  1. Y'know what I was thinking after that really great promo where Cena brought the intensity and invoked Make-A-Wish, just the thing to drive his fans wild, and Bryan brought the intensity and invoked Japanese wrestling, just the thing to drive HIS fans wild, and Cena slapped Bryan and Bryan refused to slap Cena back and that sleepy Sacramento crowd had finally been woken up and was going nuts?

I was thinking "I hope HHH comes out. That's what this needs."

  2. Twitter: *various unsourced rumors about Ronaldo taking his private jet to Manchester*

Paddy Crerand on MUTV: "I'm hearing rumours about Ronaldo in Manchester. No confirmation, there."

Twitter: "CRERAND CONFIRMS RONALDO IN MANCHESTER"

  3. I like Sanderson's writing a lot, and he develops worlds well, but he can't seem to end any of his stories without (in one instance, literal) deus ex machina. Interestingly enough (to me), this seemed least evident in his Wheel of Time books, where he was presumably working off of Jordan's notes.

  4. Holy shit that is a great idea!

Especially since it's fucking cold in the NFC North...

Are you saying Jay Cutler, the personification of the Bears team in 2013, isn't a superdupermega star

Only in the minds of Bear fans and himself. . . lol

Bears fans hate Cutler more than fans of other teams (possible exception: Denver) can possibly know.

  5. Can they legally put Hogan in without his permission? Or did he actually sign off on this?

I'd imagine that between the Hogan's two stints in WWF/E and their ownership of WCW's assets, WWE has all kinds of likeness rights on him.

  6.

... I thought the story was far better then the first game, but whatever.

The build was better and more engaging. The payoff was awful.Contrast the massive death orgy with the sheer awesomeness of a lineup of goons clapping you through to Joker who turns himself into a monster and tries to make you as well, only for you to fight to not be that...to fight him as yourself with the tools that make you who you are. It was a better payoff to the story and the characterization to that point, which also had the benefit of being a relatively satisfying end boss battle rather than...well, the last throwdown in AC.

I didn't care for it as much as you did because the whole point of Joker is that he's someone Batman can't just pummel into submission. Joker finally and permanently undone not by any action on Batman's part but by his own trickster nature going awry is the ultimate payoff.

Also Clayface was way the fuck harder than Venom-Joker.

The Ra's ending was a typical Ra's ending: He probably died but he's been whisked away for another Lazarus spa treatment. As for Hugo...I'm sorry, but in a game with Joker and Ra's Al Ghul, you can't possibly have believed that Hugo Strange was the big bad...

Why wouldn't she have said it to his face? I've seen fans say far worse to players.. it happens all the time. Ever been to Philly?

I don't travel much, so no.  Not sure what my going/not going to Philly as to do with my general premise, though.

Most fans just don't say that sort of thing to an athlete's face.

This is a true statement if by "most fans" you mean a majority, as in greater than 50%. This notion you seem to have that those who would are this rare breed, possibly unheard of outside the jungles of Philadelphia, is quaint but not particularly accurate.

  8. Barry Bonds was still hoping a team would sign after his contract expired and he sat out of baseball for a year. Jose Canseco wanted to play 2-3 more years and still thinks he could hit 20+ homers as a DH. These PED cheats never voluntarily leave, they have to be driven out like rats carrying the bubonic plague. Which I guess makes Bud baseball's St Patrick.

    Or baseball's pied piper, anyway.

  9.

Pretty clearly a tainted loss to build up to Dolph/Kaitlyn-AJ/Big E, and a way to build The Shield back up after they've been an afterthought over the last couple of months. What would have been a more appropriate ending? Cena in the ring while Bryan poses on the ramp saying "YES" and an unnaturally long staredown?

Yes, because quite honestly Cena/Bryan is a match I give a fuck about right now and The Shield can fuck right off with their irrelevant titles and go fight a reunited Awesome Truth on the pre-show. Get those jokers I give no fucks about out of my main event at Summerslam build.

Even when it's going to turn out Shield attacked Bryan at Mr. McMahon's behest?

  10. The one thing I have to say about the 'Vince hates Daniel Bryan' angle is that Hunter and Steph are thoroughly superfluous to it. What part of "Scrappy Underdog vs Megalomaniacal Corporate Tyrant" is improved by adding the MCT's weepy daughter and her backstage power broker ex-champ husband into the mix?

Amusingly enough, talking about auditoriums and armories, the first place I saw AmDrag live, a typically crappy rec center in Vallejo, CA, was also the same place I first saw Cena.

Layla and AJ as happy-go-lucky-and-kinda-crazy heels is great. I'm thinking Lay-J for the team name.

For a feud where I like both people in it, I'm amazed at how little I care about the world title. I'm not sure I could be less interested without Miz somehow being involved.

And while I like Sandow as well, he doesn't exactly seem like the answer either.

I was also thinking Ed Leslie when Vince teased a barber, though I also thought that was maybe a bit unlikely. I was, however, massively confused when it was Barrett who came out.

Over/under on when we see Giant Bernard back in New Japan?

Punk/Lesnar/Heyman(/Axel...ish) smacks of an angle that WWE's creative team has barely touched. It's probably why it's working so well.
