  1. Was awesome to see Dr Who on the big screen. They didn't do much with 3D apart from the paintings and the Daleks attacking Galiffrey. First time I've ever been to a movie where the audience applauded at the end. Roll on Christmas special!

  2. Swordfish is in my top 20 movies of all time, just a very enjoyable action flick with a perfect cast where it looks like everyone had a great time filming it and really works.

Rat Race doesn't get the love it deserves, one of my favourite comedies in modern times. Huge cast. Jon Lovitz accidentally doing a Hitler speech at a WW2 veterans gathering gets me everytime.

  3. Just re-watched Rumble 2004, 2 things sprang out at me. We basically do have Benoit in 2013, he just looks smaller and has a beard. I guarantee if Benoit didn't do what he did, he'd be doing all that Bryan's done, awkward hug it out with Kane, AJ as his crazy gf, the works. Ironically he could have done with a real life Dr Shelby.

Also JR and Tazz were on commentary, JR is actually so good, like it's been so long I forgot? Tazz was good too, you know what with actually calling the names of moves, he even specified what sort of suplex was being thrown instead of everything just being "modified".

  4. Well the only thing Origins really set up is that Logan lost his memory 15 years before X1. So nothing to wipe there, although if they want to use Gambit again he has some back story from Origins and has met Wolverine already.

So in DOFP Wolverine with Adamantium claws could go back in time and meet Wolverine with bone claws.

Also Liev Schrieber was an awesome Sabretooth. If they wanted to make a Wolverine and Sabretooth fight in lots of different wars movie based on the opening montage of Origins I'd book tickets now.

Same as if they made a Fassbender as Magneto hunting down Nazi's movie. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

  5. Just watched last stand, and they don't have much to retcon anyway. The cure was only temporary so rogue, magneto and mystique all get their powers back. Cyclops body was never found and you didn't see him die. Jean Grey and Xavier are too powerful to be dead, some force magic will bring them back to life. Jean Grey already resurrected herself from thin air once before. Will watch origins and first class tomorrow see if there's anything there.

  6. Wait a minute, open casting call in London in 2 weeks? I have no acting experience whatsoever, but I did promise my 12 year old self that if they ever made episode 7 I should do everything in my power to at least get a cameo...

  7. This years Survivor Series match has the potential to be one of, if not the best elimination match ever. Rhodes, Bryan, Goldust, Show & ...Punk? Vs Shield, Ryback & Orton? Something like that? Sounds like fun to me.

  8. Well I just watched all of Season 8 in the past week. Haven't taken it seriously since the first few episodes of season 5 with Lumen in, downhill from there. Been some great actors in this since then, but just not a total package.

You know the spree Patrick Bateman goes on in American Psycho? Where you're not sure it's even happening, it's so unreal. That is how I thought Dexter should end, with a panic so tense that you don't know how he's going to squirm his way out it, or if if he even will.

I want to write an essay here about all the plot-holes, logic gaps and characters that didn't get or didn't need a wrap up, but unfortunately I just don't care enough to do that.

Instead I think I'll mainly attribute it to the 16 directors, 19 writers, 26 producers over the last 8 seasons, surprised there weren't more actually, it felt it.

Or you can blame it on John Lithgow, I mean where do you go after that sort of performance?

  9. Cinemas round here are dead, have to travel quite a distance to get to a full showing. Know I lost my shit during the Tintin movie, motorcycle chase went on for seemingly forever then his motorcycle broke and he used it as a zipline...my inner child decided to come out, actually wanted to stand and applaud. Don't know much about Spielberg, but say what you want about him, the man must have been chased as a child.
