He is a liar. IWC brought Ric in for a show to do pics and autographs back around the time when he did his 3 disc shoot interview. I was in line to meet him with some friends and I was excited because I'd just spoken with Dustin Rhodes and Dustin had asked me to say hi for him. Well there was a girl in line behind us who was maybe 15 at best. Wasn't at the show with friends but was with her parents. Flair kept openly hitting on her to the point where it was extremely weird. He even went along the lines of saying "I want a copy of our photo" He literally didn't say hi or thank you or shit to me or my friends because he was so focused on this 15 yr old girl behind us. People would ask us how Ric was and we would tell the story and they would say "Wow you got to see Naitch be Naitch" No, we got to see an old man act like a fucking pedo. I lost a ton of respect for Ric that night and haven't really cared about him since. I don't doubt anything I hear about him.

Crazy to think the majority of the greats were pricks.
Hogan-racist
Shawn- what didn't Shawn do
Bret- Had girls in every town while married (I'm sure most did)
Flair- Hellicoptering girls around the world
Taker- Bullying people into shitting and pissing on another guys clothes and flag
Benoit- Murderer
Snuka- Murderer
We need to look to the rafters for Real Estate Steve to save our great sport.

Brutus Beefcake talking about The Rockers using H-Bombs
ugh. How common was this?
Many, Many shoot interviews would talk about the Rockers using H-Bombs on girls at bars. Never heard of them using them on other wrestlers. Probably didn't have the balls to.

So when Dreamer said that Flair could helicopter his dick just by moving his hips, and that reason he could do that was because he had a big one... is it just me who thought "But surely everyone can do that"?
I instantly thought of Randy Marsh and "Cock Magic" I then thought "Dreamer can't do this"

I have been an ROH fan since mid 2002 so almost day one. Supported them, been to many live shows, purchased countless shirts/hoodies. But I don't think Covid is the reason for lack of shows. I think it's because they haven't been drawing enough to make any profit and it looks embarrassing. The matches have been good but they need new talent.
When every little indy fed can run, every TV promotion can run with a crowd why can't ROH? Gresham worked GCW last night, many of the guys work other indy's. So surely it's not their call. The fans who purchased honor club for the year have to be furious. they have only had a handful of live shows if that.

Fuck Ric Flair, fuck Tommy Dreamer and fuck Dustin Rhodes. He was the guy who sexually assaulted the other flight assistant on that very flight.
Wasn't it Scott Hall not Dustin? Dustin is the only one that helped Heidi.

Fightful reporting Dreamer won't be at this weekend's tapings, if it's not loaded yet. So that's something, at least.
Apparently they don't like his double ponytail either

And that "Wrestling Code" game is still in early production as well (that may be the one Angle was doing mocap for), seems like a lot of games are in early development. I support more wrestling games being released but I am equally pessimistic that any will be particularly good. For a modern style game, the collision detection/moves seems to be incredibly difficult to make look right in every situation, and these smaller studios just aren't going to have the time or resources. Plus some fans really want a sim, some want arcade-style, its a tough balance to find. Retromania in a way had the right idea, it has its issues but going for the retro feel made their lives a little easier and they were able to basically meet expectations.
yeah Wrestling Code is the Angle game. Too many Arcade style games coming out. Put out a realistic game. Shit N64 had it right. Why can't the modern companies? Retromania was almost like FPR 2.0. Calling it a sequel to Wrestlefest was a lame publicity stunt. It is nowhere near the quality of Wrestlefest and Wrestlefest is 30 yrs older.

I think the phrase "It's still real to me, dammit" applies here. People see what they want to see, especially in relationships. The new spouse/significant other believes that it won't happen to him/her, the other person has matured, they'll be enough for their loved one, the old spouse was toxic and deserved to be cheated on, etc. Hope springs eternal, as they say. I've not been around a lot of serial cheaters - most of my divorced friends' marriages broke up for fairly mundane reasons - but the few times I have gotten a little insight into that scene, my general impression was that normally smart people were ignoring obvious signs of trouble and doing dumb things to prolong the relationship.
I have known one serial adulterer. My sister-in-law's husband's father was a serial cheater who got away with it for 30 years. It was pathetic. The guy had several girlfriends he slept with casually, plus a long-term mistress he kept in a condo on the other end of the state. Basically, everyone in the county they lived in knew he was cheating except the wife, but no one told her (including their kids, who knew about the affairs but kept their dad's secret).
Wife wasn't an idiot but she believed some idiotic stories to keep from getting caught. Early on in their marriage, the husband did a tour overseas (he was in the military back then). Came home with an STD. Somehow convinced his wife he caught it through something other than sexual contact. When they finally got divorced decades later, the wife found out he had an illegitimate Japanese son.
Their marriage finally did implode after 30 years of marriage and most of his secrets (there were a lot of them) came out, but it shouldn't have taken nearly that long. Funny thing was, I didn't think the guy was attractive or charismatic - far from it - but he had no problem attracting women. He reminded me a lot of Carla's ex-husband on Cheer's, who was presented as a ladies man even though he was kind basically a troll.
LMAO!! Are you referring to Carla's Ex husband Nick?!! I just watched the episode on Hulu this morning where he showed up to the daughter (Leah Remini) wedding. He was fucking hilarious when he would talk it was like a scream every time. I think he played hockey on the show too.

Not sure if it's common knowledge but Kurt Angle also has a wrestling video game in the works. He was shooting motion capture footage with Facade this past week.

Considering she was hyping it up and had family there I can safely assume it was a big deal to her. So I don't think there'd be much to support the exploitation argument.
And since Infinit responded to him yes they do suck at timing so if some want to claim that's all it was then fine. But to say it's a case of seeing what one wants to see then might be best to think again about the events leading to her release plus since she's been back. Seems like way too much of a coincidence to say there's nothing to it.
It's a dick move they did plain and simple. Her IG had her so happy about being with family and getting to look up to the seats her and her dad sat in. The new gear, etc. Imagine getting to have this moment and then it's yanked away. Fuck I'd want to leave and I bet she does the first chance she gets. Tommy will tell her how good things are in AEW as well Andrade and off she will be.
Say what you want against AEW but they don't fuck over their employees.

That would be great for the thousand or so employees who had nothing to do with this, but would suffer from unemployment during a pandemic.
What happened with Zelina is garbage. Rollins-Edge didn't have to go 25 minutes. They could have cut one of Heyman's backstage segments. That would have been the time needed to do a women's match or have Zelina give a speech.
How they brought her back under the guise of traveling with Aleister/Malakai again only to release him is super shady.
There's no justification for such poor time management. Whoever is running the show has to make sure Zelina makes it on air. And that goes for most of the other women, too. SD's glaring weak spot is they only focus on whoever is in the women's title scene, currently Becky and Bianca. Sonya gets some time as an official, but all the other women are stuck backstage. Zelina's situation makes it worse.
At the end of the day the call should have been made. Put her on to kick off the show after showing your 9/11 clip. Fuck, have her win a 5 mins squash if you have to but get her on the damn show.
VInce is petty and cares as much about his employees as he does his fans. If you aren't making him millions he could give two shits about you. I became could friends with a gentleman who ran their IT network for years. The stories I've heard about Vince and Kevin Dunn are beyond cringeworthy. Particularly the stuff that went down in Saudi Arabia when they left the crew there.

Capitalizing on 9/11 having the show in NYC is sketchy sure. Having the show in NYC and not having Zelina on the show is absolutely fucking disgusting and why? Do we need the bloodline taking up 45 mins of a 2 hr show? Zelina's IG posts all throughout the week were positive. She had gear made, she was with family whom she rarely sees and all were looking forward to her having a match where she would look out and see where her and her dad sat decades earlier. But WWE had to WWE and fuck it up.
Now I am sure someone will pipe in with "well it's a business" Yeah it is a fucking business but Vince will be the first to show Thea reading the names on Sept 11 since it benefits him. Fuck this company I hope AEW wipes them off the planet

Thinking about the comic books I've read, the second half is usually inferior to the first like Joseph Michael Straczynski and Dan Slott's runs on The Amazing Spider-Man. Rarer still is a great run from beginning to end without a dip in quality. I can only say that about Grant Morrison's Batman, Frank Miller's Daredevil and Tom King's Vision.
Frank's Daredevil run is epic. It brought life into the character and paved the way for Bendis and Brubaker. Have you read Bendis and Brubaker DD yet? How about Mark Waid's? Curious your opinion on them if so.

just saw Rob Black is bringing back XPW. Bill Collier, G-Raver, Atticus Cogar, Shlek, and Eric Ryan all signed so far.

Pittsburgh even has 1-2 black strip clubs. I graduated online college from a Savannah based school and when I drove in for graduation must have passed 3-4 strip clubs in Atlanta alone.
Anyhow, I saw ICW isn't booking Nolan Edwards anymore. Anyone know what he did or was accused of doing?

Another huge note from the show. Tickets said "doors open 6pm and show starts at 7" They actually had matches well before 7. Julia Hart wrestled Diamante, and there was a tag match that happened before 7 pm. So if you go to a show go early. Most shows start late but not AEW.

I was at the show live. Some notes that my friends and I came up with
every single segment had 1 person who was insanely over with the crowd.
Whenever a match would end and the competitors would go back towards the tunnel, they never had time to pose. A backstage interview would pop up on the screen. Sting was going to do his pose and Bryce rushed him into the tunnel. Sting did not look happy.
The show was excellent considering no Cody, no Black, no Miro, no Andrade, no Page.
The Dark Elevation matches before the show were fun. Ray Lyn and Thunder Rosa was fun. Shida looked great in her match.
The crowd was tired for the matches after the show. Brian Cage was in a squash match. The main event was Evans/Angelico vs Lucha Bros.
Eddie Kingston came out to do a long promo and Brit came out to send the crowd home happy.
Sammy Guerva/Serpentico had a spot where the went right into the barricade and it was pushed into Mark Madden's knee. Looked like he may have been legit hurt as he left right after the match.
Unlike WWE, they only had the 1 merch stand and only sold a few shirts. $35 for a shirt that you could get at hot topic for less is not a sound move Tony!!!
There is an Evil Uno meet and greet going on today and a bunch of the wrestlers will be at comic con here Saturday.

I'm sure Chase will be in as he is the KOTW champ and whoever beats him can get the shot. Problem is, I see many people beating him.
I'd love to see some AEW guys out there for G1 too.

Isn't the G1 usually in August? Should be starting in a few weeks then, surely?
usually July-Aug but this year is going to be like last year and they are having it in October due to Corona.

As much as I would love an AEW style G1 (god I would) I just don't think it could happen properly.
NJPW has this tournament go over a month and they have 3-4 2 hr shows a week to run matches. AEW would have to have every match on Dark and Rampage be a part of the tournament and even then would need to have both youtube shows have matches too. The issue is not everyone watches the You Tube shows and people would lose track/focus easily.
Depending on Covid I wouldn't be shocked to see a few AEW guys enter the G1 this year. There may be a deal in place already for all we know.

I never heard stories of Greg the Hammer swinging his hammer. Never heard of Tim the Tool Man Tayler helicoptering his tool. The Brawny towel man never helicoptered his axe. The sad thing is Flair seems to have done this more than once. Hell I bet he did this more often than not. Wonder what Charlotte thinks of all this? Hell was Charlotte on a plane when Ric did this? Imagine how embarrassing that would be. Sitting on the plane with your friends and your dad comes strutting out with a robe (cape according to DSOTW) and nothing on under it. Giving a strip show to the plane. Fuck I'd quit my job and become a hermit.
