  1. During the era when he was regularly working Masters, Christian, and Hardy, McIntyre was one of the best workers on Earth.

Consider the high praise those three get from that era, though.

Drew McIntyre was one of the best workers on earth? eh? Besides that overrated Chris Masters match what else did he do?

Well, to be fair, he didn't specify the number. He could've been, say, one of the best five hundred workers on earth.

  2. I was just watching the WWE network Ultimate Legend thing and a thought struck me... where was Warrior running from? Like, you knew Goldberg was in his room getting psyched and then they'd go and knock for him, but Warrior just appeared from nowhere running to the ring.

I like to think he sprinted from town to town, only making it just in time for his match

He was running from Parts Unknown, obviously.

  3. I don't have a problem with that spot, either. It's contrived, but it fits in the paradigm of professional wrestling better than the ones we usually rag on. If the tombstonee had, say, rolled through (despite there being no forward momentum) into a tombstone of his own, that would bother me; but in this situation, since the guys being hurt act like they're being hurt, I'm cool with it. It's no more contrived than a good Jackie Chan spot, really.

  4.

Samoa Joe may have held all of TNA's titles but it is things like losing to Angle in their first match, losing to Angle via chair shot at Hard Justice 2007 killing his momentum, losing to old man Sting at Bound for Glory 2008 without even getting a rematch, promising to take out the MEM at Slammiversary 2009 but then joining them, getting kidnapped by ninjas, getting choked out by Jeff Jarrett and getting in trouble for the "phantom of the impact zone" line. Repeated stupid junk that barely is a toe in the water in the steaming pile of what could have been that is TNA.

Okay, that sounds amazing and not at all like a missed opportunity. Can someone explain the context of this? Samoa Joe has been kidnapped by ninjas! Are you a bad enough dude to rescue Samoa Joe?

The angle could have been saved had they sent the Bad Dudes to rescue him.

    Or the Dynamic Dudes.

  5. Didn't WCW use a lot of public domain and cheap stock production music?

A lot of it was production music and Jimmy Hart tracks that had been liberally "influenced" by others. The Benoit theme is similar to a Machines of Loving Grace song, Booker T's was essentially a funkified version of a Kraftwerk song, Saturn ripped off "The Beautiful People", DDP's was "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Raven was "Come As You Are", Chris Jericho was "Even Flow", and so on.

Of course, WWE's not exempt from this, either. I know that Too Cool's theme has turned up lots of places.

  6. Can Mark Jindrak slap in the rear naked choke and make crazy faces? If yes, we might be in a similar situation regarding Evolution. I think Orton would have made it one or another, he has the look and the name.

Jindrak would have been in place of Batista, not Orton.

I don't think he'd have had the success Batista had, but I'm not familiar with his post-WWE work.
