  1. Results from Purolove (I don't think I need a spoiler tag, but I'll add one until I get the go-ahead):

    8. Keiji Muto & Bob Sapp besiegen René Duprée & Zodiac (10:20) nach einem von Muto gegen Duprée.

I can't say that the majority of X's are too surprising, though I'd prefer to see some of them in AJ. #6 is probably the most interesting, while the main event is obviously the most "Oh Muto, you so crazy!"

  2. Hansen & Mossman vs Kawada & Tenryu from 2000. Everyone has something to prove in this match: Kea has to prove that he's the next big thing, Hansen needs to prove he can still bring it, Kawada has to prove that he is All Japan, and Tenryu is making his big come back to AJ. The result is four guys kicking the absolute shit out of each other. Sick match where Hansen punches the ring post and Kawada hits a powerbomb on Kea that folds him up like an accordion.

  3. ROBOCOP Remake is Apparently "Hell" for Director

“I talked to José Padilha for a week by phone. He will begin filming Robocop. He is saying that it is the worst experience. For every 10 ideas he has, 9 are cut. Whatever he wants, he has to fight… ‘This is hell here,’ he told me. ‘The film will be good, but I never suffered so much and do not want to do it again.’ He is bitter, but it’s a fighter.”

Year-old report. I'll never understand why you hire a great director and then refuse to let him do his thing.

  4. Apparently Akebono just signed with AJP, so maybe he'll get it. Otherwise, most likely candidate is Doering. Considering Omori just lost to Akiyama, in a match that I was sure was meant to set Omori up as the next contender, it's possible that he'll win this as a way to set him up against Suwama without putting him ahead of Akiyama in the ultimate pecking order.

    In other words, I dunno.

  5. That's what I assumed they're planning

That is safe to pull off if the card is sold out, you just better deliver or it can kill the credibility of the promotion instantly.

It might be safe for the house show, but aren't they broadcasting live as well? I'd think that having at least some of the card set would be helpful for bringing in viewers. Eh, but what do I know.

  6. Jeez, that whole show was, uh, rough. I can't wait for the Barnett facade to crumble when he faces a guy who hasn't been KO'd as many times as Mir (angry I made that switch in my picks, no doubt).

Yeah, finally he'll be revealed as the sub-top-5-but-still-definitely-top-10 heavyweight that he really is!Seriously, when's the last time Frank Mir looked good in a fight? Even when he wins it's ugly as hell.
