KC2 vs. Io/KLR was so damn good, probably the best match KC2 have had. I knew they weren't going to win, but they had me fooled for just a second with that crazy reverse frankensteiner double team. Easily the best match in the tournament. Kind of sad KC2 aren't hitting the finals though Io/KLT vs. Wendy/Dakota should be good.

KC2 looked great in defeat and I agree that it was definitely one of their best matches. And that reverse Frankensteiner? Lawd! I thought KLR was legit done lol

Man, that main event was a clusterfuck.  But it was fun.  KASEY AND KADEN!  MY DREAM MATCH!  KASEY! KADEN! KAY LEE!  Io looked great.  That was the best La Majistral I've ever seen.  Great moonsault.  Great!

I was rooting hardcore for KC2 but I knew they were done since they wouldn't do two interference angles in the same round and Io and Kay Lee are just too strong.

  3. Sad that my girls, Kayden and Kacey, didn't advance to the finals but Jesus did Kay Lee Ray die for our sins. That was insane and scary as Hell.

The Indi/Persia Implosion happened right on time but it's funny that Persia was basically speaking truth. She did carry the team while Indi was obsessed with being Mrs. Loomis. lol

One thing about the NXT 2.0, they are at least trying to utilize everyone. Even Lash and Nikita got to further their little feud.

Britt & especially Rosa are not capable of doing what they try to do every time. Rosa got into the game late in her career & was dogshit. Ask anyone who went to those LU tapings. She deserves all the credit in the world for turning herself into a passable wrestler but that's her level. She's passable. That is her bar. But then she goes out there trying to do an athletic match that is way beyond her abilities & we see the same results every time. Britt is no help. You remember the reaction Britt/Tay got on the last PPV? That would have been the reaction here if not for the fact Thunder is over & people are afraid to boo her or she'll pull out the same card she did at Warrior Wrestling when she had an absolute stinker & the crowd let her know.

A lot of the AEW women are at a perfectly acceptable level where they can go and get by doing 6-8 minutes... maybe 10-12 at most for certain people. Nothing wrong with that. But every time it's always the same. They want to do their "epic" match & prove everyone wrong. Every time, they fail. The only time they succeeded was the smoke & mirrors match that was taped which allowed for editing.

The AEW women's division can be successful if it accepts what it is. Eventually more (better) women will hopefully come along & maybe then it can evolve. The AEW women's division will never be successful if it stays the way it is now with most of the women trying to prove themselves to be what they're not every time out & getting rewarded for every mediocore match by Twitter comments saying "yaaaaaas queens best match of all time" from accounts that troll AEW daily about having more women's matches.

An off night between Rosa and Britt is not enough to indict an entire division that has regularly been a show highlight for months for many.

  5. Good stuff from Chelsea and Tasha and Madison and Cassie. I'm enjoying these two storylines and look forward to Tasha's rematch as well as a proper IInspiration/Influence tag title match. I kinda miss the wacky dynamic with Jai with an I though.

And I agree. It's time to end the squashes and get Masha into a proper program.

Oh yes. And I also enjoyed the tease of Deonna/Giselle. The Knockouts are on fire.

  6. Lash Legend certainly looks formidable. If she is able to put the pieces together, she could be a problem. Kinda interested in her Vs Lyons.

I like Amari Miller and Wendy Choo. As stated before, I have no idea how or if Wendy would ever translate on the main roster. But I dig her here.

Cora/Raquel Vs Yulisa/Valentina was a bit of a chaotic mess but I still dug it.

Charlotte and Naomi were ready to do this 5 years ago when they were both on Smackdown and little came out of it because, reasons(?). I always suspected Vince just had a general distrust of damn near anyone who came up during the Diva era at that point sans Nattie and maybe Nikki Bella.

This reminds me that I believe Naomi is the last of the "non-wrestler background" women that came up under the old Diva system. Wonder what her trajectory would have been if she had come up in NXT like Alexa or Dana Brooke.

We suffered through years and years of awful AWFUL Alexa Bliss matches while people claimed Naomi wasn't good enough and again she proved everyone wrong. I can't stand Vince or Bruce.

As much as this Sonya storyline has seemed to go on forever, it has really revitalized Naomi and cemented her as a top baby face on Smackdown. If I had faith in this company, I would think this would lead to another run for her.

  9. Naomi/Charlotte was really good. Despite the outcome being a foregone conclusion (I mean, they are committed to Charlotte/Ronda at Mania after all), I was still drawn in. Definitely one of the best solo matches that Naomi has had. As hard as she is on herself and how hard she works, I know she had to be super proud.

Nattie/Aliyah was short but good stuff as well.

  10. For years, the women's division has been a highlight for me in NXT. And while the women there now are perfectly fine (even the newer ones are decent enough although you can definitely see them feeling things out) and the matches are good, nothing is really exciting me. I can't explain it.

  11. I'm also in the camp that enjoyed the women's Rumble this year despite the predictable winner. Great seeing people like The Bellas, RTC Ivory, Alicia Fox, etc. Melina's moment, while short, was still touching because you could see the obvious emotions. Mickie looked exactly like a star. Sonya taking out Cameron and then ruining Naomi's moment was great. And an awesome moment for the Riott Squad, Summer and Nattie giving us the Total Divas slap fest tribute, newly supervillain Nikki taking out Molly, and Brie finally getting one over on her sister. Just a lot of really cool moments. I have no issues with a Ronda win as she honestly was really good during her last run and there is a lot that could be done with her.

It would be cool if some of this stuff carried over like Nikki/Molly or Ivory as cult leader (because of course). But I'm sure it's all one and done.

I really enjoyed Doudrop Vs Becky too. So glad to see Doudrop get to be a little more Viper/Piper

  12. Decent outing from Naomi and Sonya. Despite feeling like this was the feud that would not end, the crowd was really into it and rallying behind Naomi. I thought Sonya would screw Naomi by making her number 1 in the Rumble but didn't figure that she would just add herself to the match.

    Great to see Sasha back!

  13. Enjoyed the state of the Knockouts address. I'm ready for Tasha/Mickie. They've done a good job of building Tasha up and I know the two of them will have a good little match. Feels like they are going to allow the aborted angle that Chelsea and Mickie pitched to WWE play out.

Hopefully Tenille is not out long so we can see this Influence/IInspiration feud play out.

She had about the same amount of matches under her belt as Anna Jay because she worked  for a couple of years in the early 90s and then took a six year hiatus until her WWF run. I'm actually kind of curious how she ended up getting signed, but maybe I’m underestimating her rep from Japan.

Tori talks quite candidly about her ring rust, doubting her abilities at that point, and the feeling of not quite being ready during that time period. so yeah, she definitely wasn't ready to lead super green Sable, which only really happened because I believe they suddenly switched plans from Luna to Tori for Mania.

the main was pretty good. So happy for both ladies.
