I give you Hobbs. He would be great challenger for Wangman

Yeah, why isn’t Hobbs showing, and injuring Page’s back with a rack, then stealing the belt like he owns it? Better yet Hobbs should go solo, and start dressing like Michael Clark Duncan’s Kingpin, and announcing himself as the capo of AEW with his own group.

A new year brings new booking opportunities and new fixtures to AEW TV. If I were to bet on any kind of stock, it would be Bowens. I think you could strap a rocket to his back with a proper angle where Caster turns on him. Caster may have the better mic skills, but Bowens I think will go future with lesser mic skills and more in ring ability.

Or they could both turn face, and have Jurassic Express along with Christian turn into a heel trio.

Private Party, Jade Cargill, Scorpio Sky, Lee Moriarty, Team Taz, Acclaimed etc. It's such an weird statement.

Only problem with that is that outside of Jade, all those other black wrestlers are JITTS. I can understand not pushing Sky, or Private Party, but all those other black stars should be on the verge of something bigger, and not be just helping establish your very white stars.

It’s 2022, and diversity sells. TK should realize this. We aren’t just in a “white prints money era”, and his people should be looking for people outside of his color spectrum to be big stars in the future.

  4. She isn’t wrong about the lack of diversity when it comes to black wrestlers. They have ‘em but they aren’t utilizing them more in a bigger prominent spot. Sonny Kiss for one should be on TV. She’s gotten so much better. No reason she shouldn’t be in these multi-tags trying to get over doing crazy spots.

”The lack of Structure” in their structure is why I enjoy the company. That’s a flaw with that kind of setup where people are fighting for attention. Then again that’s what makes it entertaining to me when it clicks. Like what happened on Rampage last night. Having “structure” with writers doesn’t necessarily guarantee a strong “structure”. Because usually as has happened in the WWE that “structure” tends to be torn down over and over again in a very quick manner. It’s really an illusion of “structure”. Especially in the undercard. Like how many times has an angle started in the WWE undercard scene that had no actual follow-up? Quite a lot. Sure the wrestler goes into meetings with ideas, and sketches. It all feels like you’re in a big Hollywood pitch meeting, but then eventually a week later after your debut the floor crumbles underneath, and it’s over. Nice presentation though.

That’s probably one of the reasons people enjoy Vince. For one day at the start he can make you feel like the center of attention, and on the verge of fame. So as a salesman he’ll leave you with a great impression of him always because you’ll hardly ever butt heads with him. That’s Jim Ross/Heyman/Ace/Pritchard’s job. They will be the right hand to push that wrestlers personal Jenga down when it’s time to cut bait.

Great show, but they need to put a ban on thumbtacks for, like, five years. Let's not kill something that should be death by using it in every blowoff.

I don’t know, as long as the ending is person gives another person a barbed wire sleeper hold, then you don’t need to worry about thumbtack enhanced move not being the finish.

  6. I think what Cornette has is he grew up with very mouthy parents. He doesn’t have the look of somebody with something undiagnosed. He sounds like a guy who used to yell garbage at opposing players at the plate. A loud mouth, with a quick wit to insult.

is there something about an executive badmouthing a former employee in a way that could damage their reputation? That seems bad.

That’s the worst part. He isn’t a fan on a forum anymore. He shouldn’t be criticizing the talent of a former employee like that on a public stage like this after she was recently let go.

IMO, nobody looks good in this. Darius and Swole both seem to believe that diversity only means black people, disregarding Japanese and Latino talents.

No, only Tony Khan looks bad. He shouldn’t have responded as fast as he did in the way he did. He just placed his neck, and his companies neck out there without any tact whatsoever.

  9. I really liked the section of Rosa Vs. Jade where they spent like 4 minutes or so on the floor. Might’ve been there to disguise Jade’s lack of experience, but it reminded me of Bam Bam Bigelow’s ECW matches that needed 8 minutes of brawling in the same area.

For all the complaints about shenanigans, that was the right finish in that women’s match especially if they want Thunder to be the next champ.

I don’t know what’s happening next week, but I hope Ruby has her best pair of working boots prior to, and during the match. This will need a lot of planning out to make this one special. They both got something too. Ruby’s arm, and Jade’s leg should be the focus. Bret Hart Vs. Diesel, and (What I believe was the inspiration of the former match) Marco Ruas Vs. Paul Varelans should be the match they should be watching tape on  before the match on Wednesday.

Tapping into my inner Greggulator here, but I think it would be useful to do a promo or vignette explaining the history between the Bucks, ReDragon, and Cole. Nothing big is needed, but at least give people something because the story feels flat.

Feels like that’s where it’s heading. The same way Kenny, Hangman & The Bucks went in 2020.
