rousey or see Asuka return? They've barely used Sain in any significant way. This seems odd and distracting in the context of the next MYC. Title change and the numerous finisher knockouts didn't need to happen.
Hand was forced re the main event but took pretty much all goodwill from anyone invested in the feud with a third match that didn't further the story, or make us see either guy in any new light. Cookie cutter match that deviated little from their first few. Felt like the third mankind rock PPV match in those respects. The story isnt done but they need to find a better way to further it than in the ring.
I'd love a Gladiator style storyline of Gargano being shipped off to RAW. Finding Angle a sympathetic ear but ultimately answerable to Corbin and Steph who insist he jump through hoops to get his one last crack at redemption.
Beyond that it's a rare opportunity for the main roster to outdo the NXT PPV

Genuine possibility that network TV goes the way of wireless radio in the next 5 years - and even if there's not the same fuck money on offer in 2024, if anything it probably increases value in the Network, given that's probably the next port of call for WWE programming, so whilst some income is lost, they're still far more insulated than most entertainment avenues (NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC the probable exceptions).

I'm curious as to what people think are still plausible catalysts that see the WWE no longer the biggest promotion in the world in the near future?
Vince dying/going off doing his thing with the XFL isn't going to cause any effect, as his money and company money seem completely separate. Although shit, I'd be really intrigued by a McMahon civil war, that sees Vince pushed out by Steph/HHH and starting his own company (or just being the head of a promotion funded by....Ebersol or a network or something), just for seeing which of the rusted on stay where they are or go with Vince out of loyalty. Imagine if it was Trump's next big gig post-Presidency?
Another promotion started by...Amazon/Google/Facebook/Netflix/whoever would be interesting - whether there's the current free agents there to make it work is questionable, but the exposure those platforms have certainly give it weight.
Legislative changes I feel like they could survive. If their contractor definition no longer holds weight, I feel like they'd survive the financial ramifications (although the possibility of them being too smart for their own good, and allowing their contractors to work the occasional PROGRESS or ROH show remains). Even a concussion class action lawsuit probably doesn't threaten their bottom line enough, but does it make their product completely unviable if most bumps are now considered CTE risks, or a need to wear protective gear takes away the polish from the product?
Unionizing? If anything, I feel like with a greater need to represent minorities greater, and better care of employees, you see more people stick around. Winning an Emmy could have interesting ramifications with SAG membership I guess?
Could they ever do an angle so tasteless or insensitive that gets them kicked off TV Roseanne Barr style? Unlikely. FOX would be there for the long haul no matter what.
Steroid trial mkIII? Even if they jailed a bunch of guys for conspiracy, trafficking, whatever - there'd still be enough to push on?
Going to war with UFC? Seems unlikely, and about an even money chance the WWE win that anyway.-

She's not really an actor. Just one of those famous for being famous types. Girlfriend of one of the Veronicas. Subsequently became a DJ who couldn't DJ. A comedian who wasn't funny. A boxer who couldn't box. A TV host that wasn't good at hosting. Probably missing a whole heap of shit in between but she's just not very good at much.

I forgot that weird aborted heel run of Steamboat where he sided with R-Truth as random authority figure for about 2 weeks without really doing anything especially heelish, before disappearing all together.

I'll pretty much watch anything Taika Waititi, and this has some really funny quotables, but this isn't anything new, and encroaches self-parody territory. 6/10.

Spy Who Dumped Me was trash.
Some surprisingly good action scenes in it. Kate McKinnon's Robin Williams tribute tangents are tiresome. Great on SNL where there's character scope. Improv theatre troupe otherwise.
