I find it kind of funny that people pay extra to be on camera when the majority of the show takes place facing the hard cam. Extra expensive to see mostly the backs of the wrestlers.

I'm sure that the title change will be on the regular Asahi Saturday night show in the next week or two.

We chanted Percy at Paul Bearer and he replied in character, Percy's in the Urn!

Here's the issue: as a non-NJPW fan, I'm not into this guy, and I'm not sure they've given me a reason why I should.
As a big NJPW fan, I'm not into this guy either. He is indy scum DDT to me.

Jinder Mahal is a TV wrestler. Masada is a long time hardcore/deathmatch wrestler, and the originator of the yakitori skewers to the head when he was in Big Japan Pro Wrestling. mahal showed up and refused to do hardcore and walked out on the match. I think that it is storyline.

Counterpoint: it might just be me, but once Savage became a milquetoast good guy in a full body suit, I lost interest in him. Savage cheering on the babyfaces as a commentator on Raw was so against what he'd been in the past. Same with Piper. Babyface Piper post-comeback was garbage.
Looking back, the company was never the same to me after Lou Albano turned babyface.

I met Kirishima at Yumiko Hotta's snack bar on Thursday night. This board might be the only place where I could post this in English and someone might understand. I am going to day 3 of the basho. Getting tickets was a horrible experience. 90 minutes of endless errors and reloading of the online ticket system to be able to get one ticket.

Also...
Natsuko Tora and Konami were off the show due to post-Mania crud.
Sayaka Kurara gave her Cinderella wish, and is challenging Kamitani.
Suzu Suzuki and Mei Seira beat each other bloody.
Starlight Kid's nose got busted open again.
Sareee did get booed, as she came in right after Mayu's post-match promo.
The post-match for the main event went almost 20 minutes. Saya admitted she loved Tam, and that she was an inspiration to her. Great cinematic ending as Saya helped carry Tam up the ramp. Both of them got to the top, sat down together, and the lights went out.
I watched it live, and while it was an amazing show, it was ridiculously long at 6 hours.. Samurai TV ended up cutting it off in the middle of the main event. The only bad match was Hotta vs Rina.
I was like WTF when Samurai just went to the next program. The replay did the same.

Slightly random but am I the only one who can’t stand Matt Jackson and thinks Nick is so much better? Even ignoring in ring where Nick has always been the star, Matt Jackson’s facial expressions and mannerisms are just the most forced, try hard, cringe acting, where Nick’s body language, charisma, and comedic timing feel natural and nuanced. It’s so crazy how similar yet pronounced the differences are to me between brothers.
I still am not sure which one is Matt or Nick. I also was never sure which one was Max or Jeremy. I'll try to pay more attention and see if I can notice what you are saying. They just are "oh, good workrate tag match" to me.

Thekla is done with Stardom and is heading to USA land, https://www.patreon.com/posts/thekla-update-127597404
I really like seeing her becoming a star. I met her on the stairs to the basement of Ikebukuro Club Bed to get in to a World Underground Wrestling show. She was sent by Humongus to meet with Fugo Fugo Yumenji and start training with WUW. Crazy to see her go from random English speaker that I met in Tokyo to go through WUW -> Ice Ribbon -> Stardom -> hopefully making USA money.

Bret said the Crossface Chickenwing legit hurt too. You probably don't want to keep someone floating around the top who's hurting and could possibly injure your top talent.
I met Backlund when he did an appearance when he had his crazier than wrestling run for political office. He was a nice guy taking pictures with everyone. He put the kids in headlocks for photos. He stiffed me in the crossface chickenwing and still acting as a nice guy told me that I was flexible while doing it.

Rick Knox?
I don't know exactly who Rick Knox is. I've heard the name. Bronco Lubich, Dick Kroll, Dick Woehrle and such are what is missing now.

I don't know if they are showed the finish of Backlund vs Superstar Graham on local TV but was there any mention of the fact that Superstar's leg was on the bottom rope.
Yes it was mentioned along with mentioning that Graham beat Bruno with his feet on the ropes.

if you're a VJM, Graham just disappearing for a few years post-title probably vindicates your POV a little even if the switch factored into it.. like "what if he had that medical event while working for me during an extended run"
then a few years later, Snuka became a challenger to Backlund for popularity, only for it to become obvious that Snuka was undependable for a few reasons
I went to MSG to see a title match with George Steele, who showed up out of nowhere, and Backlund beat him in a minute with a roll up. We were sure that it was going to be a title change to get the belt to Snuka.

I had a nice meal at Itsuki Yamazaki's restaurant today. I talked to her for a while and saved $24,900 from doing it with John Cena. Actually I saw an empty chair at the table. Was John there?

The Red Bank that Tremont will be running H2O out of is near Chattanooga TN, sorry.

In other US Indie news, Matt Tremont has shut down the H2O centre in New Jersey and moved his family to Tennessee, H2O will continue to exist and start running shows again soon, but they'll be in the TWE centre in Red Bank. What happens to the rest of the regular H2O roster, I don't know.
I thought that this was good news. Then I just found out that there is a second Red Bank in NJ. 70 miles from my house, not 15 miles like the well known Red Bank.

Rico Suave (Crazy Sheik) from Puerto Rico has died. I think that he was supposed to be this year's honoree at WWC Anniversario.
-
Last 2+ years Homicide's speech has been off. I hope the future goes well for him.
-
I miss crazy wrestlers. I just watched Classic All Star Wrestling on Fight Network. Tully Blanchard paid The Sheik to come to Texas and be his tag partner. Now all of the blood and guts guys are all about mutual respect and love of the business.

The Valiant Brothers with Lou Albano were tremendous in the 70's. That gimmick would have run its course, but Boogieman is timeless.
