I just want to laugh about Cornette saying the Young Bucks aren't physically imposing.  For one, both guys have gotten bigger in the past few years.  Two, Cornette spent years managing Bobby Eaton, a very average looking dude with a blond mullet, beer belly, and spaghetti arms.

But keep on working your marks Jim.  Even Meltzer low key called him out for it.

Bobby Eaton being a very average looking dude with a mullet, beer gut and spaghetti arms is exactly why he was physically imposing.

  2. Cole/Gargano looked and felt very artificial and fake to me.

At no point did I believe these two were not two actors who were very self-aware that they were trying to put on a seven star match that Dave Meltzer would like, as opposed to two guys who hate each other and want to win a legitimate fight.

It was full of bad acting, forced drama, incredibly dumb kickouts and I just thought the whole thing was lousy.

And I say this as someone who is usually a fan of the overproduced WWE epic. This thing was bullshit. And may god have mercy on their souls if they have a rubber match.

  3. This was the worst Takeover I've ever seen.

Cole vs Gargano was a classic in that it invented ways a wrestling match could be terrible in ways I didn't even know existed.

You can't even blame Vince for this. If this is what the WWE is going to look like when HHH takes over, I hope Vince lives until he's 120.

  4. I tuned out when they started doing the guest GM RAWs. Those were putrid.

I came back as a way to bond with my niece and nephew, who became really big fans of WWE without giving a damn about backstage politics or how dumb the writing is. They just simply like to watch wrestling and take everything at face value. It's really refreshing to just watch the show through the eyes of little kids who actually do see Cena and Rey Mysterio as these big heroes and boo guys like Joe and Drew Mcintyre because they're bad guys without caring about anything else.

They also think Dolph Ziggler is lame, so I've taught them well. Muahahahaha

Based on them announcing AJ Styles as a participant in the 4-way and then also announcing said match would be an elimination match and neither happened I am gong to go out on a limb and say this will happen next..

Dave: "Uhh haha yeah so what I heard is that this show was being rewritten as they were on the air.."

    Bryan: "you're kidding..

They covered it in commentary by saying Braun and Lashley fighting their way out of the building and not returning to the ring effectively eliminated themselves from the match.

I knew there were gonna be a lot of gifs from this show and sure enough haha

    - This is the first Raw I've watched since... maybe last Veteran's Day? It was... okay.

    - The women's match was real good. Iconics were actually good at cutting off the ring (this is my first time watching them aside from their incomprehensible backstage talking segments which really should be subtitled). Becky is OVER.

    -  Wonder if Sami got heat for bringing up AEW. The Rollins crack Re: Becky was funny.

    - Cesaro/Ricochet was baller. They seem to be working up a feud for them and it'll be great.

    - That was one hell of a long open. And the most shocking thing of the whole episode: Dolph did a great promo that didn't make me vomit on my keyboard!

I agree, that was the first time Dolph Ziggler cut a promo that I could actually say was good. The biggest shock of the night right there.

I only caught the end of the battle royal and saw the gif of Cody hitting HHH’s thrown, complete with WCW-level effects. That was incredibly lame.

Yes, for all the good in the ppv, that moment was pretty bush league and got a lot of eye rolls from my viewing party.

  8. I find it really hard to say AEW is blameless when they knew full well they were dealing with a wrestler who already had a shady past of walking out on promotions when he didn’t get his way in booking on top of the fact he wasn’t actually signed with them in the first place and subject to the whims of another promotion’s booking. All that and they waited until the very last minute to cancel the match after promoting it prominently for months.

I guess the torch really has been passed.

    LOLAEW

Doesn't have quite the same ring as LOLTNA but it will do.

  9. I found a match between Magee and Arn that was a similar level of carryjob on YouTube. As far as I can tell, he was very carryable but his moveset is almost non-existant. And yeah, he has no concept of psychology.

If he was around today, they’d stick him in NXT for a few years, he’d get good working with top level workers every day and then they’ll randomly have him flip off a ladder onto a crowd of people on RAW to build to MitB and he’ll be a star.
