So are you saying Victory Road '09 was a good show that he maligned? This is him being unfair and biased against a company? This is the source of your rage-boner?

Point missed by a country mile, predictably.

BTW where do I have the rage boner? I called him a shill and all the psychos came out of the Woodward throwing mud and all I’ve done is respond.

You have any kids? That haven’t killed themsleves out of shame?

Because their pathetic father needs to remind wrestling message board users 3 times that he’s known Dave Meltzer for 40 years like its a badge of honor  ?.

Alt Right Wild doesn't exactly have the best ring to it but they can make it work.

They’re employing trans people and are positioning themselves to be the Bernie Sanders of pro wrestling.

So Alt Right Wild makes a lot of sense, you fucking halfwit ??‍♂️.

Don't waste your time. It's a bunch of reasonable people and one simpleton that can't get over the fact that WCW is dead, and TNA did everything they could to out-WWE WWE and couldn't.

Just out of curiousity, how many times does one have to get banned before they get the hint they're not wanted around?

And another guy, who’s still butt hurt because what he likes is a underground joke that looks like a cooperative ballet that most people laugh at and disregard.

Also, its beyond hilarious that you want me banned and yet you can’t stop visiting my profile page. Weirdo.

One of the first Pentagon Jr. matches I saw was him in a small garage with an open roof and the mat was covered from the rain. They didn't use it much though as they brawled all over and Pentagon used a broken beer bottle as a weapon and licked blood off of it. ?

I love Penta. I just wish someone did something more with him other then having him do his hand gesture 25 times.

He could be the lucha Undertaker or Sting.

I understand he actually had a character in LU but I didn’t watch that.

Penta and Fenix as MS13, tequilla bottles, and piñatas on poles

...oh and a Scott Hall picture in a box

    Ratings Bonzana, BRO!

Lmao you do realize that ten times more people watched that stuff than what you like right?

Your sarcasm doesn’t work when the your tired act is actually true.

  7. 6 minutes ago, Elsalvajeloco said:

But how is it going to sell tickets and get ratings? I don't believe the fans want to see this.

That reminds of the time Impact did a bunch of those type of awesome matches last year and two thirds of the audience they had left, went away in droves.

So logically speaking, that would for sure get ratings.

I mean, Penta throwing up his hand gesture 25 times is must see TV after all.

Dave Meltzer's clear bias is anti-WWE and pro-indie/ROH/Japan. And when he's on the radio, he tends to ramble...a lot.

It also sounds like he orgasms sometimes when talking about some of the matches and moves in New Japan.

Depends on how fans accept the show and it's structure. And on how hot the brand is and if it appeals to wrestling fans.

Should use smaller buildings for tv.

I’d love to see some outdoor venues.

  10. Quote

As for him showing favoritism... I mean, yeah. He's a journalist in a profession/sport that's CARNY AS FUCK. Of course he's going to be a carny too

Idk why its that hard for people to admit that.

All I said was he shills, which he does, and people lost their mind and started trolling me for stating the obvious.

  11. 3 minutes ago, Elsalvajeloco said:

Yeah, it was his worship that allowed New Japan to sell out Madison Square Garden months in advance without even a match announced. He is the modern day Tex Rickard.

I never thought I would say this but folks, this is a good reason to support Planned Parenthood.

The fuck does them selling out MSG have to do with it? What, because they sold out MSG that means he’s not in the tank for them?

Nobody is arguing that the reason for their success is his shilling. But he’s a shill, regardless.

    Good straw man tho.

  12. Moving on.

Super impressive that they sold out that quickly again and it should look great on TV. I will readily admit that this product can draw awesome houses once every few months.

Not sure how well they’re gonna do when they need to fill up houses every week for live TV.

Also, I’m wondering how many of these people are the same ones that went to All In...

  13. Its absurd to say with a straight face that the guy doesn’t  favorite, isn’t biased towards what he likes, and doesn’t troll what he dislikes.

Have people seen his twitter? FFS. The constant worship of NJPW to the point where he’s trying to convince people that some of their talents are the greatest of all time better than Flair, Austin, etc.

If you’re discussing this in good faith and not being a troll, you cannot claim that he’s some unbiased source. It’s laughable.

  14. 3 minutes ago, OSJ said:

You're dredging up stuff from a decade ago to try and make your argument

FFS. That’s the crux of the argument you ignorant, ignorant human being.

    I’m done, you’re blocked.

  15. Just now, OSJ said:

Am I insane? *Looks around* No, don't think so, but if I was I really wouldn't know would I?  Please show me where Dave "shat on TNA" for their entire existence. Seems to me that they still exist, is he shitting on them today or has your hyperbole gotten the best of you again?

You are either a troll or the most obtuse person on this board and I'm really not sure that there's much of a difference.

Seriously bro you’re like a child. For the third time... he shills what he personally likes and shits on what he doesn’t.

He hated the Russo booking of 2000’s TNA and shit on it, despite your retarded argument that he puts over companies that are in a position to be a legit number 2 (which they were back then).

Impact in 2019 is exactly the type of product he loves so he puts it over.

How many more times does this need to be explained to you?

  16. 13 minutes ago, Ace said:

Show examples of him doing so, first.

I guess we’re gonna do the song and dance where we pretend he and Alvarez didn’t make an entire shtick from shitting on TNA. I don’t understand why ppl want to pretend things that happened didn’t. This was from the quickest of quick searches.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess he didn’t send out emails promoting this show.

  17. 8 minutes ago, OSJ said:

But he didn't do that, and no amount of you stamping your little foot and saying "He did so!" makes it true. He shit on TNA when they deserved to get shit on. In fact, Dave has been a whole lot kinder to them over their existence than I have. Does this mean I'm on the take from AEW?

Just trying to understand what passes for thought processes in that cranium of yours.

Are you insane? He shat on TNA every chance he got. His entire stance on TNA for their entire existence was that they were about to go out of business (they never did). Just stop embarrassing yourself because you have nothing to stand on here.

  18. 34 minutes ago, OSJ said:

Yes, but in The World According to Thibs, they've always been on SPIKE and ALWAYS had 2 million viewers despite Dave's attempts to torpedo the company. ?

Well in your world, he’s heaping praise for his buddies company because supposedly he wants a number two promotion since it would be good for his business and not because he’s a shill.

So explain to me why he continuously shat on TNA, including during the time when they were on Spike drawing 2 million? Why didn’t he do everything he can to put them over so there could be a number two company? Why didn’t he send emails to his subscribers promoting their PPV’s?

Because he didn’t like their product and he only shills for the shit he personally likes. Case closed.

  19. 47 minutes ago, OSJ said:

Now, now... We'll have to have Rippa change your screen name to "Ballz" because you're being a little test(e)y

Tell me more about this network TNA was on nobody got (Spike TV) and how it was a niche product (2 million ppl watching).

Out of all the things to say about TNA... why would you say something so stupid..

  20. Just now, AxB said:

Never mind, it's like trying to explain algebra to a foetus. Ignore~!

Then fuck off and don’t answer. The idea that Meltzer isn’t shilling for them is completely insane to anyway that isn’t a troll and a built in bias.

You really are a funny fellow, I'm just not sure yet whether that's "funny ha-ha" or "funny peculiar" or perhaps both. Let us review the facts, facts are interesting things that may get in the way of ridiculous narratives that are constructed by folks with far too much time and far too little mind and nothing really constructive to do with either...

Dave Meltzer writes and has (for decades) written a newsletter about pro-wrestling with a good bit of MMA thrown in as of recent years. With WWE the only major game in town he is severely limited as to his sources and what they will confide in him. The WON is a business, first and foremost; if Dave doesn't have stuff to write about his audience will go elsewhere. These are "facts".

Why would we not expect someone who makes their living from writing about pro wrestling to be excited about having another major company to write about? The last time I looked, two was more than one and if you want to hold up the strawman of TNA being anything other than a small niche promotion with a TV deal on a station that most people don't get, I will laugh at you.

You could save us all a bunch of time by coming right out and admitting that AEW is not your cup of tea, that's fine, it isn't for everyone. But this incessant screeching that Meltzer's somehow on the take reminds me of nothing so much as a baboon throwing feces in its cage because it felt shorted on the bananas.

I stopped at TNA being on a station almost nobody got (Spike TV lol) and drew pretty much what Smackdown gets today... and Dave shit on them every chance he got. So spare me “he wants a second company” bullshit. He wants to put over what he personally likes.

And even if tha wasn’t the case, there’s a difference between being excited about something and actively shilling it.

Also, get your memory checked. TNA was on a station nobody got ??

  22. 3 minutes ago, AxB said:

@Thibs The media has for it's entire history been a mixture of on the one hand, news reporting that tries to get to the facts, and on the other hand opinion pieces in which the writer or editor expresses their personal thoughts and beliefs.

Have you seriously never noticed that CNN and FOX News often cover the same story in very different ways? Why can't you accept that Meltzer has his biases in the same way that every journalist in the world also does?

The news media sucks yes. I complain about that too as do most people I know, and by the sounds of it, you’re not too fond of it either. Meltzer’s shilling is ok because the news media also does it?

Its just a turnoff for me. If you don’t agree then that’s cool no big deal.
