He could only hope to be that lucky.
If anyone is that lucky....

45's sentence might get commuted for having to sit through some of these fights.

This has been one of the most wrestling heavy cards in a long time. Watch Kevin Holland choose tonight to switch it up and start using some graps.
Sometimes I surprise myself.

So I haven't missed anything then? Going into the show, the only fight that I'm into is Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier.
Nothing of real consequence. Jailton Almeida bounced back from his loss to Curtis Blaydes. The Gall/Hafez fight was really fun.
Some of the grappling exchanges have been exciting. Others have been...sleepy.
Crowd is going to go fucking nuts when someone eventually gets knocked out.

One of the tweets they put up in the corner said Round 1 of Niko/Morono was the best round of the night. Clearly didn't watch Gall/Hafez which is still in the lead for fight of the night.
Niko looked like he was in slow motion and still catching Morono with fucking uppercuts.Also...

If Dustin wins tonight it'll be the closest we'll get to Cody Beating The Bloodline but in real life.

I don't know if it's been the same judge every time, but there's been some suspect opinions in regards to some of these rounds.
-
Great fight. Gall looked better on the feet than he ever has, and could be even better moving forward after such a long layoff.
I don't think Hafez knows how to have a dull fight, which is both good and bad for him. I feel like he'll be a welterweight Mike Chandler.
-
Man, I forgot all about Bassil Hafez and that Jack Della fight.
Mickey Gall looking better in the second. He might pull this off.
-
Minny looked hung over from that "We didn't get swept!" celebration.
Real let down of a finish from a series of great games.
I don't know if there's a human on planet earth who thought Kyrie going to Dallas would lead to this.
-
That fucking alley oop from Luka to Derrick Jones Jr looked goddamn impossible to get. Holy shit guy had to go full NBA JAM to catch that.
-
And another moment that I found hilarious!
There was a moment where someone had the ball for the Mavs, I can't remember who but it wasn't Luka or Kyrie. They took the ball up off the rebound, drove around the basket and back up to the elbow. For whatever reason,, Gobert switched on to him. When the Mav player got to the elbow he looked over to Luka like, "Do you want the ball?" And Luka shook his head and pointed at him to go at Gobert. The smaller player then made Gobert dance before hitting a jumper.
Van Gundy was like "Why do they keep letting him guard guards?!"
But just the idea of Luka waving this dude on to go cook Rudy had me rolling.

Also a little bummed for Dereck Lively and that knee to the head. The cynical NFL fan in me thinks they said neck sprain to avoid whatever ramifications come with concussions, but I actually don't know the NBA's protocol around that.
Regardless Lively came on big time to close out Oklahoma and has continued to play that way against the TWolves. It's cool to see a rookie have an impact like that, and I hope he's able to bounce back. The playoffs have had more than enough injuries, I just want to see two healthy teams in the finals duke it out.
-
Man, I know that Rudy Gobert isn't a bad player. But these last two games have been the worst looks for the defensive player of the year. Luka with a game winner in game 2. Gafford dunking on him to close out Game 3.
This might be the end of Inside the NBA, and they're gonna spend it burying Karl Anthony Towns.

I remember going to Show Biz for birthday parties and the like, and recall the theater where the animatronics show was.
I also remember the rebranding to Chuck E. Cheese as the sole mascot, complete with cool skateboard and helmet, and the place sucked. It immediately felt lesser than. And it's always been one of those great mysteries of my life.
awww fuck it I'm just gonna buy it.

Don't Panic is really enjoyable. So many peculiar choices. I watched it as a double feature with Cthulhu Mansion which I think was a good pairing. We certainly had fun.
I haven''t gotten around to The Black Cat set, but it looks awesome.
Let me know how the Rock-Afire Explosion doc is, when ever you watch it. I've been on the fence about getting it. I find a lot of nostalgia docs, like movies about old video stores or niche 80's/90's cultural artifacts, don't quite scratch the itch.

After the last round, I won't count Minny out of anything. But Dallas looks like they're capable of clawing their way out of anything at this point.

Where I'm at now, there are two stores overstuffed with DVDs and some blurays. But I really struggle to walk through those aisles because so much of it is the same shit over and over. Anchorman. Dodgeball. Shrek. Ocean's 13. Ice Age. The Hangover. Batman Begins. Hitch. Iron Man 2.
It's like when the used game section is just different versions of 20 year old Maddens.

Over the weekend I googled NBA Draft, and clicked on the News tab, there were a ton of articles about how Bronny doesn't look like an NBA prospect, and how scouts aren't really feeling him. ... and then one ESPN article that says "How Bronny James Improved his Draft Stock at the Combine."

I used to sub to Wrestle Universe a long time ago, but I think at the time it was just DDT and TJPW. That'll probably be my solution. I'm going to Japan in October so I'm hoping to get a feel for the promotions and catch a show.

What company's besides New Japan are offering the best stuff? I'm thinking about getting back into puro after a too many year layoff.
Like when I was watching Ryota Hama was still a current name, and now enough time has passed that people have forgotten his existence.

What a weird series. All credit to Minnesota who looked on the ropes and unable to respond after Denver won three straight. This was a historically gutsy comeback that feels like Championship level material to me. So watch them lose to the Mavs in 5 I guess - because these playoffs have been something else.
I feel ... apathetic... about the Pacers/Boston series.

Great game. Thought PJ may have fucked it up with that foul on the in-bound, but he made it up later with the foul shots.
Will be interesting to see how OKC tinkers in the offseason.

Not the ending I wanted but that was a great fight. Dustin was escaping enough take downs to keep it interesting. Wiseman Khabib was losing his shit in the corner. Fight had it all.
I think Islam's next fight he becomes double champ.
