  1. Just got home from watching it at a buddy's house. I was tapped out a while ago. They got the most important stuff right (Kofi, Becky) and the rest of it I wasn't all that invested in. Overall, here's my take:

    Four hours, one show, indoors.

Until then, I'm cherry picking. I just can't hang anymore.

Well, New Japan has a worthless trios title, as does ROH, so I think it's time WWE introduce their worthless trios title. First champions, the Lone Rangers: Heath Slater, Eric Bugenhagen, and Rhyno.

There's three of them. They're not exactly lone.

Is that good? I'm not up with the hep jive the kids are using these days.

No. A punisher is someone who severely annoys you or makes you socially uncomfortable to the point of physical agony. It can be done in a number of ways, such as close talking, talking too fucking much, using the term "amazeballs," excessive use of ironic/big humor, etc. In Bugenhagen's case, it's all secondhand embarrassment.

For what it's worth, dude has NOTHING on Jessie Elaban. She needs a goddamn volume knob.

  4. It's hard for me to not come out swinging when I see shit like this. I won't go into details, but it hits close to home.

As for his actions, sorry. I get it and I understand why people do this kind of shit, but I can't call it any other way and I sure as hell ain't gonna empathize with that dude.

This'll be the last I say about it.

  5. I've been in therapy on and off throughout my entire life. My dad has been over the last couple years. Its done wonders for me and I still have a lot of work to do on myself. My therapist RULES, but there's only so much she can do if I'm not willing to not bullshit myself.

What I see out of a lot of men in my life is a complete inability to take responsibility for their actions when it comes to shit like this. It's usually coupled with the inability to look at oneself and say "Damn. I'm an asshole."

I don't know the guy, obviously, and I don't doubt that he does struggle with depression and substance abuse. But, reading his texts, he comes off really damn manipulative. That is straight up trash behavior, and speaking from experience, it is really damn hard to get men to cop to that shit and cop to it without trying to make people feel sorry for them and do anything to change.

Do I think he can change? It's entirely possible. But I got zero sympathy for the dude.

    Jesus, Corey. Get help. Please.

Maybe. If you ask me, it just might be a case of dude that looks like a total fuckboy is a total fuckboy.

That reads really flippant considering that there's kids involved and there's some diabolical mindfuck shit going on, but hey, my dad did some of the same shit. He's 65 and still on some codependent bullshit. It's how a lot of men are, and no amount of therapy can fix it.

  7. 1. RDR 2. It's gorgeous. It hasn't quite grabbed me the way the first one did, but I'm only on Chapter 2. I'm already excited about all the hunting stuff, but man, do I hate walking up on a deer I just shot.

    2. Skater XL. It's in Early Access on Steam. I've been waiting for this since Skate 3. It has a long way to go, but the board physics are already better than the Skate series from what I can see. My backlog is the Spider-Man DLC and maybe NG+. I got Divinity: Original Sin 2 for Xmas and Dark Souls 3 waiting for me. That's a dense batch of gaming right there and I honestly doubt I'll get through all of it.

  8. I am ever the optimist when it comes to the Pistons, but you hit the nail on the head.

They've shown that they can hang with the best teams in the league this season, but they also get shook by injuries and there's been nights where Blake is having to put the entire team on his back just to even be competitive. They're laced with some awful contracts, have made some terrible decisions in the draft, and goddamn, do I want Reggie Jackson gone.

  9. Yup, that was Dakota's best showing. Great selling and fire.

That SAMCRO vs Mendoza/Carillo match was pretty damn nifty, too. The Sons found themselves some mean as hell offense, and Mendoza continues to steal the show whenever he gets in the ring. Dude straight up rules. Between Lorcan and Burch, Street Profits and Heavy Machinery,  there's been three face teams ready to get heated up and take down UE for the tag straps and have the crowd lose their shit. Mendoza and Carillo are gonna get themselves to that level sooner than ya think.

LOVED that quick pan over to Mauro during Ciampa's promo. Bad things are afoot at the announce booth.

    Awesome episode.

  10. Just watched Ronda vs Charlotte. God DAMN. That was RINGS meets JCP. That match had damn near no build, but was a hate-filled, violent fight for no damn reason except to see who the fuck is the goddamn best, then Charlotte SNAPPED. Way I see it, they just showed Gargano, Black and Ciampa how it's really done.

Round 2 is gonna be a motherfucker.

  11. Bartended one of those Hair Nation tours tonight. Enuff Z'Nuff, Bulletboys, and Jack Russell's Great White.

    WOOF.

Not that I expected it to be good. I expected to be a little embarrassing, honestly, but at least entertaining on the people watching front.

However, Chip Z'Nuff was a close talking, overly touchy, creepy punisher, dressed up like a no-budget Jervis Tetch.

Jack Russell looks really, really bad. Considering how bad off he was, I guess it's good that he's walking on his own power and actually pulled the whole show off, but damn. So rough. His band looks like he found them all at various Guitar Centers.

The soundguy brought the goods between bands, though. And I made decent money for an easy night.
