  1. Jedi Mind Tricks new album is unbelievably good. One of the best rap albums I've heard in a while, really well produced, some great female vocalist interludes and some fun rap tunes.

  2. 93 is a grand old age, for a grand old actor.

What a life from World War 2 service, SAS service, a Knighthood, getting to star in all those awesome Hammer movies with Peter Cushing, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and Metal Albums.

His Biography is just flat out full of awesomeness.

    RIP Good Sir

  3. I didn't kill WCW but I definitely enabled WCW by watching the shows, buying merch and ordering PPV's.

If I had known how much damage it would do to itself and others in its final, desperate last few years then I would have stopped.

I just wish someone had sat WCW down and said "hey, WCW, everything's going to be okay".

  4. I just finally caught up with this.

Before the final scene, Mike is on a call, presumably with the vet, where he says "and you've done business with him before" or similar.

Hoping it's the vet setting him up with Gus!

  5. 1. Best Wrestler - Cena, he has been consistent as hell throughout this year.

    2. Best Match - Lesnar v. Reigns at Wrestlemania.

    3. Best Promotion - NXT, it has been great so far in 2015

    4. Best Live Special/PPV - Wrestle Kingdom 9, just a great watch start to finish

    5. Best Tag Team/Trio - Miz & Mizdow, were fantastic and super over for the first part of the year, shame they wont really figure in the end of year polls.

    6. Best Non Wrestler - Heyman

    7. Best Weekly Tv Show - Lucha Underground

    8. Most Improved - Rusev, he was getting better and better every week until he got injured, he's been fantastic this year.

  6. I 100% bought into the Bischoff / Hogan TNA run at the start. Even bringing in the Nastys I thought they might have had a good couple of random garbage matches with the Dudleys.

Post-' The Wrestler', I was sure WWE or TNA would have picked up the Necro Butcher for a run. Would loved to have seen him in a redneck stable with ODB and Cody Deaner "hey ODB, Cousin Necro is coming to town".

    SUBJECT: ROH on DA!!!!!

    Sweeties,

I've just seen the news that DA have picked up ROH. What on earth are they thinking? Those stupid doofuses do know that they have the best wrestling show on TV! Bless their dumb little hearts.

Vince, would this be a good time for you to come back on board? Now that the Destination America Wars have started we need your expertise.

    Hugs and Kisses,

    Dixie

  8. I saw the John Oliver FIFA report a few weeks back, FIFA is one of the most insanely corrupt organisations on earth. Sepp Blatter might as well be a Bond Villain at this point.

Hank Scorpio for next FIFA presidente!

  9. Joe appearing last night was the wrestling equivalent of the Men in black memory eraser.

'Hey remember that time Joe had a penis tattoo on his face?'

    'Nope'

It's like the real Joe from 2004 woke up out of stasis and wandered into NXT at random.

  10. Probably already been said but the PTP came off as a huge deal to me, the tag scene is loaded at the moment.

The U.S. Title has a clear direction, the IC belt has its own thing going on, it's like they are listening to some of the stuff we have been going on about for ages.

Angry shouty Rusev is the best Rusev

"I already mastered your stupid American language"

  11.

..but that's not a whole lot of work for an eight-year span.

What does "semi-retirement" even mean? Just no one calling? It's now 2015, Backlund is 65 years old & still not retired, so...

I just find it weird how no one ever really talks about Bob Backlund other than losing his title to Sheik then coming back as a heel to feud with Bret almost a decade later. He was the world champion of the biggest U.S. promotion, no?

This comes up periodically, as a kid old enough to remember Backlund on the way out, and with little access to anything non-WWE it seemed as if he legit disappeared off the face of the earth until he came back cross face chickenwinging everyone in 93-94

  12. This goddam month, this goddam month.

I was away all weekend seeing a The Smiths tribute act with my wife and briefly saw something about people hating deathmatches, as my user name suggests I was ready to wade right I on it, but yeesh, that Sunny news.

Urgh, I'm off to watch some 2003 IWA MS death matches to get the image out of my head.

Also, fake Morrissey way, way better and cheaper than real Morrissey.

  13. You shoulda seen him mark out when Beefcake was painted up as The Zodiac.

You know, when I was a kid I loved Beefcake as well, on WWF Wrestling Challenge for the Nintendo he was my go to guy.

Regarding my face paint love, I remember around that time stumbling across a regional fed, possibly Memphis, while I was at my Grandmothers house and there was a guy in face paint and I immediatly took to him as well, for the life of me I cant remember who it was though.

I'm a face paint guy.  (I love the Ascencion).
