Re: IC Title
Is it just me, or does this feel like an angle WCW would've run in 2000?
The title would have been vacated at least once.
-
I hope that's the real Rey Misterio, not Rey Jr, and the people who go will get the same disappointment they would if they'd rented WrestleManiac.
-
Wasn't the last Mark Henry return just him putting someone else over and vanishing again?
I think it was Brock, wasn't it? So there's at least some parallels there.
-
I'd wager even money that Rollins cashes in against Reigns -- and fails.
-
I thought the gist of Sting's video was "WCW died because of people like the Authority and I don't want that to happen again", not "WCW died because of Triple H and I want vengeance."
But I didn't see it, I'm just going by the PWInsider recap.

I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who loved Terminator Cena beating the shit out of Rusev and I thought it was cool too and a nice change of pace for his character but I do have a couple issues with this. Rusev is losing at WrestleMania. We all know he is losing. Why the hell would you have him look so damn weak a couple weeks prior?
Also.. Roman Reigns. His role tonight was random guy thrown into a match with Rollins that served to further the feud with Orton. Huh? It's 3 weeks away from WM. Why is he not interacting with Lesnar?
I don't get it.
Keeping him away from Lesnar and Heyman is probably for the best, since:
a) Heyman is lightyears beyond him on the mic;
b) Lesnar is lightyears beyond him in terms of "it" factor.
Any lustre that's left with this match-up needs to be conserved as much as possible. I'd say I'd be surprised if it went on last at Wrestlemania, but there's nothing that would be any better.

Two things I just learned in reading the IC Title page on Wikipedia:
1) Big E held the title for almost half a year.
2) Dolph Ziggler won the title three times in the span of four months
That second one is some millenial-WCW level title changing.
-
Brock Lesnar has been booked too strong. They've cut the legs off the rest of the roster and, outside of Cena and the other part-timers, don't have anyone they can realistically put in a match against him. For that alone, I can't vote for him.

Bill DeMott worked as an agent at last nights NXT show in Columbus. Looks like he is still around. Also the show was taped for the 3/18 episode of NXT.
Just to clarify, he worked last night at NXT, and resigned today.

Also, does anyone really defect now? Did Yo-Yo's Roomie defect to America from England? Because I thought he just emigrated there.
North/South Koreans defect.
Not sure how Gail Kim fits in.

What is the hip-hop equivalent of Creed in the '90s? Puff Daddy and the Family? I'm trying to give this argument some personal context.
Mase has already been mentioned, so I'll say "I'll Be Missing You" is probably the single track that is most Creed-like.
The "My Sacrifice" WWE video was pretty good at the time, but I daren't go back and watch it now.
I'm a thirty-something from Ottawa, though, so I had to like Tom Green since he started on our cable access channel.

* They haven't said which bit of Russia Rusev is supposed to be from. Bulgaria is in Europe... if the inevitable face turn has him going against Lana, that would explain why they haven't done anything about that 'Map of Bulgaria with Bulgarian Flag colours and the word Bulgaria across the middle' tattoo. You'd think they'd make some attempt to cover it up or at least not shoot it in close up. Unless they're assuming their audience knows nothing about Geography.
This is the same company that bills Kofi Kingston from "Ghana, West Africa."
And Gail Kim was "from Korea."

I've always thought Samosa Joe would be a great indy gimmick.

Harry Smith had some really good matches at the 2013 G1, but they might have been overlooked because of how solid that tournament was as a whole.
Pretty awesome about Rollins at the Daily Show, by the way. Good for him.
Good to see him get some exposure.

Wait, when was THE Brian Kendrick in NXT?
-
Burke got a raw deal in WWE too. He's on my shortlist of guys who Shoulda been a much bigger deal than they ended up being.
Agreed on this. Who else makes the list? I got him, Marcus Cor Von and Brian Kendrick for starters.
A motivated Kennedy/Anderson, if he hadn't burned his bridges, would have had a title run by now.
R-Truth.

anyway, Vince actually responded to the hashtag on Twitter. "We hear you. Keep watching. #GiveDivasAChance"
Keep watching. We won't change anything, but keep watching anyway.

I've met Colt, years ago, he was a cool guy, he's definitely not in the Mick Foley/Punk bracket of treating his fans like shit. The only thing that annoys me about him is how he comes across as this sympathetic figure because he didn't get a fair crack of the whip when he was Scotty Goldman, you can't listen to one podcast of his without it being brought up, the dudes a millionaire, he's probably done more for himself being out of that company than he ever could have in it.
Whaaaaaaaaaaat?
This is surprising. I don't think I've ever head a negative Mick Foley story.
Also...
I can see Punk's side. "CM Punk" is a stage name in the same way that "Charlie Sheen" is a stage name for Carlos Estevez. Would you walk up to Charlie Sheen and call him Carlos? Stage names aren't exactly unique to pro wrestling.
I wouldn't even call him Charlie. He's Mr. Sheen until you know him well enough to call him by his first name.
Same goes for anyone I don't know. It's called being polite.

You know, a Rowan/Sheamus tag team isn't a bad idea.
-
If the post-WM cuts were still an annual thing, Rowan would have to be up at the top of the list by now.
-
Four of the matches end with roll-ups?
-
It looks like most of the "World" team in the "TNA vs the World" special is just TNA wrestlers not from the US, like Sanada and Angelina Love.
Of course, by the time it airs, they may not be in TNA anymore, which would make the title more accurate again.
-
Pretty sure he was supposed to do a Majistral (I've seen him do it before) and just decided "fuck it."
-
NXT Cleveland has already sold out, too. The WWE must be over the moon.
