I was lucky when at American that I got to cover a couple of games Lefty coached when he was at James Madison and both JMU and AU were in the CAA together at that time
Those pressers must've been a hoot to cover. Did American ever do the coaches luncheons thing where the visiting school's coach had lunch with the alumni and told stories? At Bradley they still talk about Charlie Spoonhour and Richie Herrin yukking it up with everyone at those years ago.

Caitlin Clark broke the NCAA* women's career scoring record with a career-high 49 points against Michigan. The record was broken on a transition 3 from about 30 feet. Completely ridiculous shot.
Clark is now 99 points shy of passing Pete Maravich for career NCAA points.
* - as you may or may not have heard, the actual women's college scoring record is held by Lynette Woodward, who scored 3649 points for Kansas in the years before the NCAA recognized women's basketball.
Actually it's held by Pearl Moore, who scored a phenomenal 4,061 points at Francis Marion in Florence, SC (now D-II) between 1975-79 under the auspices of the NCAA women's predecessor, the AIAW (Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women). Clark is amazing but she isn't topping that.

So, you're Adam Silver...how do you get players to actually put forth competitive effort in the All-Star game? We're not going to suddenly have the cutthroat mentality of Bird/Isiah/MJ transplanted into 2024 players to have the game be naturally competitive, so what are some potential solutions?
Losing team has to give their ASG contract bonuses to the winners?

Indiana State is nationally ranked! This is not a repeat from 1979.

Programming note: NASCAR has bumped up the Clash to tonight so they can avoid the monster storm approaching the coast.

Kansas will play their entire 2024 season in Kansas City while Memorial Stadium is blown up and rebuilt. Conference home games will be played at Arrowhead while their two non-conference affairs (Lindenwood and UNLV) will take place at Children's Mercy Park (Sporting KC).

I'm just cracking up for each new graphic, picturing each guy sitting at their computer and wondering what they're celebrating/reacting to.

Disgraceful scenes at West Brom vs Wolves.
First Black Country Derby with fans since 2012 and they decided to throw it back to 1985. Shameful.
FA Cup 5th round draw:
Maidstone fans were funny watching that draw. The disappointment at "only" getting Wednesday/Coventry was palpable.

Absolutely monstrous Cupset as sixth-tier Maidstone United knock off Ipswich. One of the biggest ever for my money.

I will do some digging for Williamstown. Going from memory, it’s a lot of strip mall chain restaurant types of places — it’s right when the Philly suburbs start to no longer become the suburbs.
Seeing how far away it is from anything literally hurt my soul, especially on a Thursday night. But missing out would hurt even more. Got my ticket with Rev Ray last night... it'll be my first show since G1 Supercard, so almost literally 5 years to the day.
