I'm kind of with Antacular.
If you don't want to read people's opinions about something..don't read them. For example, if there's a thread about Miley Cyrus, and you're like "Oh god they're talking about that thing that happened, how stupid." don't click on the thread and then tell everyone how stupid they are. I do the same with TNA threads.
Is there a lot of maturity on this board? Maybe not as much as we'd like. But I think not discussing subjects and trying to avoid people's point of views is a huge reason why we as a species don't go anywhere other than to war.
If some one says something that drives you nuts and makes you feel like the person is the biggest fucking imbecile possible you can always..not say anything. Just leave them in their own little make believe world of stupidty. I excercise this muscle quite a bit when foolishly reading youtube comments or comments on news/political blogs.
On the flipside, the part where I say I'm only "kind of" with Antacular, I already know that some of us cannot keep from replying to something we know is stupid. How many threads have ended with people trying to talk Fat Spanish Waiter or Gonzalez into reason, when they are clearly fucking with people? It's dumb. I'm more annoyed with those people who can't let something go and realize those guys are just cats mucking around than anything.
I'm not at a point where I feel like this place has to have a current events folder because I never used the old one, so I know I can live with out it. But people wringing their hands and being unwilling to even try to discuss anything, because they're afraid that they won't be able to keep themselves from responding to gimmick posters and trolls is depressing. I mean how lame is that? Show some will power and discretion with who you picka fucking fight with. It's not hard to identify who's not worth your time.

I fucking hate Mick Foley.
I hate how he consistently needs to let everyone know how good a person he is, how he has such a complete lack of humility in telling EVERYONE what great deeds he does right down to the last dollar in detail, I hate how he tells the same stories over and over again and has no concept that they've been done to death.
That I met him in person and realised what a whiny scumbag he is too, just nailed it for me. Poor man's Michael Moore.

I disagree. He's clearly booking just like Triple H. Take the most popular teams(Giants, Packers) beat them down for a a few weeks. And just when the internet has cried enough tears, turn turn tables. We just haven't gotten to the point where Aaron Rodgers is saved by The Usos and Zack Ryder. And Ndamakong Suh spears Randall Cobb before someone puts him out of his misery.Well, the Browns got BACKUP MAGIC~! from Brian Hoyer last weekend, I guess the Vikes figure they'll give it a try with Cassel this week. He couldn't possibly be any worse than Christian Ponder. Between the Steelers and Giants being 0-3 and the Packers and Niners limping to 1-2 starts, this has been some horrible booking by Roger Goodell. He really should pass the torch to HHH. Say what you will about Hunter but at least he knows what's BEST FOR BUSINESS.

I think we've handled ourselves pretty well with the Boston and Trayvon Martin stuff. Sometimes it gets ugly but cooler heads usually prevail.
Then again, we all know it'll just become a shit on Big Fresh fest...A Big Fresh Shit Fest, if you will.

Paranormal Activity. Full theater. First chunk of the film people are cracking jokes in the back, goofin off and shit. Then she stands over him while he's sleeping. Then the clock fast forwards and it's been...hours. From that point on, no more jokes - everyone was locked in.
Another recent favorite was Room 237(which is on Netflix Instant now). There's a point where a guy mentions Kubrick's face in the clouds and the film shows the moment he's talking about. Everyone in the room was desperately searching for it, and we all failed. Then we laughed at ourselves for failing while nudging people going, "I can't see it, do you?" It was a great communal moment.

Yeah, it's totally my fault for not digging a little deeper down my Flickchart. My whole flickchart is wonky as hell. I'll find random shit like How To Lose a Man in 10 Days in my Top 500. Meanwhile Kikujiro is waaaay down the ladder.
