I don't want to make light of the Terrence Shannon situation at Illinois, but the judge who ruled in his favor today is named Colleen Lawless.
I could totally see a Judge Lawless as a villain in Judge Dredd. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there has been one.

And for anyone who doesn't know, Authentic is the company that buys the likeness rights from the families of dead stars and sells T-shirts and such of them. SI's classic photo and cover library is probably more valuable to them than the magazine possibly could be.

As he should be, Pickett was playing better after Canada was fired and before the injury. Art Rooney II really needs to open the checkbook up(which is hard for him to do) and hire a legit O coordinator and QB coach.
Tomlin I don't think has ever went outside his current staff to hire a coordinator. He also often hires guys most other NFL teams aren't particularly interested in to fill out his staff. He might need to step outside that comfort zone and get a true fresh voice in the locker room.

Dejan Milojevic passed away after collapsing.
At the risk of being morbid, this is the first time I can remember hearing of a coach dying during the season or even while employed. Players, yes, but no coaches.
The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Mike Leach dying in-between the end of the season and bowl game last year. But even then Mississippi State had about three weeks before the game.

Unless those weight rooms can make him grow by 4 inches or so, he's still going to be murdered repeatedly by TE's and WR's. And god help him if an O Lineman comes out to run block.
But hey, COACH PRIME got his meme commit.
Though, to be fair, I don't think Saban and his staff would've given the kid preferred walk on status if they didn't see at least a little bit of potential in him. They definitely did not need a low level recruit to bring extra attention because of who his dad is.
I wonder if he's fast enough to move to safety or something.

In other other news, nobody is ever going to feel sorry for Alabama, but I think Kadyn Proctor just became something like the 22nd player to hit the portal since Saban retired.

In future turmoil news, Ross Bork is leaving A&M to take the Ohio State AD job.
At first I just sighed and went "another guy failing upward."
But I had forgotten that before TAMU he was the AD at Ole Miss who joined with Freeze in just flat out lying about what the NCAA allegations were in order to fool a recruiting class into signing their NLI and being locked in by the time the real news came out.

Oh hey, Pascal Siakam to the Pacers for Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora and 3 first rounders is a done deal.
Siakam is gonna step on the court the first time as a Pacer and try to figure what all that wooden floor with nobody standing in the middle of it is. "You can actually just, like, go to the basket here? Without four people in the way? The other team actually guards guys further than 18' out?"

”How did you do it?”
”Make it to the majors?”
”No, the other thing”

Detroit gonna be loud as fuck again.
(Even a couple Lions players said it was so loud it interfered with their playcalling and signals on defense.)

The trickle down from Saban’s retirement has been brutal. And yet another clear example of why there need to be significant reforms in how the transfer portal works. Through no fault of their own, poor San Jose State and South Alabama now have to endure 30 days of open season on their roster, yet they’re not allowed to be active in the portal to help themselves until it re-opens after spring ball.
Yeah it's nuts. Especially if Fisch ends up getting some of his top players to go with him, etc.
The domino of one guy retiring is insane.
With Harbaugh still up in the air, it's possible 3/4s of the CFP field will have new head coaches next year. Which is pretty nuts. Off hand, I don't remember any team changing the head coach after being in the playoffs that season before.

Been meaning to ask you for Grant Morrison's Justice League run, start and finish of. Thanks in advance. I think it's the only Batman by Grant Morrison I've never read. I've read Gothic, 52 and them's Batman 2006-2013 run, not only the best Batman run ever, it's the best comic book run ever as well. Am I missing any other Batman by Grant Morrison?
Their JLA was 1-17, 22-31, 34-41, 1,000,000 and the JLA: Earth 2 OGN.
You've read their Arkham Asylum book, right?

Although Michigan is, obviously, losing a ton of talent, there was some good news for the program.
Safeties Rod Moore and Makari Paige, Edge Josiah Stewart, and RB Donovan Edwards all announced they are returning to Michigan for another year
There's a ton of holes and questions on offense, but the defense has a hell of a lot coming back. Graham, Grant, Hausmann, Johnson, Sabb... Definitely got the talent to be one of the best in the country again (though I kinda suspect if Harbaugh leaves, Jesse Minter probably goes with him to the NFL.)

JDR has way too many misses for me to put him real high, even though his best stuff is great.
Waid is my favorite guy for straight up classic super hero type stories.
Grant... Well, they are the best. Period. For me, at least, there's never been anyone better than them.

In six days Michigan won the Natty for the first time in 26 years and the Lions won a playoff game for the first time in 32 years.
And Detroit gets to host another game next week. I'm overcome.

I'm not second guessing the decision nor do I think it was the wrong one, but someone is going to ponder now if they should have gone for the 61ish yard FG instead of punting, since either way Detroit just needed a couple first downs to end the game. I don't even know what Brett Maher was hitting in pre-game, maybe they just knew it wasn't something he was capable of.
It's a fair question. He does have a NFL record 4 60+ yard field goals, including a 63 yarder. I think McVay decided there was enough time to get the ball back and get into better range rather than risking getting pinned deep even if they got it back after a miss.
Or maybe Maher doesn't have the leg anymore, I have no idea. And don't really care, tbh.

Robbed the Lions of a chance to extend the lead, Rams get the ball with a chance to take the lead/control. Because a Ram player jumped offsides. What in the blue fuck?

How the fuck was that a false start?

That trade was terrible, but at least Tunsil has been really good to great ever since. Takes some of the sting out of it at least.
