No, that picture was taken from a very early stage of the original Nexus (you can tell because Tarver is there.) Young and Shefield got clipped out of the pic for some reason.

I'm guessing around the time Skip broke his leg, and Darren got fired from Nexus for not beating Cena.

  2. I'll +1 the idea that a stable are guys that are managed by the same manager, but have no interaction beyond that (Heenan Family would team up at Survivor Series, and maybe the Patera beatdown, but beyond that, minimal, and you could probably argue Jimmy Hart's guys were probably a better example of this), whilst a faction are guys that actively team together, accompany each other to ringside, promo together etc.

  3. Luger is a pretty good example of the difference between the promotions at the time.

The WWF were incapable of making you care about a particular guy and their motives, as they simply refused to have anyone remotely interesting - they were either really good or really bad, nothing in between, straight forward motivations that Donny Dumbfuck could get.

WCW were really good at adding that extra bit of character, nuances and shades of grey that made you really think about things, which probably at times was counterproductive to their audience. What they weren't good at doing was pulling the trigger on guys who got hot from that, and making them *the* guy, whereas once Vince decided on a guy, this was the course of action, for better or worse. If you didn't like a guy, it wasn't because of wins and losses.

There was absolutely nothing interesting about Lex Luger from 93-95. Stars and stripes waving babyface. Exclusively that. Overnight, he became the most complex character in professional wrestling.

  4. Forget Harper and Bray, Lashley and Finn coming out would have worked just as well, and in theory, gives them 6 guys people care about. Instead Lashley worked a squash against the Ascension, and Finn was made to look like a chump against Corbin.

Instead we have heel Strowman, largely to protect how well Rollins is going as a face presumably?
